Purchased buy one get one free car wash, on expiration day (14th day) I arrived at Earhart location before noon and was car wash was closed for maintenance. I had future engagements and wasn't able to return that day. Next day I called and explained my situation and requested courtesy wash and was denied and told I should have come back later in the evening and there's nothing they could do. UPDATE... Received email to rectify this matter. An employee at the Earhart location just contacted me with a coupon code that I utilized. I am very satisfied with this resolution. read more

If I could leave ZERO stars, I would. Due to the rudness of the powertripping staff, I canceled my monthly service after a year+ of poor service. The 'manager' pulled out his phone, typed my information into it, and assured me it would be canceled. he did at least apologize for his employee. I went home and wrote a follow-up email to reinforce that I would no longer subject myself to the rudeness of their staff and to reiterate my cancellation order. I then followed uo a day later with a phone call. No one has ever returned my phone call or email. EVER!! The charges continue to appear on my credit card statement 2 months later!!!! Many thanks to my non-Yelping neighbors Ty & Carrie for turning me on to Rich's Wash Dat. They predominantly use the Kenner location, but occasionally use the Earhart location and their vehicles always look so good. I have been getting our 2 vehicles washed here for approximately 1 year and have been nothing but satisfied. This car wash is very well maintained, as the building, equipment, landscaping and vacuum area are all neat and tidy looking. The car wash is very effective in that it uses a lot of water and a lot of soap for each wash. In fact, they use so much soap that you cannot even see out of your windows or windshield while the wash is in progress. Kudos to using a lot of water for the rinse cycle too, as there is nothing worse than exiting a car wash and your vehicle is still full of soap. The rinse even gets all the soap out of the side view mirrors. Once you exit the car wash, there are numerous vacuum stations, many of which have an overhead tarp to keep the sun at bay. The vacuums are free and there is no time limit. Furthermore, they work very well as they have a lot of suction power. The ceramic $20.00 wash is all I usually get, as it is definitely their top of the line wash. Here's a little secret: On Monday's, it's buy one wash and get one free. And on Thursday's, the Ceramic car wash is half price. The staff here is always super friendly and polite. Best automated car wash I've used in over a decade. read more

Went today to take advantage of BOGO MONDAYS. When I got to the machine to pay I see the ceramic wash is now $25. The attendant was at the next machine. Rolled down window to ask if ceramic is now $25? He said yes. I said "doesn't the sign right outside the wash say it's $20?" (I truly thought it did so I wanted to ask him for clarification. He said "it's $25". I said but doesn't that sign say it's $20 still? He said "it's wrong!" I said "well you are advertising that it's $20" he said "I'm not advertising anything". I said "your company is then." He said "sir it's $25." I said can I speak to a manager please?" He said "man are you really gonna make me do all that?" I said "yes! I asked you if they sign at the entrance said $20 still and you wouldn't even go look" he said "how bout I just let you out?" I said "no I want a carwash I just want to know what that sign says." He got another guy at the other machine to try and talk to me and again I said "I jsut want to know what that sign says... you know what? I'll just look myself" so I get out and I look and it does say ceramic washes are $25. So I said "ok it says it's $25. Im wrong. When I drove in I thought it said it was $20 still" and he says "I TOLD YOU!!" And I then said "let me out of here your attitude and your unwillingness to help has pissed me off" he said "man I've been here since 6:30, I'm tired!" I said "so am I! I've been at work since 5am!" He said "we don't need your money anyways" and let me out. Now I know that I had the info wrong and I admitted to it and that's fine. I still would have paid $25 but the way this guy was acting. Like why couldn't you just double check the sign? Or just say "no sir it says $25. They changed it when the new price took effect." I went to Rich's Wash Dat today, I go every 2 weeks or so. I ordered the full $20 wash but as I went through the wash I noticed that none of the extras, like ceramic wash were turned on. I paid $20 so I asked the assistant manager to credit my card because I only got the $5.00 wash. First he gave me a scrap of paper for a free wash in the future but then came and took it back because he said he had a better way to handle the refund. He then gave me a packet of a wheel shine product and said that should make us even... it does not. I threw it into the trash before I left the place. I will contest this charge through my credit card and I WILL NEVER EVER PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS AGAIN. There are many car washes near me so my cars will be still get washed, but elsewhere. read more

