This review is towards the staff, not the Doctor! The staff is very rude and absolutely unprofessional! They supposed to be open until 5:00 PM. I called at 4:30PM to ask a simple question and follow up on a request. I got put on hold for 5 Minutes and was transferred to some guys voicemail right away. I hang up and as soon as I called back, their after hour message was on. Some people just like to make it so difficult for others. I went to dr Moskowitz about 6 weeks ago ,for a consultation regarding my eye lids . He was very knowledgable and explained to me my multiple options showing me photos of patients who had these different procedures done . I told him I would need some time to make the decision which was fine . Called back a week later and scheduled surgery for 2 was later ... Unfortunately my insurance company denied the claim at the last minute and surgery had to be cancelled Dr Moscowitz filed the appeal with my insurance company and dealt with the their Doctor in a 1 on 1 phone meeting ... One week later surgery approved . 5 days later he is performing it... I am now 1 wk post op and all I can say is ...thanks doc , great job every step of the way ... read more

I did not even see the doctor. Like what previous reviews said, his female receptionist is horrible and unprofessional and this review is towards her. Mind you that I called twice a month ago about my situation and whether the doctor takes my insurance. His receptionist never said that he doesn't accept my insurance when I specifically asked. When I was filling out the forms on the day of my appointment was when I was informed that the doctor doesn't take my insurance. This is absolutely unacceptable!! The receptionist didn't seem fazed at all that she wasted somebody's time. Did she expect people to just pay whatever the fees are even if they can't afford it? While I was filling out the forms, she was saying rude comments about a patient to her coworker in the waiting area. This is very unprofessional behavior. Although I didn't have any conversation with the doctor and reviews seem to say that he's a good doctor, it's tragic that he has a dishonest and rude receptionist. She deserves no star!!! read more

I've been a patient of Dr Moskowitz for over 15yrs and I can't say enough about him, his knowledge, mannerisms and professionalism. I suffer from Graves' disease and have had to had various surgeries because of it. While I was content with the first doctor that treated me when I was first diagnosed I wish I would have known about Dr Moskowitz then. Actually my prior dr referred me to him when I moved closer to the city. He has performed 2 surgeries on my eyes thereafter and the results are pretty amazing considering where I was. I have always been very vain so imagine your look changing because your eyeballs are protruding... not pleasant. Your eyes are exposed to sun and wind and the tendency is to tear excessively. Well after many years I returned to him and we decided to cauterize the tear ducts which has helped a great deal. Dr Moskowitz has always been very honest and only put reasonable options on the table for me. He's guided me through the process in a way that I have felt extremely comfortable. I can't thank him enough for being on this journey with me and helping me remain confident in myself/look. I strongly recommend him. His office staff and Mel are a pleasure to work with. Dr. Moskowitz and his staff are amazing. Christine, his assistant, does an amazing job managing the office. One patient asked for water and she bought the patient a bottle of water despite the lack of a water fountain in the office. They are extremely professional and went beyond. I came to see for myself. I had a ptosis done w/ Dr. Moskowitz and the results were phenomenal. My post-op meds were ready for me at my pharmacy. The medical billing and the scheduling of the surgery went very smoothly. Dr. Moskowitz is a totally straightforward person and won't sell you on any gimmicks. Please do NOT get side-tracked by the negative reviews by the few disgruntled patients who always like to make a big deal minor issues such as waiting 20 minutes. Bring a book or your laptop! There's free wifi :) ! People these days feel entitled and I'm really sorry that Dr. Moskowitz and his staff have to endure some of these negative reviews. Some patients are just too sensitive and expect a physician to cure all of their problems through a magic pill. He has a sarcastic sense of humor and some patients just need to lighten up. This is not a review of the doctor who I did not get to see, but any doctor who lets his Nazi receptionist control his office is not for me. When I got to the office for my appointment I was unable to check in. The receptionist told me that she was dealing with an emergency and she will be with me shortly. 45 minutes later I was still waiting to check in. I hate to tell her, but she is a receptionist; the doctor and other health care professionals in his office may be dealing with an emergency but she is just on the phone. The office had over 20 people in it when I came in for one single doctor and this did not change during my wait time. It was a zoo. There was a little boy standing on a coach swinging a huge closed umbrella. When I told his parents to take it from him, Ms. Emergency found the time to tell me he just had surgery. I guess logic is not one of her strong suits. I should cancelled the appointment before I got there since three different times when I called the office to check on the status of my referral, I was told she did not get it. I know my internist's staff and if they tell me they faxed it three times (and I confirmed the fax number) it was sent three times. Maybe the lesson is not to go to a doctor for a medical condition when he also does plastic surgery. I will never be back for anything. read more

I recently started seeing Dr. Moskowitz after an attack that broke most of the bones in my right eye. He is very smart and I would not hesitate to send my family and friends to use him. He may be talkative but allows you to end the consultation when you have all the information you need; he is a good listener. Unlike most doctors who do not like questions, he takes all your questions and gives erudite and insightful answers. I also found his staff excellent, polite and professional. Some may consider him arrogant but perhaps that is confusing the fact that he is confident and busy. Run away. This is a big city and you can do much better if you need a cosmetic ophthalmologist. Many negative stereotypes apply to my own experience - arrogant, horrible "bed-side manner", doesn't take time to explain, interrupts you, thinks you know what you are about to say before you've finished saying it. Long wait in the office. Over 1 hour. After we cancelled a surgery with him, did not warn to see me second time. First thing he said that he was not an eye doctor. But meanwhile his assistant performed an eye test with drops. Was upset that I went to see another doctor. He was very rude, nervous and obnoxious . Extremely unprofessional .
