Update 11/11: Wasn't even going to reply since my mom just died and I have way more important things to deal with but since the owner commented EIGHT separate times to this TODAY and I keep getting email after email about her commenting on this: I was going to send her the screenshot of me inquiring about the touch up in July but she blocked me. At this point it's a moot point anyway so drop it. 10/28: I booked with Chae Magnifique in September 2019- paid in full at the time of booking- and the owner cancelled my appointment hours before I was supposed to have it. She only offers appointments during the week but I had taken time off of work for the appointment. However, I understand that emergency situations happen, BUT if you look at some other reviews, I see that she didn't extend the same grace to people who had to reschedule last minute. If the tables were turned and I had cancelled on her just hours before the appointment, it wouldn't have been ok. If you're going to have expectations for your clients, it's important to have the same for yourself. I ended up rescheduling my appointment for December, then had to reschedule again for March (not last minute) because I realized I scheduled my December appointment before running a half marathon, which wouldn't have worked because you're not supposed to workout right after the procedure. When I went in in March, I could feel she wasn't happy to be there, I'm not sure if it's because I asked her to do a Saturday since I had already taken off of work for the appointment she cancelled on me last minute for or what, but she just wasn't very welcoming. I didn't get a hello or anything. Even so, she did a great job so I planned to return and refer her. After you have your appointment, you have 6 months to get a touch up for $50. Well after my appointment happened, everything shut down because of COVID. When things opened back up, I went online in July to schedule my touch up and she had no available touch up appointments until October, which would be 7 months. I wrote her about this and got no response. It's great that she's that busy, but her appointment times are veryyyyyy limited to begin with and during the middle of the week when most people have to work. And since no one could have gotten a touch up during the government-mandated shut down I would think there would be an extended grace period for touch ups. But from what I've seen from other reviews, even without the shut down, people have had similar experiences, so I don't think she's interested in doing the touch ups since they aren't as lucrative. Lastly, if you look at any of the bad reviews on here, the responses from the owner are less than kind. It's completely understandable to want to defend yourself, but as a business owner, you're going to have unhappy customers. There's no way to make EVERYONE happy. But it really doesn't look good to argue with someone who didn't have a good experience because you're kind of proving their point. I'm a business owner myself and if I have a bad review, I work with the customer to figure out what I can do to turn the experience around. The owner did a great job on my brows and they looked great at first, but unfortunately now that they're faded and couldn't get in for my touch up, and I wouldn't return. read more

When you book she gives you the impression you are going to be a in professional salon setting. However you actually are going to a Pose shop and she is renting a small cramped space by the back door. Eyebrow shape was not what I expected, but she would not correct it because "that's what the stencil is" SMH. Since the follow up appt is only $50 it is not considered a priority so you can barely get scheduled by the time frame.. which means you may to have to pay extra (I think that was the con all along). If you have somewhere else to go.. I suggest use that person. ****Post Edit: I've never seen a Vendor so "secure" about the way they conduct their business and treat their clients that such a quick comment is required. Customers are allowed to voice their opinion about the services they received. Hello everyone I want you to please be careful and make you aware when booking your appointment with anyone in the eyebrow, eyelash, lip industry as in other business to. I had a horrible experience on 10/14/21 with CHAE MAGNIFIQUE. I live in Moreno Valley, CA I drove 241 miles to my eyebrow appointment. My appointment was scheduled for 1PM at 11:38AM I received a text message that my appointment had to be cancelled and rescheduled to a different date. Prior to this appointment she had moved my appointment time due to another personal issue. I spent approximately $150 of gas round trip asides she was not understanding and cancelled my appointment and told me she will not be working with me like it was my fault of her personal issues of the day ... I will attach pictures of the text message to confirm what I am saying is true!! She does an amazing job! She lets you know what she's doing before doing so. She uses numbing cream so you don't feel a thing. She is so professional, kind and understanding. If you have any questions she will answer every single one of them. Her place of work is very clean and I was able to see when she sanitized as soon as I left. When you message her through emails or texts she will reply every single time meaning she cares about her clients. Her policies are pretty clear and understandable, you just must read through it all. I have been following Chae Magnifique on Instagram for several months now, and I finally decided to give some brows a go after I had a bad experience with another artist a few years ago. Kim is super talented and took her time measuring out my brow shape, and she listened to my concerns about my prior