I'm a recent transplant from Southern California to New Orleans and I'm a car guy. When I moved out here to New Orleans, I sold the sporty coupe that would have been destroyed by the lousy streets here, but I kept the '99 Ford Ranger pickup that I bought new, 24 years and 341,000 miles ago. I would take the truck to NOLA with me. California cars are prized because they're generally in good shape, and my truck is no exception. Since new, it has not been through a mechanical carwash. Its always been handwashed and professionally detailed 2x a year. Aside from the last couple of years, it's been in covered parking. The truck is black with chrome wheels and trim - it cleans up beautifully. But the last 12-15 months it hadn't been detailed at all. California was inundated with rain and the truck was outdoors. John V., owner, is prompt, but having to have your car available for two additional corrective applications is hardly the outcome a customer desires when using a "luxury convenience service". As I implied in an earlier post still waiting to see, s/p rain etc., if this "fix" actually remedies the problem. UPDATE. The recent, second corrective, application of plastics conditioner has improved the overall effects of the mistakenly applied initial product. Our neighbors were digging a swimming pool, and when they went to Gunite, the pool, the dust (cement dust) blew over our automobiles. I typically do not post negative reviews as life happens and people get busy. Situation: There was lack of communication from this company. Background: In normal instances I usually wash my own vehicle but as life stated above life gets busy. I initially started by starting to communicate with executive detailing through Yelp and then subsequently text message. Communication started off strong but then after selecting a detailing package and date there was no response. The following day I sent a message asking to confirm, and no response. A week later and there still has not been communication from this company. Assessment/recommendation: The company needs to focus on resources to ensure consistent customer care. Had an appointment to get two cars detailed. After the first car was finished at around 1:30PM, we were told that he had lower amounts of cleaning supplies and materials on hand than he had expected. He asked if we minded if he ran to fill up his cleaning materials and grab lunch before starting the next car. We agreed and he left. We waited a while then a little before 3:30 PM, I finally reached out via text to him asking what his ETA was and if he could give us an update. Soon after, he texted back apologizing about not having as much cleaning supplies as he expected and that he wasn't expecting to have to leave mid-job and refill. I was trying to be understanding and sent him back a message saying it was cool and was wondering if he was on his was back or still filling up. The message was marked as read at around 3:30, but no response was ever received. At this point we had canceled our Saturday plans with friends because we were still waiting for him to come back after. I again texted asking for an ETA at around 4 PM. No response. Tried calling. No answer. A bit after 7 PM I texted him again asking what the deal was. He texted back this time around apologizing saying that my appointment overlapped his 3PM appointment and the schedule was all out of sync because of his unanticipated refill of the cleaning materials and asked when he should come back over to finish the other car. I said not to worry about it that we would just go with another auto detailer at this point. He told me that it was all a misunderstanding on my end and that he had told me that he had an appointment at 3PM. So because he didn't check and see if he had enough cleaning supplies on hand before heading out to work for the day, he stops my job half way through and moves on to the next job after filling up his cleaning materials? Also, I don't understand why he didn't let me know he would not be able to come back out to me when he was texting me at 3:30 if he already knew that he had this other job that he was going to go off and do. If I hadn't texted him after 7PM, when did he plan on getting in touch with me? Ever? Very unprofessional all around with the communication and situation and with plenty other auto detailing services out there I see no need to repeat business here. EDIT: Raised from 1 to 2 stars as the car he did get to did come out looking great and the work was very well priced. Both the inside and outside were cleaned and both looked great. The inside leather was cleaned and treated to almost new condition and the exterior was cleaned and buffed with wax coat that looked great as well. Still pretty disappointed in the lack of communication after he left. It may not have been his fault that the previous detail workers didn't refill the cleaning solution and materials after the previous days work, but the communication and handling of the situation could have been handled much better. Instead of leaving me in the wind waiting with a job half done and just moving on to his 3PM appointment, why not get in touch with that next appointment and let them know that there were unforeseen circumstances that caused him to run late rather than just leave a previously started job half finished? Again, the car he did detail came out looking really nice and was priced very well but with how this was handled I will look elsewhere in the future. read more

My daughter had a spill in her car and her husband couldn't get it out and it was making her feel bad smelling it even after he had cleaned it. John said he could come out IMMEDIATELY! He said they could go to her work and take care of it if she wanted them to! WOW! What customer service. The weather was too bad and the parking lot at my daughter's office is not really conducive to interior car cleaning so they are coming out first thing in the morning. I got the $150 wash wax, undercarriage, all panels cleaned etc. They didn't vacuum under the booster seat, there was a dead bee under the floor mat, dirty wheel wells, dirt I could wipe off with my hand, under side of bumper visibly dirty. They said they would return and fix. I am waiting for response on when. If you think about hiring these guys, go to the $10 car wash place, get a $10 car wash and then vacuum and wipe your car yourself and you'll get a better result. I am not even sure they waxed because I can see marks from the original wax my husband did 9 months ago. update: They texted and say they will come back and fix. If that happens, I'll edit the post again and update the review Second update: They did return as soon as they could to fix, and apologized for the inconvenience. They went at it with their sprays etc. again. However, They said things like "Those carpets are hard to vacuum" etc. They seemed to try, but just now (after their second most expensive package and a return to try to fix), I myself, cleaned a bunch of dirt off with only a damp cloth -- I guess this is stuff that "they couldn't seem to get clean with all their chemicals etc.?" I wiped down kid footprints with only a damp cloth (water and cloth, that's it), and I also wiped some visible dirt from the bottom of the doors. I appreciate them trying again, but I really don't think it was worth it. I know it's a yucky job, cleaning other peoples cars, dirt, wrappers and receipts and kid footprints, but if that's the job you advertise you do, the service for which you're paid -- I feel like you should do it. This company did an amazing job of restoring a 4 year old Camry to like new condition! One of my kids had this car in Baton Rouge for three years and I don't think it was ever cleaned! The upholstery had very bad stains. After one of the seats not coming completely clean John insisted on bringing a stronger machine over a few days later.
