Jeanel is my go to but I know Lynda and Lynette are great, too! I love that I can just text to schedule and that they cater to any request that I have. Judging by how full their schedules are and the fact that is was a tiny bit hard to find a mutually available time for an appointment, I can only assume they have a slew of very happy clients who just happen to have not posted their glowing reviews - yet. We Wax is a full-service spa (don't let the name fool you) offering everything from waxing services to facials to eyelash extensions. I went in thinking I "needed" a very expensive eyelash service (what? I'm from Texas, a girl NEEDS pretty lashes, right??) only to sit down with my technician and discover there was a very comparable service at a fraction of the price. In the end, I was much happier with this service than ones I've paid much more for and am so thankful she was willing to bite the bullet that I wound up booking even more services in the future. Linda is as sweet as she is good at her job and more interested in a happy client than gouging your wallet that I am more than willing to try her out for other services. Her expertise in eyebrow waxing can't be matched and if you don't take my word for it you can trust that nearly all of her coworkers are also her clients. That says a whole heck of a lot. The salon is adorable and super clean. The staff is so friendly that I may or may not have named a few of them my new best friends, and my service was so exceptional that there's a chance I proposed to Linda because well, who wouldn't want to marry a sweet girl who can fix your waxing woes? The service is always good, and my brows come out looking clean and well-shaped without having to go far. Definitely make an appointment if you can! In the midst of getting my eyebrows done, a lot of people started to walk in and I feel like the tech started out good but rushed at the end. She left my eyebrows uneven, I didn't fully notice until I got in my car, and also left some random hairs that I had to tweeze when I got home. After she waxed, she threaded the rest, but I feel like that didn't really give her the precision needed to leave my eyebrows clean. I paid $20 for an eyebrow wax which I would've been fine with if my eyebrows were perfect and a symmetrical and I didn't have to do anything when I left but I've paid $12 for an eyebrow wax that was much cleaner. The facility was clean, the service was quick, but this will not be a place that I come back to.

I have been a lifelong eyebrow threading customer and because of my constant travels, I have…read moreliterally tried dozens of eyebrow threaders to know that they are divided into 3 main categories: (1) amazing ones who deliver consistently good service. These threaders could be fast or slow but they are very good at what they do. The shape always ends up being as good as you could have imagined or even better and they don't tear out your skin to get you the results. 2) are those threaders who appear to know what they are doing and may even do a painless job but the shape leaves you wanting more. They just do a good cleanup but in no way do they try to reshape the brows to achieve the "wow" factor. And finally 3) those are the ones you never ever want to see again. They not only mess up your brows but do so while either causing you pain and/or tearing your skin in the process. I have encountered very few people who fit into #1 and thanks to yelp have also been able to avoid a lot of encounters with #3's as well. Paru I would say falls into the middle of 1 and 2. She is very fast and she does a very painless job. For most of the time, she does deliver a good shape but from others I have tried, I know that the "wow" factor is not always there. I have left with a few pieces of hair that I notice afterwards and that's primarily because of the super fast job she is able to do. So why the 5*'s? In San Antonio, she had so far been my best choice. She is incredibly fast. She has never made me bleed or caused pain. For the most part she did try to work on the shape during the session and she is quite accommodating. If you've never tried threading before, she is definitely a good choice to start with.