experience and she was able to even out my brows and make them more symmetrical which is something my previous artist didn't suggest. I just saw her in Instagram and thought she will be so professional so I took appointment for my mom with her and when I gone there with my mom on day of appointment first of all she didn't leave me to stay in that room so I said her I am here to describe you what my mom wants for her eyebrows because she can't tell you in English , but there were no customer service at all , she was not giving me a chance to tell her about my mom choice and what shape or color she wants for her eyebrows , i was feeling like I came to a pose shop . She was strictly replying to my emails about questions i had , my mom was worrying about her eyebrows because there were no pigments at all and it was looking much worse than her own natural eyebrows , she told me she can't accept us as her clients anymore because we have language barrier ( isn't that a joke ) and left her work incomplete ( we just wasted our money there ) . The color didn't settle even after 4 weeks so we had to go to other artist and she saw my mom eyebrows and told us that her eyebrows need a new complete service . Extremely disappointed. Followed her on Instagram for months and did my research thinking I found a reputable artist. Wanted Microblading brows but chose against them as it said on her website they are not for oily skin. Went with Soft Combo as it said not for VERY oily, which I don't have. In my intake paperwork I noted that I do have oily skin, moderately. At no point did she mention that Soft Combo wasn't a good choice or that I should choose a different brow type. After paying over $400 for the procedure and follow-up, my brows are uneven in that they have faded considerably at the beginning point, to the effect that it looks like smudged makeup. Seeing as it's been less than TWO months, I reached out to her in the hopes that she would do a touch-up in just that area to even out my brows. Her response was that it's because I have oily skin, even though she knew that from the beginning. She then proceeded to tell me that she could fix if I scheduled ANOTHER procedure called the Color Boost for another $150, which on her website says should be needed after 7-12 months after the initial procedure. If my brows needed this after 6 months plus, understandable. But not less than TWO months. It's obvious she has zero concern for customer satisfaction or repeat business. She's only in it for a quick $400 and a new client. I would have been a very loyal customer and gone regularly and referred her business had she not handled me the way she did. Sadly she does not value her clients and their repeat business. *edit* Wow! Didn't know we would resort to lies! You never spoke about a different brow would suit me better. Clearly I would have taken to your advice. You are supposed to be the professional and I would want the best brows possible. That is why I went to you and paid a good amount. And again you try to take some cop out about oily skin. Your website clearly states not for VERY oily skin. I don't have VERY oily. The Microblading is the only one that says not for any oily skin at all. Nor did you mention anything about it being a problem with the Soft Combo. Clearly your work didn't stand up to what it should have and your lack of attempting to correct it is just bad business practice on your part. read more

I got combo brows done with Kim and was really satisfied with the process and final results! First, I have to say that I did ALOT of research on microblading/shading procedures since afterall, it is semi-permanent work on your face which makes it hard to hide if done wrong. I also had alot of friends that have gotten their eyebrows done by other stylists in other states/countries that highly encouraged getting it done, but making sure that I did my research/shopped around for artists. Having said that, I'm glad I went with Kim! She answered all the questions I had in a fast manner and was able to give support through the healing stages as well. I've completed the initial and "perfecting session" already. Although I still have to use my brow pencil to fill in super small areas still, it takes me 2 minutes to do my brows instead of the longer amount of time it took me before! Some other thoughts: -follow the pre/aftercare directions given! Some people feel they can cut corners, but unless you've gotten this done before on your face, you never really know how your skin will heal so just do as told. -unfortunately, I went through a crazy-looking skin flaking/shedding phase in both my initial and perfecting sessions that made me feel a bit self-conscious to go out to any events I had. It lasted about 3-4 days for me for this phase, but everyone is different. -the pain during the procedure was very tolerable to me. I had about 3 to 4 passes and started to feel a bit of a burning/stinging sensation toward the last passes. Let Kim know so she can assess if you need more numbing or to push through -I know I'll most likely need a touch up in the future since I do have combo/oily skin. Read her descriptions about what technique may be best for your skin type since from what I've heard/read/experienced, it's pretty accurate. She is incredible. Very professional but friendly. The office is clean, and although it is a small it makes the experience personal and very comfortable. She wasn't annoyed with me asking 1029405 questions because well, this is my face we're talking about lol. My brows are PERFECT, exactly thee shape and color I wanted. She also plays some music and makes it enjoyable. The numbing cream she uses keeps u comfortable the whole time, almost tooo comfortable, I was worried I would falll asleep.
