I have always been a big fan of Brueggers, especially this location because it always feels like such a community here. John is always there to greet me with a smile and a story and it honestly makes my day. There's been a couple slip ups with my order but they are always quick to fix it. It can get super busy so I understand the mistakes. Also, for 4.79, the cold brew is HUGE and delicious. Man, I live close to this place and was excited to make it a regular stop for breakfast but they did me dirty today when they gave me this pathetic looking sandwich with next to NO meat on it. I get that food doesn't look like the photo most of the time but this is bad. I could only taste the tomato sauce and that's about it. My husband's sandwich was loaded up, so I feel a little salty. I haven't been to Brueggers in quite a while, since I have been traveling most of the summer. Went to my nearby shop to buy my usual dozen, and I found out that they now consider most bagels to be "signature". I bought 3 blueberry, 3 raisin, 3 asiago, 3 rosemary and 1 sesame. 9 of these were considered to be "signature", including the blueberry. Also, the asiago seems to be having much less cheese. I get that there are financial pressures in this economy, but it seems to me that IIMPROVING product quality is the right approach, not shrinking the product and penny pinching . read more

Bruegger's Bagels was my favorite little bagel shop growing up! Nothing like a bagel with cream cheese, a turkey sandwich bagel, and coffee. I recently was in town visiting family and of course had to make stop here. Their bagels are the best! Truly always fresh, and delicious! If you want one they ran out of, they will make you one. My favorites are the cinnamon raison both plain and with peanut butter, their asiago with plain cream cheese, and their everything bagel! I did make another stop for lunch and wasn't quite as impressed. I wish I would have went with my classic turkey, tomato, lettuce, onion, and mayo on a bagel, but instead, I went with one of their menu choices, and wasn't too impressed with the taste mixed with the price and no side. I believe their prices have increased at this shop, and granted there are not many other sandwich options around the area, I do think it would be nice if a side came with the sandwich. Next time, I would choose the half sandwich, half soup, just to mix it up. Their coffee is always nice and fresh, and their staff is very kind and efficient! read more

this rating isn't for the food, which is always good, but for the customer service. The guy/owner/manager was very rude this morning. He was yelling at his employees and as I was waiting to tell him about another bagel I wanted, he rudely looks at me and says, "anything else?" Yeah, maybe if you weren't yelling at your employees and didn't look pissed off and paid attention to the customer in front of you (me). He's been there for years, and I can totally understand why there is such high turnover there. I never see the same employees when I go there. For sure they leave because of him. Brueggers Bagels on Mt Vernon Rd consistently bakes the best bagels in town. They are the closest in taste to real New York/New Jersey style bagels if not the genuine malt and fermented dough taste of a really good bagel. If you are used to Montreal bagels, you will not find that variant anywhere near this city. If you are the mood to try Brueggers be sure to visit this location and not the one near Lindale Mall which consistently makes an inferior bagel. As in most places recently, the price of bagels have inexplicably skyrocketed but Brueggers remains slightly less expensive than the others. Recommended. read more

As a guy who barley even bagels I feel safe to say that the food here looks pretty good. When I got in the place looked like any other bagel spot, but then I saw a the big picture of the popular menu item. The chicken and tater sandwich bagel. Before I go further I you should know that there's a breakfast and lunch variant of this yum yum bread ring. I ordered the lunch chicken and tater, and the best part was the chicken was freshly heated. I'm not sure if I lucked out or if that's how the bagel boys do, but that is bonus points for this place. The food came pretty quickly which was good, but let's get to business about this bagel. There was onions and lettuce that added good texture with every bite. The cheesy hash brown bun wasn't too cheesy but still had great taste and a good crisp crunch with the little hash browns on top of the bagel. I definitely recommend this bagel and bagel shop. I cannot wait to get back and explore their potatoes, soups, and wide selection of other bagels. So uhhh yeah tell your friends about Bruegger's Bagels because this place is a solid bagel place. read more

The food was decent, and staff was nice enough, but this place is a dump. Tables at the booths are never clean, the booths have tears in their seats, the chairs are worn out, and outlet covers are missing. The paint has been peeling off the outside of the building for as long as I can remember. I only hope the kitchen isn't falling apart as much as the rest of the building. The place stays busy enough, so it irritates me that they seem to be making money but don't care enough about their customers to keep their building cleaned and maintained. You walk into the place Bagel advertisements for certain bagels in your face at 8:30 AM in the morning and they're out. Definitely worth the drive to go to this brueggers vs. The one on 1st ave. Better service, more helpful and friendly staff. One of the staff saw I was getting a bunch of customized orders and didn't charge me for things I didn't have on there for the sandwiches on their menu. The other Brueggers didn't take the time to do that. The hot cocoa is a bit too watery, but the main attraction is the bagels anyway. Bigger, fresher bagels than 1st Ave location and more substantial sandwiches than 1st Ave for same sandwich. They do not skimp on the meat or veggies. read more

I have been here multiple times and their lack of consistency is amazing. The attention to detail is pathetic. I ordered a SALT bagel the other day, check out the picture...that is what they gave me. I have no idea how anyone would miss that, they had to completely ignore that while they were cutting it and spreading the cream cheese. If I ordered a SALT bagel, odds are I was looking for some salt. What I got was a bagel without salt .... i.e. a PLAIN BAGEL. I have been to Bruegger's many times before and never had any problem but this day I went in and the man behind the counter was arguing with a co-worker. Helena ask me what I wanted and sort of a rude way he must have been still upset from his argument and I said I wanted a egg and cheese on an Asiago with a slice of onion he repeated back to me in a rude manner egg and cheese bacon cheese egg and cheese. We have been there many times before and never had any problem getting a slice of onion on our egg and cheese Bagels for some reason this was not the case and on this day he was extremely rude and threatening in his manner. To sum this up we will not be back to this Bruegger's. My wife got bagels at Target and we made our own egg and cheese Bagels this morning with a slice of onion no problem and better than the one from Bruegger's at half the cost. It is sad that one employee can ruin a business but we will definitely not be back. read more
