Sonny does a great mani and pedi. The salon itself is very clean, well lit and can take large groups. Thank you!

I really wanted to like this place. Despite reading mostly negative reviews, I decided to give it a…read morefair chance. When my daughter and I arrived at 1 p.m. on a Sunday, we were the only customers there. The male owner did most of my pedicure. His massage was good, the callus removal was fine, and the cuticle work was good. The female owner took over at the end, but her polish application for the pedicure was mediocre. The female owner also did my acrylic fill, and that polish application was terrible. Looking at my nails now, the polish is bumpy and excessively thick. It's peeling off the sides because she applied too many coats, despite me specifically asking her not to. Between my gel pedicure and acrylic fill, I was there for over three hours. I suspected one of the UV lamps wasn't working properly, and shortly after leaving, I noticed my nail polish was peeling off. I returned, and their first attempt to resolve it was simply to put my hand back under the lamp. Then she tried to fix only two nails. I had to firmly explain that this was unacceptable and that, after paying $60 for the fill, I expected all the polish to be removed and redone. I asked for regular polish because I no longer trusted the gel lamps, but they insisted on using gel. They gave me the same lamp I believed wasn't working, and I had to ask for another one. The male owner then blamed the problem on me supposedly taking my hands out of the lamp to use my phone. That did not happen. I have been getting my nails done for years, and I keep my hands under the lamp while the polish cures. Being blamed instead of having the problem properly addressed was incredibly frustrating. To the female owner's credit, she repeatedly apologized. However, I should not have had to become stern to get more than a quick patch job--and even after the polish was redone, it is bumpy, too thick, and peeling again now that I'm home. I don't understand why a business that appeared to be struggling to attract customers wouldn't take the time to ensure customer satisfaction, especially when I returned with gel polish visibly peeling off my nails. After this experience, I can understand why the salon was empty and why it has so many poor reviews. I don't think salon owners always realize how hard people work for their money. I spent $191 on services for my daughter and me, plus a $40 tip. At that price, I expect exceptional work and attentive service. I'm not rich--I'm a hardworking teacher, and spending that money only to need my nails corrected somewhere else is incredibly disappointing. I feel that I wasted both my time and money. I expect to go somewhere else this week to have my nails corrected, and I will not be returning.
