Great local cafe with excellent service and menu options. I was pleasantly surprised with the Californian:yum!! Will be back soon.

Best omelette s in Illinois. Service is always good and food is great! Awesome selection for breakfast and lunch plus they offer the morning paper! read more

We came at lunchtime on a Saturday but all had breakfast items. The south of the border quesadilla was mild, no jalapeños and no beans. It was very light. The stuffed potato pancakes were enjoyed by one of our table mates as always. Fairly dense with eggs, cheese and the shredded potato pancakes they appear to be a solid choice for someone who is quite hungry. The apple Gouda melt on Texas toast with sweet potato fries was very tasty but the sweet potato fries were not quite as crisp as they should've been. They did have a nice seasoning on the outside that give them extra flavor. The aye caramba skillet was ordered with hashbrowns but it came out with diced potatoes. It would've been nice to see it with hashbrowns as the chorizo sausage was very well cooked and not at all greasy. The melted cheese dripping into the hash browns would have been more interesting to me than diced potatoes which were just a hair under cooked. The jalapeños were nice and spicy. The wheat toast was rather lacking in flavor as it was very blonde and not as dark as I would normally expect wheat toast to be. It was nice that they did not pre-butter the bread, but for a table of four there were only two containers of whipped butter on the table. They should check that between seatings. As a dessert we ordered the carrot cake pancakes. They were not too sweet and had good care of flavor with shredded raw carrots, toasted pecans and a sweetened cream cheese in between the three pancakes. For added sweetness they brought out pancake syrup that you could add to it. Not sure I could eat a whole plate of this, but it was delicious as a shared item. The menu is almost overwhelming with so many choices. They have a couple of specials every day as well that they show on the table as you enter the restaurant. The service was very pleasant although she did mess up the skillet order. If in the area and looking for breakfast or lunch we would return. read more

Great food and service. We love the staff, the food, and the atmosphere! We are always seated quickly and have our food in a timely manner.

Food is great. As busy as they were, excellent service. Great Place to have Sunday breakfast read more

Ask for Jen. She is the best. Food is fantastic. The lox plate is delicious. You won't be sorry

Dining indoor or having it delivered the food is always good! The staff is friendly too. The restaurant could use some updating with its booths and getting some things repaired but overall it's a good breakfast place. read more

While making an order on DoorDash, the cook completely forgot my bacon and my eggs. It wasn't the door dashers fault, completely the chef. The order I had made originally came with eggs so for them to completely forget the MAIN food is completely unprofessional. I understand missing the bacon as it was a side order but to forget the literal main thing is completely unbelievably. read more

Best breakfast and lunch I have had in the area, plenty of choices of consistent, high quality, very well presented and reasonably priced food served by very professional and friendly staff in a family friendly environment. What else could one ask for? You come in hungry and walk away with a happy face and a belly!! :-) Thanks to the impressive owners/management team who have got this right, down to the T and run this business like a process, the staff never misses a beat. Everything is done as expected to a what I would sum up as perfection of some sort!! I love this place!!! Nick Finia read more

Lovely place in Northern Illinois, had time to catch a nice breakfast before a meeting near Wisconsin, the place had good reviews from a lot of people so we decided to try it out, I ordered the black and blue fillet and we also ordered the cinnamon crepes, they were both delicious, the staff was super friendly and service was fast and very attentive, if I lived near here this would be one of my favorite breakfast places, definitely if you are in the area give it a try. read more

Excellent food and Lauren's service and cheerful personality made the whole experience perfect.

Love the biscuits and gravy. Service is friendly and food comes out quick. Will be back

I definitely recommend this place, the quality and service are excellent, but lately the prices have gone up, and the sandwiches have gotten a bit smaller too and they have started to nickel and dime their customers for small stuff. We used to go there and spend under $30 for two persons. Now, for the same items, we are looking at $45. read more

We visited this place today for breakfast. There's something I liked about them, one the speed of service, they are by no means fast food, but if you need to grab a bite under an hour, you can make it happen here. The second part was their food, we ordered two specials the black & blue skillet and the cinnamon apple crepes. Both of them amazing!!! The crepes were not too thin, they had as topping cinnamon, apples and dried cranberries. The skillet had potatoes, steak, two sunny side eggs and blue cheese. Very, very tasty, just too heavy for me for breakfast, but if you're a meat lover this is a great option. Our waitress was very sweet and on top of things. If I'd live in this city, this would definitely would be one of my to go places for breakfast or brunch! read more

What a gem! Went here because of the reviews and this place did not disappoint! Although they were busy-we were seated right away-waitress was friendly and efficient. Eggs Benedict was great with thick slice of Canadian ham and the make your omelette was cooked perfectly. But the hash browns were the best we have had -ever-anywhere!!! OJ was freshly squeezed and not too sweet. The portions are huge. Easy to park. read more

I took my 84 year old dad here for breakfast/brunch after a doctor appointment across the street. It was very busy, even at 11am on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. We both ordered breakfast and a side of bacon. Everything was fabulous. Fresh fruit, crispy thick cut bacon, fresh squeezed juice. We will definitely be back after the next doctor appointment. read more

Ask for Kacy as your server. Kacy has to be the friendliest server we ever have had. We ask for her all the time. Coffee or my tea is never left unfilled. The food is fantastic. We have never had anything under par. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. In short, if I could rate it a 10 I would, so I am. So many of our friends go there as well and love it. You rock Kacy. read more

Definitely one of our "go to" places even though 30+ minutes away. The Staff has always been very welcoming, and the wait service has been top notch. Portions are very generous, and we usually have another dinner waiting in the refrigerator to heat up. read more

Always an excellent brunch stop! Quality service with exceptional food, reasonably priced!