This place is horrible! I was called homosexual slurs by an employee of this location! Reported the incident and management didn't do anything about it! Find out weeks later they moved the employee to another location! This place would never see a dollar of my money and I highly recommend not to support this business! I really appreciate the ease and efficiency of Rich's wash dat. But Damien took it to new heights today! I was here yesterday washing my car and forgot a mat on the sidewalk. I came back today to get it and he not only showed me what dumpster it was probably in, but dug in it for ten minutes and then jumped in himself to retrieve it! I DO NOT RECOMMEND! Not sure what happened to this business in the last month or two. Has there been a change of management? It is now so terrible. Wash is now incomplete. My two recent experiences left me aghast! First, the rude female employe in her early to mid 30's. She refused to assist me while I struggled swiping my CC. She gave a smirk and walked away. She was assigned to that post to help and assist customers driving up to pay. My experiences in the past would have the person help swipe or tap the credit card with a smile. Second, the wash seemed shorter this time. Some vacuums aren't working. Left the business with my car looking unwashed and with visible streaks on glasses and body. I went back last week gave it another chance. Male employee at the pay station was very nice. Took my CC to assist swiping it. BUT at the car wash station, this same lady was too busy on her phone to assist me with hand signals like they usually do when driving up the conveyor belt. She banged my back window with such force, I thought she'd break it, screamed at me to stop. Wow! Talk about a very aggressive and rude behavior. And again the wash was cut short. I'm a lazy car washer, not gonna lie. I don't wanna get almost as wet as my car doing it myself, and the gas station car washes just aren't great. So I was elated to find Rich's five minutes from home. Pull onto the conveyer belt, put it in neutral, and come out clean at the other end. The dry cycle could be a little more thorough, but at least they give you a cloth to buff it down when you're through. They have a lot of good, powerful vacuum stations, too, but last Saturday they were all full. The unlimited package (around $40 a month, I think) is more than I'll use, but for the those of you who are obsessed with a clean car, it's probably worth it. read more

Under no circumstances should you use this automatic car wash!! While my car was in neutral on the conveyer belt, it crashed me into the car in front of me. Manager was completely unhelpful, and I am now having to engage a lawyer to take them to court to pay for damages. It is not worth it!! You are completely at the mercy of their machine to "drive" for you but they still hold you responsible. If you read these reviews, there are lots and lots of examples of peoples cArs getting damaged and richs not being helpful at all in resolving. Buyer beware in a huge way. As I was leaving City Hall on Saturday morning, I discovered this brand new car wash on Earhart. So new that they were offering all washes for $2. All the bells and whistles (normally $14) for that price? Yes please. The wash did a great job on my car. And liked the blinking lights and multicolored swirls for foam that poured over my car...very rave like. And the vacuum section was good and spacious and the brand new vacuums have major suckage...so much so that one tried to eat my sweater. They don't offer a vending machine to purchase a shammy or other cleaning supplies which I've noticed at other car washes. And there was no floor mat machine. I'm not sure if this is because they are so new or they don't plan to get those. The space was super clean and the staff was really nice. They do offer unlimited washes for $10 per month which is a really great deal if you're organized. Will definitely stop back in. read more

While visiting the car wash on 12/4/23, my car was damaged while receiving a basic wash. A team member directed me to pull in the car wash and place the car in neutral. When I asked the team member if I was in the correct position, she shook her head yes. While in the car wash, I heard loud banging noises but couldn't identify where the noise was coming from. After proceeding to the vacuum area, a customer informed me that my wheel well trim was hanging off and that it got pulled off during the wash. I completed an incident report requesting that the damage incurred while at Wash Dat be fixed appropriately. A member from Rich's Was Dat management returned my call stating that they would not fix the car or pay for repairs since my vehicle is a 2016. He then lied and tried to say the wheel well was already coming off. Please beware and do not bring your vehicle to any Rich's. I went to Rich's wash dat on July 31st 2020 at 1pm and got the worst service ever. I have a big black truck with a roof rack and before I went through I asked the lady of it would go through the tunnel and she said yes. When I entered the tunnel it did NOT go through and it broke my rack. I went to the managers office and was laughed at and told that he didn't care. He was very rude and said it wasn't his responsibility. So unprofessional, I would have never imagined such horrible service. Please please pay attention before going through this car wash. It's was the worst service I have ever seen. They started to take pictures of my car and didn't inform me why, they laughed and didn't care this happened to my car. My friend introduced me to Rich's before I moved to NOLA. There was nothing comparable in Baltimore from where I eventually moved. I use only the Earhart location, but the staff is friendly and helpful. The first time I went, I'd just moved here and had driven thousands of miles through bugs and any number of things. I paid and went through the line, and the attendant at the entrance of the car wash said, "You're not going to get that bug juice off your car, going through here. You need to go back out and use the scrub brushes at the entrance, and then go through the wash." They helped me get out of line and back to the entrance to scrub my car. And they kept up with me so I didn't have to pay again. I now have the monthly membership, and it's worth it. I go once or twice a week because of the dust created by the Mid City street improvements. read more

