The food was good. I don't know that two sides and four pieces of chicken which were two legs and two wings were really worth $17 but the food was good and fresh Be aware, that they do have a credit card transaction fee now. Little add ons add up

This is by far the best chicken restaurant in the Chicago land area. This place is head & heels above Kentucky Fried Chicken & Popeye's. This place has more of a home cooked feel to it. This particular location is a lot bigger than some of the other Brown's Chicken I have been to. This one has a very big dining room. Most of the other Brown's Chicken locations are mostly for catering or take out & they have only a few seats inside to sit down & eat. This one has a lot of seats to sit down & eat. Their meal combos make it a good option to come to for lunch. The chicken here especially the chicken sandwich is some of the best & tastiest chicken around. Probably the one thing that makes this place stand out from other fast food chicken restaurants is their sides. Their golden brown mushrooms are delicious. Some of the other sides that are just as delicious are their macaroni & cheese, their biscuits & their mashed potatoes & gravy. If you're not looking for chicken they also have some good seafood options. They have three different seafood meals but the catfish or the butterfly shrimp was the tastiest. Overall the location is convenient & the food is tasty. I would definitely eat here again if I was in the area.

The Cole slaw was delicious (according to my husband). Not too cabbagy, not too much vinegar and not liquidy. The turkey bowl is very good: moist flavorful turkey, decent stuffing and moist, fluffy delicious mash potatoes and gravy!! I can easily eat just mashed potatoes and gravy for my whole meal. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was very clean

I used to love Browns and every once in a while I will stop in when I see one. I just ordered some chicken sandwiches for people at work and they were no good. They used to make an awesome sandwich but now they are nothing like before. The chicken breast is way smaller and thinner and the lettuce used was brown, wilted and had holes in it. The tomatoes were tiny and over ripe. I had to take all that off to eat the thing. The experience was a total bummer. For shame Browns Chicken - you are not even trying !

It makes me laugh when people with a healthy sense of self-entitlement get all huffy and give bad one star reviews for mildly bruised egos or minor inconveniences from minimum wage service workers. Why get pissed off when $20 feeds 4 semi-piggy people? Relax! Anyway, Brown's Chicken is a Chicagoland based chain that hasn't had much traction outside of the area, perhaps b/c of some bad press years ago related to an incident at another location involving murderous psychopaths that eluded justice for a decade ("Brown's Chicken Massacre" in Wikipedia if you're morbidly curious). It's really too bad, because it tastes better than a lot of other fried chicken from chains I've tried around the USA. Brown's uses a recipe of a buttermilk coating fried in a neutral tasting cottonseed oil, which makes for super crunchy and less greasy chicken coming out when it's freshly made. It's fast food, so make sure to wait for the freshly cooked stuff and you won't be disappointed by soggy chicken that's been sitting around in its own grease under a heating element. It's a regional chicken style and Brown's will even sell leftover chicken by the box at a big discount for less picky folks that want to save some dough. I find the non-chicken items standard fare and rather unremarkable except for the tasty fried mushrooms, but others seem to like them. Brown's does a hefty catering business and seeing boxes of Brown's chicken, pasta and sides at events was a common sight growing up in Chicago. "Brown's Chicken, it tastes better!" If you grew up watching TV around here, you just sang the theme in the same way the commercials did (yes, you sure did, just admit it). It's one of those local Chicago things that people familiar with it--even the out-of-state traveling gourmet types or the unreasonable one-star yelp reviewer types--will go back to time and again, b/c it's kinda always been around tempting us in the background. Check it out, why not.

I looked up highly rated Vietnamese restaurants and found Tasty House 1 in Carol Stream. This place is everything we anticipated it to be. The location is nice and has parking in front, inside is super spacious and had a relaxing and breathable ambiance. We ordered a family appetizer platter that came with all the delicious Vietnamese appetizers like: spring rolls, bbq marinated meat, fried eggrolls, grilled jumbo shrimp, meat wrapped in betel leaf, lettuce, noodles, cucumbers, cabbage, tomatoes, daikon, jalapeños, two dipping sauces: peanut butter hoisin and Vietnamese fish sauce. Another appetizer we got separately was the fried calamari which had a great crunchy texture, the absolute best! For our entrees I decided to build my own pho and chose tripe, rib eye steak and quail eggs. My husband got the spicy beef noodle soup (Bun Bo Hue). This is honestly the best Vietnamese we've ever had in our lives!!!! I'm so glad I found this place. Awesome service, food and atmosphere. Zero complaints everything was very fresh and perfect. Our hearts left super happy.

