When I pull up, I get out and get the big brush on a stick and scrub my grille and other parts of the car that may have excessive dirt. Then I head for the wash. There is always a helpful employee near the machine where you pay. Last time the machine wouldn't take my dollar so the nice lady used a card to get me through. Just before being directed into the wash, there is someone to scrub the rear of your vehicle to make sure it gets extra clean. Once inside the wash, there are suds galore!! I've been so some of these gas station car washes and I was lucky if I got any soap at all. Here at Pelican Pointe the suds are everywhere. They are pink, yellow, blue. I'm not sure if the suds are colored or if it's just the lights but either way it's like a foam party. My kids love it. There are signs in the wash to let you know exactly what is happening such as Tire Shine and things like that. At the end the blower dries your car and you roll out and around to the vacuums. I always bring my kids to assist with the vacuuming while I sit there and give orders. For $1.00 you can get your mats cleaned. It's probably more like $2 because if you have 4 mats you need two cycles. But they certainly do get clean. Once, I spilled syrup on the mat and it took a couple of days before I could get to Pelican Pointe. By the time I got there, the syrup had dried on the carpeted floor mat. No worries, the mat cleaner took it right off. Impressive, right?! There are also other things for sale such as air fresheners, towels, dashboard and window cleaners, etc. In all, the process takes me less than 20 minutes. As long as Pelican Pointe Car Wash is around, I'll take my car there.
