I am a June 2023 bride. My biggest worry in trying to find a Hair & MUA for my wedding was: I…read morewanted to have a natural/soft glam style of makeup for my wedding day AND I have Asian features and haven't had the best experience with Western makeup styles and products. There are only a handful of vendors that meet these requirements, but I was so happy when I came across Christy K. When I had my trial, I could tell Christy was very knowledgable and provided excellent recommendations given that I was a very lost bride with almost no clue what direction I wanted to go for my makeup. On the day of the wedding, we had a very limited time window with 7 ladies who needed to get ready. Christy and her team not only got us ready with beautiful makeup & hair, but also finished much faster than the timeline we had previously discussed! And therefore, we had more time to do other wedding related activities. Her rates were also very reasonable. We received many compliments of how beautiful, yet natural we looked! There is one special thing I wanted to note about Christy and team. I had an outfit change from my Western bridal dress into my Chinese qipao. The makeup style for these two outfits can sometimes be very different - and if not done correctly, I wouldn't have looked as good in one or the other. However, the way Christy and her hairstylist did my hair and makeup worked perfectly with both outfits. Incredible talent! I don't always like how I look in photos and videos, but the way Christy and her team got us ready (as well as the few photo sneak previews) has me so excited for the upcoming photos and videos! I am so grateful for Christy K and team for making me look and beautiful on my wedding day! If you're looking for a top-notch makeup and hair artist that specializes in Asian features, I highly recommend Christy and team!

I had seen her work and talked to her several times about the look I was going for, and she totally understood. My makeup trial was a breeze. I showed her a picture and she did exactly that on my face. I asked her if we could lighten the eye shadow a bit, and go a couple shades lighter on the lipstick and she said no problem. The day of my wedding she started on my bridesmaids (I had 6!), asking each of them what they would like. They all have very different facial characteristics and she was able to cater to each one. They all looked amazing. Then she did my makeup and I didn't even have to remind her about the eyeshadow and lipstick detail we discussed months prior during my trial. She's SO great for wedding makeup ladies. Rest assured, she has your back, and you will look perfect for your big day. 12 hours later, my makeup was still in perfect condition. You won't have to think twice about how your makeup looks, and you'll be able to focus on all of the other details and memories.

From the very start Nicole was kind and professional. During my trial session I mentioned that I have sensitive skin and she really took the time to check-in with me throughout the process to make sure I was comfortable. I wanted a soft, natural look and she was able to create it even better than I imagined! On the wedding day, Nicole and her assistant (who is also great!) arrived on-time and ready to go. And just like during the trial session, Nicole was so sweet and made sure myself and my bridesmaids were comfortable. Myself and my two bridesmaids don't usually wear makeup or style our hair, but the looks that were created lasted the entire 10 hours of my wedding in 70 degree summer weather!
