Freedom Performing Arts Company is a dance studio for ballet and this fall 2018 they are having…read moreclasses for students as young as 5 years old. They have classes for beginning ballet, advance, pre pointe, pointe, and contemporary. There is also a sibling discount. In addition to ballet classes, they also have Barre fitness classes and High Fitness classes. As a customer, I'm reviewing the fitness classes. I love the Barre and High fitness classes. The reason I love the Barre fitness classes is because it is ballet based and not "fitness" based. I've previously taken a Barre fitness class elsewhere and it was more about strength training at the bar and not necessarily based on ballet. This studio is about ballet and using that as the basis for the Barre fitness classes. They are generally low impact, but very effective ballet techniques used to strength train. The studio only just recently added the High fitness classes, which is a good cardio class that uses repetitive, easier to follow dance moves to get your heart rate going. Both types of fitness classes are 45 mins long. You can attend as many fitness classes for a $30 monthly membership fee. The studio is run by 2 sisters, Deidre and Danielle, who have extensive ballet training and with Deidre also training professionally with Ballet Magnificat. Danielle is a personal trainer. Both do the Barre classes. Danya is the new gal doing the High fitness classes. I love how these ladies run their classes, so that's why I wanted to get their studio up on Yelp because I really want to see their studio grow. They do have a Facebook page if anyone wants to get more information on them.

We got invited here for a night of karaoke. Stepping into these kind of establishments (veteran…read moreprivate clubs) smoking is allowed; I didn't mind it too much (I quit almost 2 years ago). The building was old and typical, bar, eating area, pool table, military things hanging on the walls, etc. I ordered beer for the wife, and a soda for me (designated driver) while we waited for friends to arrive and karaoke to begin. It was an older crowd, didn't matter though as most were friendly and inviting. The lady running the karaoke that night (forgot her name) ran a good show as the microphone sounded warm and full, showcasing the vocals more than the music. Overall a good time (I loved the popcorn machine) and we'll probably be back again.

Their web site shows both as open as far as we can tell. Before we drove out there we tried to find a phone # for the Lemon Grove but apparently they don't use the phone. We wanted a yellow watermelon so drove to the other location. They told us 95 was closed for the summer. We did get 2 yellows about the size of a big grape fruit and paid $6.99 each. It will be a very, very cold day (with snow) in Yuma before we ever go to the Lemon Grove again. Ellis S.

Buying tickets isn't as convenient anymore either. The outside kiosks are gone, cant use ticket machines and ordering online adds extra fees. So you're stuck going inside. Concessions are frustrating. Lines are long, yet staff don't seem organized, and service feels slow. Popcorn is overly buttery even when you ask for less, and everything--sodas, combos--feels overpriced with no real deal or savings. Rewards are also a hassle since staff rarely ask for your membership. Seating is just okay. It's tight, not very comfortable, and doesn't recline like other theaters. On top of that, bathrooms are inconveniently located all the way near concessions instead of being more accessible. Relatively clean except for area you get condiments, usually dirty. AND, they no longer have flavored seasons . Overall, it's not a great experience for the price. I'd give it a 3.5/5