Food is always great with a good selection. Food gets out quickly even for large group. Staff is always courteous and helpful.

Always have a good breakfast! Whether it be pancakes or scrambled eggs or sunny eggs with hashbrowns and toast it's always decent.

Great food consistently good. Always busy but quick service and pleasant staff. We always know we're going to have a nice time.

This restaurant is the best breakfast/ brunch spot in town in my opinion. They always have great tasting fresh food and are willing to accommodate even the pickiest of eaters. I am on salt restrictions, Vegetarian and gluten free and my husband is allergic to poultry, it's never a problem. The staff is always polite and friendly, from the hostess to the waitresses and even the kind men who clean up. They're all very nice and the waitresses are the bomb! They always have recommendations to help me stick to my food restrictions. The price of the food is average, you do usually get a generous amount of food. I highly recommend you try it once! You'll get hooked just like we did! We now go anywhere from 2-4 times a week! read more

I want to put a shout out to brunch cafe their a great restaurant, I have been door dashing for 2 yrs now and I have to say they are a well oiled machine, they meet and greet each customer as if their family, the ATMOSPHERE is warm each time I go in to put up my order for online..They get their customers in and out quickly and with the covid going on they make sure everyone is safe, they truely love their customers and it shows..i have to say without ( bri their manager) it would not run as well, she is all over that restaurant making sure each one is happy and enjoying their meals, as a driver for door dash she is always looks out for me and get that customer is also taken care of..BRI YOU ROCK AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR HARD WORK..ted the owner is lucky to have you.. I called at 11am and got my name down for 12pm. We were able to get a table within 5 min of arriving. I got the brunch burger with rye bread. Should have just gotten it without the bread- the bread was thicker than my hubby's toast. Anyway I removed the bread and still did not enjoy my burger. I was dipping it in ketchup because it was so tasteless. The fries were skinny and crunchy and I wasn't a fan. However, the other 3 in my party enjoyed their meals! My hubby got the special prime rib and eggs with toast and fruit. He enjoyed it! The waitress was really nice! I guess the lesson here is don't get a lunch food at a breakfast place. I ordered the wrong item. Came here again and got the Mexican chorizo skillet. It was soo spicy! The jalapeños were big! Came with a side of pancakes. Overall pretty good! This is right next to a gas station, feels like a truck stop diner but a little bit nicer. read more

My Yelp friend Christina S convinced me to check out this breakfast place. From the minute my husband & I were walking in the parking lot to the door, I smelled bacon & maple syrup. Wow, I was hoping that this would be a start to a great experience. When we walked in, someone explained the specials which they had displayed by the door. We sat in a huge booth & knew that if we ever brought the whole family, my muscular step sons would sit comfortably in these seating arrangements. Our server was Sara (not Sarah) & she was great to us Newbies. She was informative & always checked on us. She even asked how everything was & wanted us to come back. I ordered my basic --- Buttermilk Pancakes & they were great. Next time, I will try their French Toast. They are opened for breakfast & lunch, so I would not mind coming back for lunch either. I'm glad we have another breakfast spot to go to. read more

We went on a Saturday morning around 8:30 and it was already busy but even despite that our visit was great! Food was perfect, hash browns were crispy like we asked. So this place is across the street from my hospital and as a night shift nurse it is our go to place for mimosas and amazing food. I personally love the portobenny and a strawberry mimosa. They are delicious. This thing that stuck out to me the most is that I once ordered breakfast from work and was going to pick it up on my way home, but I got caught up in an emergency and was late to get out. I then received a phone call from the owner/manager of the restaurant and his first words were " I am calling just because I was getting worried and wanted to make sure you were ok" not "you forgot your food here." It just goes the show the quality of the people working here. They are incredible wholesome individuals. read more

The food is always great here! They have recently changed coffee brands (Luciano, I believe?). In my opinion, it sucks!, sucks!, sucks! And if they don't fix their coffee issue, my rating of their establishment will continue to plummet!!!!!! read more

I adore this place! I have recommended it to family and friends who have checked it out since, and they rave about it too! Used to frequent Brunch Cafe first thing in the morning after working night shift with fellow nurses, and the manager always greeted us with a smile and remembered us. Wait staff is attentive and friendly, never received bad service here. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes to get a seat, usually we walk right in. Menu has so many breakfast or lunch items to choose from, all of which look amazing. From Chocolate bacon pancakes, to California Crepes, or the skillets - I try something different every time I go and have never been disappointed. Big portions and food comes out quickly. Mimosas or Bloody Marys available as alcohol options (a must after a long daunting night shift!). Decent prices too. I definitely recommend Brunch Cafe as it is by far my favorite joint to visit for breakfast! read more
