I use it often and trust the real feedback from people in the area. So to all my fellow yelpers, let me tell you, if you are looking for an honest mechanic who treats your car like his own, look no further! I moved to Woodlawn and was looking for a mechanic to take care of my car. An old man told me he is going to send me to a mechanic and he is so good, I will be going to him 20 years from now. Well, I went to Charlie on this man's recommendation and I have been with him close to 30 years! Everyone searches for a great doctor well this man is like finding a great doctor for your car! Since the first time I walked through his shop, I knew I was in good hands and I wouldn't go to any other mechanic in the area other than Charlie and his crew! The customer service and warm welcome you receive is second to none. He is honest and only does what is necessary for the car and nothing more! He will tell you what car to buy to keep costs down with regard to repair and just a fantastic man. There's not many people who ooh and ah over there mechanic, but I do! I have sent dozens of my friends and family to him down through the years and they all swear by him and send their friends and family! Charlie builds race cars and also teaches mechanics and this man knows what he's talking about! There you have it! there is my genuine honest review and If you heed my advice, I know you will thank me for sending you there as everyone else has!!

Everything was fine but a few months later my Check Engine light came on. I got it checked in October 2024 while doing my inspection and they said it was due to the faulty O2 sensor and to bring it back to J&R since it should still be under warranty. J&R checked it and said it was fine, blamed it on another issue. January 2025, the check engine light is back on again. A second shop said it was the faulty O2 sensor and they switched it out. My car sounds better and the light is finally off. I go to J&R hoping they'd make it right. They said the part was indeed damaged but they can only guarantee a 6 month warranty. The 2 other shops both had a 1 year warranty. I thankfully have no issue with the CC but them not taking responsibility for the faulty part won't have me returning to this shop.
