Denim Coffee in Chambersburg had been on my list to visit ever since it opened. I am just never in that area. I finally made it there recently when I met up with a friend. When I first entered this version of Denim Coffee, I was struck by how long it was and the lack of windows compared to the Carlisle and Harrisburg locations. As far as the product goes, same great coffee you get from their other locations. I ordered an iced latte with oat milk. I liked the latte, it was very smooth and the flavor of the coffee was really good. Denim offers other drinks like smoothies and kombucha but I always go for the coffee and cannot vouch for those. They also have a limited menu and some baked goods. Not a lot of vegan food options, if any, so I've never eaten anything from any of the Denim locations. Price wise, you're paying less for these excellent, locally roasted coffee drinks than you would at corporate coffee shops or the local shops you'd find in larger cities. Any time I'm in the vicinity of a Denim and looking for coffee, I make it a point to stop in. read more

Barista was more concerned with what was on her phone than serving customers. Not the "cozy coffee house" vibes they want you to believe.

So we stopped here to get some espresso.. I will say their coffee is better than their neighbors (Cafe Brussels)..but don't get it twisted here. It is thick and syrupy.. exactly how's it's described by the owner..not really the consistency I look for in my espresso. You can taste all the flavor notes..but it's BITTER. The barista was rude..when I asked for almond milk like it was stupid of me to ask..I didn't know my question was offensive? The shop on the inside looks like idk.. scary. The ceiling tiles are janky..the floors are stained and old..the seating area as you can tell from the pictures is nothing to be desired..at all. I couldn't tell you if they have a bathroom or not..I wasn't walking back that area to find out either. It's very inconsistent.., to how the espresso is prepared ( one place has a mod bar..this one actually had an espresso machine), to how they make the shop look. Great coffee and a neat spot in downtown. Yes, Chambersburg does have the siren lady but step out of the chains and buy local. C & C offered me a terrific coffee - their day's special latte had mocha and hazelnut and a sprinkling of nutmeg on top. The coffee was quite tasty and a good foam. Hot enough and well done. They have a few muffins and some other pastries available. Plenty of seating in the back and the wifi seemed to work okay for me. Some power outlets could be spotted. I understand that the local constabulary are rather vigilant as far as the parking meters. You've been warned. read more

The cafe looks cute on the outside, however the inside was pretty bare with rickety tables. They did have pretty photographs on the walls that were for sale though. The service was not that great as my daughter and I both ordered and it wasn't busy, but they got my order wrong. I asked for a hot latte (which I specified hot twice since it seemed like she wasn't paying attention) and she still gave me an iced latte. Also, I didn't realize until 3/4 way through the drink that there was a hair stuck between the lid and the inside of the cup. Yuck! Would not go there again! read more

Traveling from out of town.. I always look for a local coffee shop. This one was all I wanted it to be. Small town coffee shop with a quality latte. The apple hand pie was a definite added bonus. The staff and patrons were super friendly with offering suggestions about what else I could do in Chambersburg. Will visit again read more

The staff is friendly and the coffee is fabulous. I love that they are downtown! Their whole bean coffee is roasted to perfection and you can purchase it by the pound. Give me a dirty chai or London Fog and a corn cookie and you've made my day!! read more

The coffee is top notch, however I came today a few minutes before 1pm. Hours on their website and door say they are open until 1:30pm, but they were already closed with no sign stating they were closing early or anything. On top of that, the vibes are not too friendly - though I have previously tolerated that because of the espresso drinks being absolutely amazing. With them being closed, I walked down the block to the other coffee shop (Brussels) - super friendly, but the espresso was bitter to the max and completely undrinkable. read more

A nice little coffee spot right in the town square. The offer a great variety of products but they tend to run out of items and cut corners on occasion. I was in early one morning and I was served yesterdays blond roast. I love kombucha and they offer it on draft, the only issue is they always seem to be out of it... not sure if they need to order more often or whoever makes the 'buch is behind schedule. Either way, this is a cool place but they have some minor issues that could be corrected that would put this place over the top. read more

