They offer classes for children as well as for adults. They even offer private parties. Oh, not to forget--BYOB, and snacks. Although I can't imagine myself having to multitask between painting, munching and sipping wine, I think that it adds to the fun and casual vibe of the place. The two ladies who are there are very helpful and they do their best to make you feel at home. In other words, they're there to support you in your pursuit to discover your inner artist. Based on my first ever visit, I notice that there's quite a nice diversity of guests to come. One can tell most of them are not newbies to Artsy Fartsy, and it looks like some who came over are friends. I myself came with two good friends, and for all it's worth, having them sitting right next to me really made me feel at ease, having to sit in a sea of perfect strangers. And yes, we had snacks of fresh fruit, bite-sized chocolates, and pretzels LoL but we didn't bother with eating because, as I've said before, it was very hard to eat and paint and drink. Clearly various activities occur here but I'm here for the dog shows hosted by the Yuma Kennel Club and the Imperial Valley Kennel Club. There are a few vendors offering everything from toys, treats, chews, collars and leashes to those providing beverages, snacks, and meals to help us keep up our energy for winning, long show days. Club members are helpful and cheerful volunteers. Exhibitors bring some impressive competition. And in addition to the Conformation show you may also see Rally Trials as well as CGC and ATT testing offered. A really nice venue.

Once inside, there were food trucks, special areas you could pay for to have seating, free area with aircraft for pics, and non food vendors. Entry started at 9am. Show was from 10:30-4. I booked an appt with Tony for a palm sized tattoo to begin with because it's all the time I had…read moreallotted before business closed, I actually had 3 tattoos I was planning on. Tony ended up staying open late to perform all of the artwork I was hoping to complete, he turned my 2 hr session into a 6.5 hour accommodation. And the work was exactly what I envisioned to fill in my arm. Tony followed up with me to thank me for coming in and offered condolences over the loss of my parent, this is next level human connection people. In my 30 years of being tattooed, this is what I've learned is value in the experience and in finding the right one to do the work. This is how I responded: "Please call me Andy. Thanks for the steady 6.5 hours of work Tony, you're a beast! I am super happy with the outcome. I appreciate the kind words about my mom, I've unfortunately become accustomed to loss, although that doesn't make it easier when someone we love moves along to the next journey. As I was laying there, zoning into a meditative space, I realized that having a calm soul tattoo us those things that we hold dear is in a lot of ways a form of effective therapy. A healthy way to take some time to center and reflect and use pain and expression to act as shepherds towards transition... where the trauma of the spirit and the trauma of the body can move together in healing. Keep doing what you do for society sir..., for the happy, and the sad, the found and the lost...and those of us that seek a unique brand of therapy under the needle. A marvelous museum that all prominent professionals and dignitaries have or will visit. But it…read moreisn't just open to those few, it is open to all of humanity who wants to have an enriched experience--an absolute must to visit! It is a magnificent display of history and art that transcends academia by utilizing all of the human senses. Upon arrival, one is immediately intrigued by Michelangelo's bronze arm that points along a line that travels though a pyramid and into history etched on granite before arriving at a church on a hill that overlooks the area. As one enters the museum, a docent greets the visitor and introduces the museum by a short film. The pyramid is opened where you have an opportunity to enter and be photographed standing at the "Center of the World," to capture your own history. From within the pyramid, you can feel the cool granite stone and see the sunlight glistening off the beautiful etched granite in the history courtyard--what beauty the Pyramids of Giza must have displayed during its day! You take a fresh breathe of the outdoor air as you approach the magnificent etched granite that displays the history of humanity. Being inspired by the great artists, philosophers, scientists, leaders, and many others--you continue to walk around under the blue blanket sky studying those topics of interest. At the end, you can ascend up a series of stairs to the Church. As you approach the heavens, you can sit and look out towards the mountains, desert, and blue skies. You pause to process what you just experienced while also subconsciously reflecting upon your own story of life. This is not the end. Departing from this experience, you stop to have a cold Felicity beverage at their restaurant where you further reflect. Finally, you slowly leave this spectacular museum, while subconsciously asking yourself, "what more can I do"--leaving this place with a new sense of belonging and a desire to accomplish more in life!
