This is one of my partners fave BBQ places. It's not close to us but we have to drive there every few months so he can get a rib fix. He loves them. I usually get the brisket and 80% of the time, it's really good. I like the lean side and always ask for it. There's been a few times they ignored my request and the brisket is very fatty. I won't touch it. The food gets the four stars. The parking and the nasty port-a-potty and building in the parking lot, are very unappetizing. We parked by this building one time not realizing how gross it is. There was a hole in the side of the building and flies were swarming in and out. I literally got a little sick to my stomach sitting there. Some of the employees were going in and out of the single port-a-potty back to the food trailer. I admit all I could think about was how I really hope there is a place for people to wash their hands well once they get back and are handling the food. I realize it's a small business but if they could figure out a better solution, I think it would be more sanitary. They are always busy when we go and I'm glad this small business is doing well. I'm not a huge BBQ fan but when I get the lean cut of the brisket, it's really yummy. One of these days, I'll remember to take pics before we eat all the BBQ. read more

Because after one visit, it's one of my favorite BBQ spots in all of Tampa Bay. --- --- --- I saw Bruh Mans BBQ pop up in the Hot & New Businesses section a while back and have wanted to stop by ever since. I finally got that opportunity this afternoon for the rare weekday lunch out and I don't think I could have possible enjoyed it anymore. My wife met me here and we did what we always do at BBQ places - picked our favorite 4 meats and 4 sides and shared everything. We opted for: Ribs, Brisket, Chicken and Pulled Pork for the meats Potato Salad, Mac-n-Cheese, Coleslaw and Baked Beans for the sides. Usually when we do this, there's one or two stand-outs, one or two misses and the rest just kind of fits somewhere in the middle. But honestly, I loved all of it. However, my favorite were the ribs. They were UN. REAL. Don't even consider coming here without ordering the ribs. We ate a bunch of our food at a makeshift table here and then decided to pack up the rest for leftovers. When I got home, I couldn't help but re-open the boxes and eat more ribs. Usually ribs end up being more build-up in my mind and result in disappointment, but these were what dreams are made of. I think what separated them from normal ribs was how hearty they were + super smoky/flavorful. We opted for the sweet Carolina sauce on the ribs and brisket, with the regular sauce on the chicken and pulled pork. I loved both sauces, but my one and only regret for this experience is that I wish we had asked for a little extra sauce on side. There was a lot of sauce on top and bottom of the plate, but less in the middle. The sides were all great. The potato salad had some extra seasoning on top, which was a nice top. The coleslaw was zesty. The mac-n-cheese was pretty much ideal. And the baked beans definitely had some brown sugar in them, which was a nice complement to everything else. As I mentioned, we sat at literally the only two seats here. Your best bet is to order from here and take it to go. Along with Konan BBQ, I think these two are the best in Tampa Bay when you're looking for Q! read more

My favorite new bbq place. Not dine-in, to go only. He smokes the meat on site, fresh for each order, so you will have a serious wait. But it is well worth it! You have a choice of 4 different sauces (maybe more), and the menu itself is pretty extensive compared to most food trucks. So far I've had the ribs, brisket and sausage as meat options. All phenomenal! For sides, I've had the baked beans, mac and cheese, collard greens and potato salad. Again, all phenomenal! I'm a customer for as long as these guys are around! I was craving some barbecue beef brisket recently and, to my delight, Yelp recommended Bruh Mans BBQ. It was only a 10 minute drive from my home so I naturally decided to give them a try. The GPS in your phone may instruct you that you need to make a u turn if you are heading west on Busch blvd to their location; however, this is not the case. They are located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Busch blvd and 26th street. You absolutely can turn south at this intersection to get to the food truck, just FYI. As with most barbecue food trucks I have experienced, they may be out of certain sides by the time you dine. I had my heart set on some mac n cheese; but they only had cole slaw and collard greens left by the time I arrived (4pm EST). I don't fault them for this, but just want others to be mindful of this. Perhaps even consider calling ahead to identify which sides they have available. They, also, had a live DJ on site which was very entertaining. Please be aware that the music selection includes adult language and content. I wish I was aware of that before visiting. I likely would have left my 4 yo daughter in the car with my wife instead of bringing her with me. The Good: The collard greens were amazing. My wife and I both loved them. The cole slaw was pretty good, too, though I am not naturally a huge fan. The chicken was moist, tender, and oozing with flavor. My wife is an avid turkey leg fanatic. She was not disappointed with theirs at all. She ate it so quick that I almost didn't get a chance to taste it. The sausage was very good, also. The serving size for their meats and sides are pretty generous in my opinion. Area for Improvement: I started this review stating that I was craving beef brisket which I tried and must say that I was disappointed. The brisket was extremely dry. I ordered it as the 2nd meat in two separate orders thinking I would have some for now and a later date to enjoy a second time. Unfortunately, both servings were overly dry. I didn't end up eating either one. In summary, if you are in the area and looking for some good barbecue, definitely consider Bruh Mans BBQ. The only exception would be brisket lovers. We would need to choose another option. I didn't try the ribs. In retrospect, I should have used them as one of the options in one of the 2 meat combos so I could include them in the review. Best ribs in Tampa. Beats 4 Rivers handily. Don't tell my doc but we've eaten there weekly since we discovered it. Just had their "Dino" ribs this weekend and my God...meat heaven. I seriously might consider having these guys grill for my wedding, they're that good. Try their Cajun sausage too and ask for the more well done pieces...much more flavor. Stumbled on to this while going towards Busch Gardens. My friend saw smoke stacks as we turned into the Popeyes across the street to figure out how to get there. We flipped a U turn and parked in the lot behind the building near the smoker. Ordered the 4 meat platter with Brisket. The extra charge was worth it. There was only 2 of us and it looked like it can feed 3-4 people. Got the brisket, ribs, pulled pork and chicken with collard greens and Mac & Cheese. Between both of us, we ate half the meat and touched the sides. Brisket was my favorite while his was pulled pork and chicken. Oh. My. God. I love bbq, and I have a few places near and dear to my heart.. but this has to be the best bbq I've had. I live a couple blocks down and I've always been curious. Today I got off work early, I'm cruising with the windows down, and the smell from the smoker punched me in my face like Mike Tyson. My mouth instantly started to water. So I pull in and I'm greeted with some Biggie Smalls blastin.. already a good sign and I'm excited. I order the pulled pork dinner with Mac and cheese and collard greens (I chose mild AND hot BBQ sauce). I grab my drink and sit down on the curb to wait. She calls me up to the counter to get my food and I'm stoked! As soon as I got in my car, I caught a whiff of the deliciousness so you know I had to grab a quick bite to see what I was working with..... I wish you could have heard me and seen my face.