There is a separate vegan menu with half a dozen things on it, and other than the drinks and desserts, pretty much nothing on the regular menu is vegetarian. (The papaya salad, which is on the vegan menu, is a ringer: it contains fish sauce.) You've got your choice of various fruit lemonades, bubble teas, popping bubble teas, jellies, etc. Desserts include flan, Vietnamese yogurt, coconut jelly - none of which you'll be eating onsite as you'll be too full after your entree. Portions are on the large side - even the papaya salad is a meal. I got the peach lemonade, vegetable spring rolls and the tofu, vegetable and noodles, which turned out to be a soup, basically Vietnamese ramen. The spring rolls are tasty and come with peanut sauce; the vegetable broth was savory with lots of baby bok choy, plenty of noodles and cubes of fried tofu - it was even better with some of the homemade hot sauce, which I highly recommend. The lemonade comes in a bubble tea disposable cup and contains tiny pieces of fruit - very fruity, not very citrusy. Service was friendly and very personable, which helps if you're serving 16 people. All of whom were happy.

A sweet hostess guided us through the large white table clothed dining room to a bright big windowed patio-like area in the back of the restaurant. Showing up in T-shirts and gym shoes, we assumed we would sit at the bar but after speaking the hostess we decided on the dining room apologizing for our appearance even though they were not phased. I just moved to the area and wasn't sure what to expect but Ki's is a great spot to have nearby! It has more options that your typical steakhouse. There seems to be a little bit of Greek influence, offering kababs (which were SO good), saganki and Grecian seasonings. An underdog is definitely the pot roast, not usually something I'd order off a menu but when it came to the table and I tried it, I instantly regretted not getting it as a meal. However, I was very satisfied with the cedar plank salmon I ordered that was cooked to perfection. I'm very excited to have this place nearby. I've heard awesome things about their Sunday brunch so I can't wait to return during different hours and try different things!

The atmosphere is still delightful with little sparkle lights along the windows and plenty of outdoor seating. They've added an Instagram wall ("Ouzo made me do it"). For mains, and vegetarians can get the spanakopita; a buttered macaroni with cheese; or combine various tasty dips from the appetizer section. There's also salad which I ignore. The online menu has a few appetizers I didn't see (zucchini with skordalia! Oven-baked lima beans!). Warning, at least where I was sitting: the booths can move (not nailed down) - be careful when you get up. I got the chef's special spanakopita/tiropita and the roasted potato; be very specific when ordering as I was served the special "Molos Greek potato" with garlic yogurt and shredded cheese, which was fine but not what I wanted. The spanakopita and tiropita were tasty, with a good ratio between filo and filling, served on a folded cloth napkin (great idea, even perfect filo-wrapped items can be a bit greasy). Service started a little slow, as there was apparently a big party (they do that and they cater now). It was OK though I'm not sure English was my server's first language. I'll be back for the moussaka, which looks great (someone at the next table ordered it) and will be very precise when ordering my roasted Greek potato. Hopefully with a side of giant lima beans in tomato sauce.

The server was smart, funny and super attentive without being overly so and when she didn't know what wine to recommend she sent over a sommelier who set us up with a nice Italian vintage. We started with the mussels. These were ok. Seemed slightly pre-made but this was the only small knock on our entire fantastic meal. Next course was the Pasta: we selected the Rolled Eggplant with ricotta and mozz on top. Got it with "easy cheese" and it was perfectly sumptious and had the exact easy cheese as requested. The eggplant was cooked perfectly and was so very tasty. On the main course, if you've never had Veal this is the place to try it. I love a good Veal Milanese or Parmesan and the Milanese was perfect! Breaded, lightly pan fried with Arugula, large shavings of Parmesan cheese and a properly cooked Polenta side. Delicious! What a great idea for $23 to get a singular portion of an antipasta, salad, and smaller entree. I got the meatball, baby gem caesar, and spicy rigatoni pasta. I came hungry and left with leftovers. The caesar salad and pasta were amazing! The meatball was good but ricotta was served room temp where meatball was served hot. My friend and I agreed the temp difference was off. She got the meatball, roasted beet salad, and chicken parm sandwich. The beet salad wasn't her favorite as the arugula kept getting stuck in her teeth. The chicken parm sandwich had great flavor and was a large portion! I love this idea of a prefix menu for a fun lunch out.
