a bowling alley with bowling lanes
Maureen B.

First time visit with friends. The bowling alleys is smaller that the other bowling alley I have been to. Overall bowling was great though we did have a few issues with our lane glitches. The staff ended up switching our party to a different lane. The whole area was clean, the bathroom could use some updating but they are ok. It was not as dark and did not smell of cigarette smoke which was an added bonus.

We had a fun bowl here. Lots of laughs and a good time. The automatic scoring is great for those of us that can't math. Now, I suck at bowling, but please let me tell you that I'm still a really good time! Had our own shoes, so we can't comment on the prices or cleanliness of them. Lots of ball selections. Drinks were high priced, as expected. Games are cheap. It's a really great place. However, we would have stayed much longer if it wasn't HOTTER THAN HELL IN HERE. It's not like bowling is super physical Hell, you can drink and bowl. Normally one should not sweat whilst bowling, but plan to in here.

this was our first time going to this bowling alley. It shocked us a bit when we walked in and there was really loud music playing. The music got changed and it got easier to be at the bowling alley. Half of the lanes were closed for repair. We ended up sandwich between two parties that were already bullying, which ended up being fine. We bought food and the grill top wasn't working. So we ended up only being able to get either pizza or fried food. Just be aware, and ask before you order. They were very upfront about all of these things before we ordered, so it wasn't too much of a shock. it's the closest bowling alley to our house, so we will definitely be back, and hopefully all the lanes will be up and running. Overall it's a bowling alley. Keep your expectations in check, and you will have a great time.

My teenage son, who just happens to have special needs, would bowl every day if he could. When I moved to Brownsburg, I was still taking him to the bowling alley we were used to on the West side of Indianapolis. When my husband told me to save some driving time and check out the bowling alley in town, I was skeptical. It wasn't until we'd gone bowling two weekend nights with great success that we noticed the Monday bowling special. Now, along with the occasional weekend night, we bowl almost every Monday. They have been very accommodating where my son's special needs are concerned and that means the world to this Mama. When we bring our toddler grandson along, they accept our little corner of controlled chaos, always giving us a little space between our lane and the next one being used. I'm sure the other patrons appreciate that as well. But, if you need a non-crowded atmosphere, Monday is the day to go. The two hour bowling special paired with a pizza and drink special is perfect for the budget conscientious. We've tried a few other menu selections (I love the Chicken Tenders), but we always get a pizza while we're there. As I mentioned, the staff has been very accommodating and helpful where my son is concerned. It took them a minute to appreciate him and heed our small requests, but now I would absolutely recommend Brownsburg Bowl to fellow parents of children with special needs. Although the tiny toddler size 7 bowling shoes make my heart swell from the cuteness, the adult shoes are a bit worn, uncomfortable and sometimes painful. But, they do seem to have a huge selection of bowling balls in many different sizes. The weekend cosmic bowling is more expensive and more crowded, but a very good time with strobe lights and fun music. Bottom line, Brownsburg Bowl is a great place to spend time and have fun whether alone, with friends or with family. Enjoy!

If you're not playing, they have monitors so you can see what's going on from the player's POV which is pretty interesting. They also have some food options that are geared towards kiddos and teenagers with things like nachos, hot dogs and cheese fries. I'm so glad that this place survived. The staff is SO PATIENT with all the children. Seriously, I love my children but the stress level in there could get pretty high with a bunch of little dudes all needing something at the same time and the teenagers working there were awesome. Their areas were spaced out anyway so they were already social distancing before it was cool. For two kids, an hour each, came to $70 which sounds like a lot but I don't have to buy a gaming computer and a VR kit and I don't have to get pissed when the kids scuff up the drywall playing Job Simulator at my house.

A new option for vr entertainment. No need to buy an expensive computer and be set. All games are…read moreavailable in 15 minute sessions with one, two, or three game packs at different prices. The facilities are brand new and in tip top shape. They offer a variety of food, snacks, and drinks. We didn't eat while we were here. But my son checked out one of the VR games for 15 minutes. He loved the kid friendly player vs player shooter. They have a large catalog of games to choose from. They do divide the games for older kids and adults vs younger players. There was plenty of staff on hand to assist and answer questions as well. The location is next to the movie theatre if you are trying to find it. I also heard they offer birthday parties as well. My son says he liked it a lot and had a good time playing the game.

The staff is mostly teenagers but they were all attentive the entire time. You do have to purchase their socks but you can bring them back. It is about $20 for 2 hours of play. I am not sure how they enforce the time. However my 3 year old was ready to leave bc she was tired. I am not sure how clean the place is bc there is a ball pit and foam pit but it seemed clean. Adults can go in the first floor and the toddler area was great. The big slides were a hit but she was not into climbing any higher than to the slides. As it got closer to noon it was as busy and there were some kids that had no manners and did not listen to the staff. Can't blame that in the place but it did seem like a lot of people just let their kids loose in there and don't checkup in them. We will be back for sure.

The girl at the front checked the kids in and was very friendly. I found the prices to be higher than expected and paid a little over $37 for two kids to play... Upon entering the play area, There is a sweaty gym smell in the air and the floors were filthy! Two areas of play. One is for toddlers, though I saw bigger kids in that area so I'm guessing it's not enforced well. Then a second area for older kids with trampolines. I don't think I'll be returning for the price that was paid...

I told her this, and she smiled and ignored the fact that her approach was totally unnecessary..... After I was done, I asked to see the manager on duty; as fate would have it, it was this same woman! She walked out of the office and asked what was wrong; I asked her what was wrong with her, with that rude approach. As expected, she denied she said anything wrong; I said actually you did; and she responded, "if you say so..."

The skating floor is large and has a pretty good even surface without any bumpy or rough spots. It's one of the larger and nicer skating floors in town. We do like the video screen because we are adult skaters who skate primarily for the cardio workout that's non-impact. The video screen helps break up the monotony while skating. We have visited about 5 times, and it's never super busy on the skating floor. Tuesday's are $2 admission and Thursday evenings are $3 each. The rental skates are decent enough if you're renting. One great thing about this rink is that there's bottled water for purchase, but there's also free cups of water provided for all. Bathrooms here are pretty large and adequately clean. This is a pretty big facility overall with room for probably 15 different parties at the same time. There's a smallish arcade with prizes and tickets available - pretty standard stuff. One thing I really like is that this is the only rink in town that I'm aware of that is open 7 days a week. I would give this facility 5 stars if: The temperature was cooler in the rink. One day we were there in the summer, and with the pizza oven on it was almost unbearably hot on the skating floor. The next time we came back it was better. The staff was friendlier. My husband asked the woman at the counter for change for the lockers and she seemed really put out by this :/ The carpeted floors don't look like they get much TLC and sometimes look like they could use a good vacuuming. I've never seen a safety officer on the skate floor like other rinks to dissuade dangerous or too fast skating. They usually don't turn the lights down on the skating floor during evening skating hours. No clue why not because sometimes they do.