The older I get the more I find chores to be calming. There is just something about detailing your own car on an early Saturday morning. You begin with a very relaxing drive through technicolor soap suds that are washed off by what sounds like high speed water jets. The drying arm has an even more forceful air stream that sends every bead of water rolling off the car. Then comes the workout. You get to find a spot between two vacuums and take car of the inside on your own. Did I mention the most expensive wash is only $12? Now to the most important part, yes Rick actually works there. When you see him you'll know him. He's always there. Always. His so energetic and always greets you with a smile. His employees are equally great at making you feel welcomed. They offer amazing cleaning services or just the basics that still exceed my expectations on what a basic clean would be composed of. They provide a small towel to wipe off any left over water to avoid water marks and the vacuums are extremely strong and pick up the tiniest pieces of dirt. Rut row, Soft Touch, i think y'all have just lost me because I've found a new crush. I've passed this place up for weeks without having or needing a reason to. I wish I gave them a try sooner. It's much closer to my house than S.T., far better vaccums, and a wash cycle that is a lot more entertaining than any other car wash I've been to. Don't expect to be wow'd tho, it's just some fun placement of L.E.D. lights that looks pretty cool. I also noticed I get the same, if not better wash as the other car wash I frequent. I was a little confused when pulling in at first. I'm accustomed to vaccums first, then wash but it's the opposite here. This was the only car wash open Christmas Eve, and they had a buy one get one special going. I was in a rush so I didn't stick around to find out about all the deals they have. I have read about the membership deals tho, $10 a month for unlimited (?) basic washes, not bad. I'll be sure to get all the facts on my next visit. The vaccums are insanely powerful, they'll pick up shit you didn't know was in there. I heard something ka'klunk in the tube when I vacuumed under my seat and was like, 'welp, whatever that was is gone'. I actually live closer to a car wash that is close to Sam's that has a bunch of young workers who think they are 'too cool' to work there and are quite snobby. NOT at Rich's! Love the employees. But I learned the hard way ((after driving 9 hours back from Austin (Hey the insurance in Texas is 1/3 the price in Louisiana) on treacherous I-10)) that besides awful gas mileage, the brown dirt and white construction powder turned my vehicle into a mound of striated Tibetan quartz. A CARNIVAL RIDE! Rich's is a self service, pay-and-go, sit-in-your-car and get on the conveyor old-school palooza. I mean come on, even the most dour become kids again when the stampeding bristle machines buff the doors with that cotton candy sized foamy soap. And then there's those deafening whirring noises, and flashing strobe lights...and you can't escape because you are locked in. $10 read more

As I have used this facility various times to get a quick car wash / the works in detail, I'll say it's my favorite in New Orleans. And, it has awesome deals. First off, the vacuums are super powerful and readily available on both sides. Secondly, the deals are really great (I get the BOGO on Monday -- and give the free one to my spouse or a friend-- FYI must use within 14 days). Third, the staff is always super helpful and on top of it with taping back wiper/ assisting with payment/ directing steering properly and always just really nice. During my recent visit (March 2021), staff member Kimble (please excuse me if my spelling is incorrect), exceeded my expectations by greeting me with a towel for post was, help with payment, assisting me with cleaning my car beforehand, and, really just a genuine warm smile and welcome. Great drive thru car wash close to my job. They provide many options at various price points which are appealing to me, you can pay with cash or card, and the free vacuum area is awesome (never broken vacuums or low suction). The wash itself is seamless and nice with pretty multicolor suds. At the free vacuum area, there's two types of vacuum handles to reach every space in your car and the mini duster gun is great for getting tight spots such as the dashboard and gear shift.
