When making the decision to take a microblading/micro shading course, I searched on Instagram for several weeks. I searched all over the Bay Area and was even considering taking the drive down to SoCal if I found a brow trainer I liked there. This was my first time becoming certified and I knew that I had to be 100% committed and sure of my decision before preparing to pay over $2k. I came across Carly's Instagram and reached out to her, as I did with several other brow artists. I liked her microblading/shading style as well as her content. But more than that, she responded quickly unlike many other artists I messaged. Onto the course...... I took the 2 day microblading & micro shading course. Both days started with a lecture, then practice and ended with a live model. The course was packed with lots of info and Carly goes over everything while answering all of our questions that came up. Tattoo on my nose She wasn't paying attention and ran the tattoo tool into into the bridge of my nose.You can't be sloppy with permanent make up I went in for eye liner tattoo and she tattooed my nose and told me saline would remove it and after 2 tries and 3 months it's mine to keep I have a big black dot the size of a pencil eraser on the bridge of my nose and it will be there forever The frustrating thing is that she doesn't seem to care and if I did this to someone I would check in with them and see how it's progressing and offer a solution or resolution. I was so excited to have my daughter & I get our tiny tattoos with Carly. We were happy with that service, however, Carly has no sharps containers, autoclave, consents, nor a safe body art set up as defined by California law. I will now be looking into her registration. We waited outside in the cold for her to show up & told us she had an emergency. Not only that but I had booked a brow service with Carly without being shown her non-refundable deposit clause, not signing anything and not receiving a verbal response. She sent me a text canceling her appointment with me. Which was fine. She could no longer book a Saturday. I'm in healthcare. I can't take work off on a whim, so I asked for my deposit back. She has refused to pay that back & has not paid me a $50 deposit that she took when she canceled an initial tattoo appointment, when she told me I would be paid back. Do not allow this woman to take a deposit...she will cancel, tell you that you are getting money back & not pay you back. I'll go to someone much more reputable & responsible, while I have Venmo work on getting my deposit back. As they stated they will freeze her account until she pays me back. read more

A friend recommended Carly for microblading and saw that her eyebrows were done well and she with only one session and paid $350. I had my first session done a month ago and Im scheduled for my follow up. So far I can say microblading is a wonderful idea and saves you time in the morning as long its done to your liking. I would do it again as long as I am satisfied with the work. Unfortunately I cant say Im happy with the work for a few reason. I still have a good amount of hair that grows in and mostly was looking to fill in the patches. Ive been letting my eyebrows grow where she shaved off alot of it because I plan to ask her to follow the outline of my natural shape. I felt like my eyebrows were thinned out and had very little shape and a very short tail. Another thing that I cant get past is one eyebrow is lower than the other. I had mentioned this to her during the mapping but Carly stated she did it that way because one of my eyes is lower than the other. I figure I have never done this before and I would trust her and the process but now I cant stop seeing this issue in the mirror and it makes it much more apparent that one side of my face is lower than the other side. When I talked with my friend who recommended her, she was quite disappointed. She was shocked with the work and so far I have paid $800. I'll admit Im very anxious to pay further for the work done so far but I already paid for the $100 and feel stuck to go. For my next appt, I will be more direct on my expectations and see if this changes the outcome. I'll be sure to update my review after my next appt. read more

I have been wanting to get microblading done for such a long time, but because it's on your face (obviously) I've been incredibly picky. Carly's work stood out to me and I've followed her for a while and finally set up and had my appointment this evening. She was extremely professional and kind. She made sure I was extra happy with the shaping before anything. She explained the aftercare for me after and gave me some goodies to help. I never post reviews on Yelp, but Carly definitely deserves this. I had microblading done two years ago (not by Carly) and they didn't turn out the way I had wanted. I was supposed to go to a follow up appointment after 4 weeks from the initial appointment but never went because my eyebrows were so dark. I thought maybe with time, they would fade. I was completely wrong and regretted getting them done in the first place and was looking into getting them removed a few months ago. Somehow I found Carly on Facebook and trusted her judgement. Happy to say, I just completed my 4th session of removal/lightening and so happy with the results. My eyebrows are now lighter and much more natural. read more
