I visited this spot on Easter and overall I had a really great experience. Yes, the wait was long,…read morebut honestly I expected that because of the holiday. If anything, I took it as a good sign. I noticed people weren't leaving or giving up on the line, they were staying and waiting, and to me that says the food must be good. Now let's get into the food... because this is where they really shine. I've had a lot of soul food around Atlanta, and I can honestly say flavor can be hit or miss depending on the place. But whoever is in that kitchen here, they are doing their thing. Everything tasted very homemade, like real deal, cooked with love type of food. The cornbread gave very much old school, just right. The peach cobbler? Absolutely outstanding. It's actually rare to find a restaurant peach cobbler that truly tastes homemade, and this one definitely did. That alone would make me come back. We ordered the beef meatloaf, mac and cheese, collard greens, lima beans, and dressing. The dressing was especially good, again very homemade and full of flavor. The only small thing I would mention is there wasn't any gravy on the dressing, and I would've loved that. The meatloaf was good, but could've used a bit more sauce since it was just a pinch overcooked. Outside of that, everything was really good. The food was flavorful, the portions were solid, and the prices were very affordable. Overall, I'd definitely rate this place highly. I truly enjoyed it and will be coming back. I'll also be recommending it to my family and friends for sure.

There's plenty of parking, but seating is limited since it's located inside a commercial kitchen building. I would consider this more of a great pickup-and-go spot. The team here was OUTSTANDING. When we walked in, the chef gave us some chicken wings to try, and man, they were GOOD! That immediately had us excited for the rest of our food. We ordered the catfish, fried shrimps and white fish with mac & cheese, green beans, and collard greens. I loved every bite. Everything was well seasoned, fried perfectly, and nicely presented. My only complaint was that the collard greens were a little too salty for my taste. Other than that, everything was delicious. I would personally give the food a 4.5/5, but the overall experience gets 5 stars from me. Great food, amazing hospitality, and the kind of small business you feel good supporting. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area and craving some good soul food!

Of course my sides are still gonna be the mac & cheese and the yams, but I also get the collard greens and the cornbread muffins to make my meal complete. The fried jumbo shrimp are also really good. Don't sleep on the desserts because the cakes are delicious as well.

The baked turkey wing was not as meaty as I expected and tasted peppery, the lemon peppery chicken wings had so much lemon that it tasted sour. The collard greens I expected to taste turkey did not. This was basically a chuck roast slow cooked with BBQ sauce poured on top. The roast had a lot of fat on top. I had a side of mac & cheese and greens. The Mac & cheese was not bad. The greens had too much of the stalks in it and they needed more time to cook. I will say their drinks were on point...strong, like I like my drink. One more thing, this may have been a one off, but towards the end of our meal we started to feel the temperature in restaurants starting to get warm/hot. I don't know if they keep the AC high so it doesn't come on that often, but we noticed it was gettin hot in there. I would go back to try the lamb chops but our waitress told me they are well cooked. I don't think I want an over cooked lamb chop.

When I walked in, the restaurant was busy, and it was obvious they had a lot of orders to handle. Even with all that was going on, Sydney greeted me with a warm smile, made eye contact, asked how my day was going, and made me feel like a valued customer. She was friendly, engaging, and never seemed overwhelmed despite leading the team and keeping everything running smoothly. That's the kind of customer service that leaves a lasting impression. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming, and I can definitely see why this place stays busy. Great food is one thing, but outstanding employees like Sydney are what keep people coming back. Keep up the great work!

The sweet potato pie, was flavorless. It tasted like a bland custard. July 27th visit..tried the meatloaf again. It was horrible. The mashed potatoes tasted sour, they ran out of cornbread so I asked for some white bread, the server, gave me a crazed look and said..I will see what I can do...the sweet potatoes were bland, and very little...i purchased a piece of white layered cake , with orange colored icing...the cake was definitely stale, and cold from constant refrigeration, which is to simply hide the staleness....i will never ever eat at another big daddy,s restaurant again...the cashier, before she ran up my purchase, asked me if I don't mind reading and answering a question displayed on the cash register monitor screen...that question was how much would you like to Tip.....not did you find everything ok...is there anything thing else I can do for you.. No simply how much do you want to tip.. Avoid this old national location at all Cost. The food is simply repulsive....and yes I gave a tip of 4.00 dollars to the cashier. And $10.00 dollars to the older cute waitress, who was so rude. She didn't say even thankyou..Avoid at all Cost. I recall around 2017..bid daddy had a restaurant location downtown, near the courthouse...i and my co workers went to try his food. I ordered spaghetti and to my surprise they put bbq sauce in their spaghetti.....all these years and their food and service is still on the bottom I
