I wasn't shopping for anything in particular but I wanted to see the new location. I picked up a basket and kept adding items. How could I pass up a nice size head of cauliflower? Or nice big radishes? Oh look I needed celery. As a cooking novice, I went with the "regular" mushrooms but I saw other types that I may need to come back for. The refrigerators had local dairy products, meat, and pierogies. I had to get the spinach and ricotta pierogies (made in McKees Rocks). I can't say no to a snickerdoodle cookie and there were pumpkin snickerdoodles too. Lots of homemade breads, pies, cinnamon rolls, etc. It is the attention to detail that stood out to me. The radishes were in a resealable (ziploc like) bag. The mushrooms were in a clam shell container. I didn't have to find storage containers which I appreciate. The staff were very friendly and well versed in the products. Ample parking. If you miss the GPS turn, make the next right and come in through the back of the parking lot. Very glad to see the Market has expanded in its new location.

They are whole strawberries covered completely in chocolate, like the old Joseph Horne ones of my youth. No Shari's Berries or Anthony Thomas for me. I want Andersons. You are advised to keep them frozen. I live nearly 200 miles away, and it's summer. But I came prepared. I have one of those frozen grocery bags that you keep in the freezer and a big ice pack, and it all goes into my Trader Joe frozen food bag. This place is filled with chocolate. My only regret is I forgot to ask if they make a version of Annaclaires, a childhood favorite from Gimbels.

So off I went on Xmas Eve day, on a 40 minute trek from the city to find what she called "the best chocolate on earth". I arrived 10 minutes before close, and the owner was so bubbly and helpful. I have some dietary avoids, and this store carries a variety for every body. She convinced me to try their vegan raw non-dairy and gluten-free bar for myself, made from coconut palm sugar that has a low glycemic index (great for blood sugar!) - it was as tasty a bar of dark chocolate that I've ever had. I also purchased some cordial cherries, white chocolate mint meltaways, and truffles for the family. And, they were regarded as among the best chocolate everyone had ever had. I'll definitely be back - it was definitely worth the drive!

My husband and I visited this factory store one time. When we entered the store, an employee greeted us and asked if we needed any assistance. Some of the flavors of chocolates were not labeled, so I recommend that the store add more labels. The employee did answer my question about a particular flavor. This store had many display cases and shelves of chocolates in flavors such as chocolate truffle, cherry cordial, caramel, peanut butter, pecan, cashew, butter cream, pretzel, coconut, Oreo, etcetera. I also saw some candies such as gummies, licorice, and taffy. My husband and I picked out five chocolates for a total cost of $33. The employee promptly rang up our purchase, thanked us, and wished us a good day. At home, my husband and I ate our chocolates. Here are our ratings: Chocolate-covered mini pretzels - 3 stars - I thought that these chocolate-covered pretzels tasted *very* buttery. Peanut-butter cup - 4.5 stars - This chocolate was a large size and looked as if it could have been poured more neatly. I did enjoy the flavor of the peanut butter. Bag of bloopers chocolates - 4 stars - This one-pound bag contained an assortment of imperfect chocolates. I felt happy that a cherry cordial was included, and it seemed to contain crystallized sugar. Some other flavors were nut clusters, peanut butter, coconut, pretzel, etcetera, and they tasted good. Cordial strawberry - 5 stars - A cordial strawberry is covered in chocolate and contains much liquid. According to the business's website, a cordial strawberry is made from a cut piece of strawberry that is dipped in liquid fondant and then chocolate layers. I thought that this piece was a large size and that the cordial was a bit messy but very flavorful. Milk-chocolate bar - 4 stars - My husband ate this 3.5-ounce milk-chocolate bar, and he said that it was good.

You look at this huge "strawberry" the size of a golf ball and think this is going to be soooooo good. The problem arises once you bite in to find it is filled with sugary juices, white cream and HALF A SMALL STRAWBERRY! There was not even a full strawberry in this! The strawberry was not even the size of a quarter. I believe in supporting local businesses, I really do. But, in this case, I have to suggest you save your money! Betsy Ann.... I am lactose intolerant, not a big eater or sweet eater so vegan matches my taste buds and needs a little better than real ice cream. I had a small strawberry shortcake sundae which was the right size (very nice workers said the large size is for sharing). I forgot to say no whipped cream, I'm so used to not eating whipped cream I forgot to try the vegan version nooo but I ate all of the sundae which is not like me! It was just right, not too heavy or sweet like I prefer. Very jam packed with flavor in small pieces. The prices match the costs of the product for vegan ingredients and a place like this is hard to find in the area. They seem to do great! Have sundaes, shakes, take home pints, cones, cups and other. It is small being as not enough standing room for more than 5-6 customers so grab and go style. Check out their neat menu (& the pup's jealousy)! Recommend and love it! Worth the drive. It was hard to spot for us at first as wasn't super noticeable, street parking seems all available.

I did too. We tried peanut butter chocolate ripple and pumpkin caramel cream. I liked them both! The PB ripple was very peanut buttery, which is my favorite ice cream flavor. The chocolate ripple was pretty liquid, not like a thick fudge ripple. It added a sugary flavor which balanced the creamy chocolate, but it wasn't very well distributed through the ice cream, so you'd get a mostly chocolate syrup bite, and then the rest of the dish was only PB. I slightly preferred the pumpkin caramel, which was a mix of a creamy vanilla caramel ice cream, with almost a marshmallow texture and flavor, as well as a very strong pumpkin spice ice cream. The pumpkin was maybe a little much, it was almost bitter, but it was so nicely distributed and balanced by the sweet creamy flavor I didn't mind much. Even though the flavor combos weren't completely spot on, I thought the texture and flavor of the ice cream base itself was pretty much unbelievable for a vegan product. It was thick and creamy. Melted like a dream!