Located on the square, it sees a decent amount of foot traffic, and offers outdoor seating seasonally. I frequently make use of the wifi and bottomless coffee while working on the go. read more

My friends and I enjoy coming here for the coffee etc. We, do not, however come as often as we would like because of the clientele. Management, for whatever reason permits locals to come into the establishment, sleep on the furniture, bring in groceries, sit an entire day at a front table and generally make the place uninviting for other paying guests! I'm an ardent "locavore" and proponent of small businesses, but only if the place hits the mark. Sad to say my experience at C&C Coffee was not inspiring. The coffee was good, but expensive, good luck with that cheap rating. The menu seemed well-rounded: lots of caffeinated options, oodles of sweets for the brunch crowd, but limited selection and amount of lunch fare. The place was well laid-out, there looked to be seating for around two dozen, with smallish tables near the glass front and cozier chairs around a faux fireplace and a couch towards the rear. Also, about parking - there is public parking in this area of Chambersburg, but it requires some prior knowledge about how Chambersburg is laid out. Otherwise I would mind your parking meter and good luck getting in and out of a parallel-parking spot without a few close calls thanks to the speed of traffic there on Main Street. Also, I would keep to myself if you are a lone female thinking of visiting, some of the locals in this area of town are loiterers who make my hair stand up a bit. My experience may not be typical, but here goes... I visited mid-day on a Friday, and unbeknownst to me this coffee shop was occupied by college students on break who had come to hang out and "work". That said, the ambiance was seriously depreciated thanks to the coziness between this particular group and the staff - whom were speaking loudly to be heard by each other, and every other patron in attendance. I have no problem with conversation, or friendliness, or familiarity, but I learned far more about these individuals personal lives than I had ever wanted to. I may have to give the place another try, or just keep it in mind for a low-key date location or brunch with the girls. read more

The coffee was good, the space was generous, and the staff were very welcoming. Only downside is the lack of outlets, which meant we camped near the corner in order to use the hub extension cord for our tech. If you need a place to study but you're more analog than digital, this would be an excellent place to get some work done. Another downside is that it's quite dim in the main back room--your eyes will get strained after a while. Their decor is also very nice, sort of hipster bookshop meets artsy cafe. read more

Expertly brewed hot and iced coffee as well as specialty drinks and made to order drinks. The small business has a variety of delicious and ever-changing baked good from Jana's Bakery. The Red Velvet cupcakes and hand pies are a favorite of mine. C&C recently expanded to lunch offerings and I'm so glad they did. The food is scrumptious, healthy, and modestly priced. The atmosphere is friendly. C&C's mission to contribute to the local and distant community is reflected by their involvement in downtown activities and their sale of Abendego coffee which contributes a portion of profits to charity. If you are looking for a delicious cup of coffee that warms your heart and your soul this is the coffee shop for you. read more

The view from the outside was that the place was closed. I went inside and was shocked by how empty the shelves and space was. It was like they were moving out. The shop was big, there's a lot of potential in there but they aren't utilizing all the space effectively. They could work on the ambiance and made the place warm and inviting and smell like coffee. They had advertised that there was a bakery inside as well....where? The four sad pastries on the counter looked like your great aunts treats that were left out since last Sunday's dinner. It looked like an abandoned old house, cold and weird. I was shocked by the fact that I had to pour my own milk. I was even more shocked when I tasted the coffee. I took three sips before I threw it out. Once, and once again because there was no way it could be that bad. Once again to confirm yes indeed it IS that bad. Somehow musty, and gritty and dirty mixed with the cold ice. It was a very confusing three sips. I tossed it as soon as I could. read more

I've experienced better with in this very place. Recent and immediate changes have gone in to affect with out a NOTICE to customers. 1 hour internet and raising prices to name a few. These changes are forcing customers to seek out a new place to drink coffee and not feel like they are being guilt tripped in to buying more and more. read more

I am a "mocha snob", always on the hunt for a fabulous mocha. After talking with the barrista, who is also the co-owner, I realized he is a well-informed coffee researcher. The mocha had rich coffee and chocolate flavors perfectly blended for perhaps the best mocha I've had in all my travels. read more
