I really loved the taste and text of my grits. However when it came to the food there were some slip-ups which could have been due to the busyness of the establishment. That's usually both a…read morered and green (brown? lol) flag for me, but the space is huge - indoor and outdoor seating - so putting our names down only resulted in a 20 minute wait. Entirely manageable. Started off with the Tropic Like It's Hot mocktail (pineapple, orange juice, coconut water cream). Pretty tasty, crisp, and refreshing. Then came the cornbread muffins with the "liquid gold" spun honey. Unbelievable. Hot, crumbly, and easily the best thing on the table. Whoever is running the pastry program in the back understands pure physics. I could've eaten a dozen of those alone. For the entree, I got the Spiced Maple Chicken & Grits - fried chicken tossed in maple hot sauce, grits, two eggs, benton's bacon, and scallions - along with a side biscuit and jam. Complete hit. The chicken had a great crunch, the heat-to-sweet ratio was locked in, and the grits were smooth. Biscuit was flaky and proper, too. Bottom line: Buttermilk Kitchen executes at a high level even when swamped. Just don't skip the cornbread. I'll definitely be back.

They have a mini lot in the front and two in the back but space is limited. We had the biscuit trio and they were good. They get cold fast though. It comes with 3 jams and butters for you to try. The French toast was good but idk how fresh the bread was bc the crusts were hard- especially after cooking. It was actually kind of disappointing bc I had a much higher expectation for the texture and flavor. There's nothing special about it. My friend loved her grits, eggs and bacon dish. Service was good and timely. Overall, I'd go back and try something different but would definitely get the biscuits again.

It was a nice treat for brunch and definitely really unique. I'd order it again for sure. Chicken and Waffles - 4.5/5 - one of my favourite dishes and had to have it while I was in Atlanta! They didn't disappoint and it was really tasty. Would definitely come here again if in Atlanta for brunch. Service - 5/5 - We came back in July 2026 (catching up on reviews) and our waitress, Sydney, was such a delight. She was so sweet, had great, prompt service, and she even tried to get us a peach to try (though they didn't have any left) since we were from out of town and wanted to try. Thank you for the memorable experience. Biscuits - 4.5/5 - So yummy and fresh with butter. Loved it. Since we arrived after the breakfast rush, we were seated with minimal wait before the lunch crowd came in. The restaurant was busy, but service moved quickly, and we were able to place our orders right away. I ordered the cream cheese stuffed brioche French toast, which came with scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Since I'm not big on eggs, I asked about substituting the eggs with hard boiled ones instead. I was told it would be an upcharge because the scrambled eggs are made from liquid mix while the substitute would require real eggs. I decided to omit the eggs altogether based on that policy. It took a little while for our food to arrive, but everything came out hot. The French toast had just the right amount of sweetness, the bacon was cooked well, and the potatoes were nicely seasoned. Overall, the meal was satisfying, and I would definitely visit again when I'm in the area. **Free parking is available behind the business in a large city parking lot**

We ordered this Injelomi Croffle, along with this Black Sesame Shaved Ice to share. Well, the Croffle was still beautifully presented (though a tad differently), and tasted delish. But to be frank, I thought it looked and tasted better on my first visit. As for the shaved ice, the Black Sesame presentation was downright ugly (must deduct a point for this!)...but luckily, this dessert tasted refreshingly good! I just felt that this should have been presented better. Despite some disappointments with the presentations, we thoroughly enjoyed both desserts. I'm sure I'll be returning in the future.
