The Grind - BLATT sandwich

This hard to find gem is hidden in a tiny border town of SC off the main drag! I was passing…read morethrough and needed a break from driving and some food. This little shop is super unique and clearly the vision of a young lady that desires to serve the highest quality food from the farm to you!! From the repurposed building to the meal you receive, everything has a reason and a mission. I tried the BLATT sandwich and a piece of apple pie. Firstly, the bread was warm, crispy on the outside but not tougher than an old farm boot. Then the turkey was thinly sliced and heated to perfection! Avocado was ripe and fresh. The next two items were clearly off the farm, the lettuce and tomatoes. I've not experienced a greenery or slice of red ripe tomatoes on a sandwich or in any other capacity in a fine restaurant the beats these. Period. The closer, the Apple pie, was warmed and covered in homemade whipped cream. Not only were the apples soft and packed with flavor, the light flaky pie crust was a treat in and of itself. would recommend making the detour if in SC to visit this place. The 5-star rating is absolutely earned.

My husband enjoyed the cappuccino. The chai had too much nutmeg for my taste, but was good. It reminded me of pumpkin pie. If you're in the area, it's a nice place to grab a coffee/tea.

Date of Visit: 7/28/2025 Monday…read more For those that are following, this is my second foodie stop on my road-trip to the northeast. I'm not gonna kid you but I did do a little research on this place before my trip and is one of the reasons I am traveling on 701 north. Most sources I gathered from other YELP! reviews. And you really have to read between the lines on some reviews, I did not let them change my mind. I need to stop here. As I arrived and located the place, it was a little tricky to park but not bad. Entered the place and it looked just like the photos online. I stepped to counter and waited behind two others and not long after I placed my order. Just a regular burger cheese w/LT and a order of fries. Now it didn't take long and my order was ready. Don't get me wrong, this place is so busy there is constantly burgers cooking on the grill. And these burgers weren't sitting around either. As soon as as it was done it was gone, as fast as they were making them they were gone. Walked over to a table with my food and drink and sat and unwrapped one of the most beautiful burgers I ever had. No complaints, bun held up thru the juiciness. LT was fresh and crisp. And the fries were just as good even though I'm not crinkle-cut type. These were crispy and soft on the inside. Hope to back this way again. Once again I found another great spot off the beaten path. What does the barber say? Who's next! Peace.

Prices are good and they offer hamburgers, red hot dogs and chicken fingers. The chicken fingers came out very hot with good portions. Breakfast is also served.
