When seeing her for sick visits, she reminds me of the wellness and up-keep types of things: the things we tend to forget : flu shot, bone-density, mammogram, skin check, etc. Surprisingly, she will attend to all of my problems in one visit, instead of giving you the schpiel that the insurance company only lets them solve one issue per visit, which I have heard from other doctors. Overall, she and her staff treat me with respect and patience. I am so grateful to be able to contact her office when I am in need!

She's an old fashioned family doctor that as a medical professional I find completely competent. There's APA there or an NP by the name of Michaela who is just as sharp. Extremely thorough and knowledgeable. She caught an issue on my high blood pressure meds that no one in the last 15 years has caught and by simply adding something to my meds it dramatically helped improve my blood pressure. I've read comments about not returning phone calls. She's called me twice already on some lab work. The first time she called Without me asking her to call she reviewed my blood work left me a voicemail. There was a issue with my fasting insulin which got me a little nervous I called back within 48 hours she rang me back and got me on the phone personally to address it. I asked her to create some new lab forms so I could have it tested again and she did it without question. I don't know what people expect from a doctor in today's world. There's the real world and there's the hypothetical world In the hypothetical world the Doctor will spend an hour and a half with you and find that every single issue that is of concern but in the real world to be able to survive financially a doctor cannot spend huge amounts of time with each patient and still stay in practice peter I ran a medical practice I could not spend any more than 10 or 15 minutes with each patient or I'd be out of business. Anyway this review is not about me it's about her Dr O'connor and her very excellent nurse practitioner Michaela. I have nothing but good experiences to say and I've been there 4 months now on three separate occasions. My refills are easy to do there's been no argument about running prescriptions for me I would give it a 10 out of 10. I'll add one other point that you might want to take into consideration when looking at these negative reviews. A doctor that has a six week to 8 week waiting list is a popular doctor, and he or she is a popular doctor for a reason. Think about that.

This doctor may be competent but the practice is a complete mess. She lets an x-ray tech run the place because that person will be rude, confrontational and dismissive. So much for patient care. There are serious issues with professionalism, patient communication and follow up. There is no patient portal; phone calls are literally never returned; there is constant staff turnover and beware if you ever have to deal with the so-called medical director who is named multiple times in the reviews as in need of replacement. I second that. The doctor will not respond to calls or walk-in appointments. Even if your insurance covers it, they will not hold tele-health appointments until you put in your credit card number. What if you have no credit card or donʻt want the world to have your cc number when it isnʻt used? "Itʻs our vendor, we have no control over it." Change your vendor. This is health care, not profit care. The Physicians Assistant will not consult on the telephone. So either find a way to get to the office no matter how sick you are, or forget about it. When I did put in my credit card for the tele-health, the PA prescribed a medicine without noting that it was off the formulary. The co-pay cost me $430. The place is dark, dingy, completely unwelcoming and looks unsanitary. There is no written material to explain to new patients how to navigate the crazy way the practice operates. His daughter still works there, which makes it very uncomfortable to express any concerns or frustrations. I often felt that no matter what issues arose, I couldn't speak freely without risking tension or being treated differently. I was originally referred to this practice by a neighbor who spoke highly of Dr. Galbraith at the time. However, that same neighbor left his practice years ago for the very same kinds of issues I eventually encountered -- primarily poor communication and disorganization within the office. Dr. Galbraith was fully aware of my complicated medical history -- including surviving a coma and dealing with PTSD -- and I had trusted him with some of the most difficult parts of my recovery. A few years ago, he hired a new assistant who, while polite, has significant communication issues. She is extremely shy and often misunderstands information, which repeatedly led to confusion and delays in my care. Despite this, I remained patient and said nothing. Then, about two weeks ago, I received a letter from his office stating that if I wanted "better and faster service," I would need to pay $250 per month -- in addition to my insurance and co-pays. That was the last straw. I decided to find a new doctor and began transferring my care immediately. Before leaving, I needed one final prescription refill. Unfortunately, the same communication breakdown occurred, and I went several days without medication, which left me in severe pain. I called the office upset -- understandably so -- especially given that Dr. Galbraith himself had diagnosed me with PTSD and was aware of my emotional struggles since my coma. Instead of showing understanding or professionalism, I received a letter THE NEXT DAY stating that I was being dismissed as a patient. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. After five years as a loyal patient and one emotional phone call born out of pain and frustration, Dr. Galbraith chose to cut ties rather than show compassion or accountability. Ironically, I was dismissed for symptoms related to the very condition he was treating me for. While I have since moved on to a new physician, I feel it's important to share this experience. BE AWARE that this practice now charges $250 a month for what they call "better service," and that genuine understanding and patient care may not be part of that package.

Because my husband had rx's that were due for refill, he tried repeatedly to reach the office to make an appointment and left numerous messages, but his calls were never returned. In addition, three years ago he had a thyroid nodule that another dr. Had recommended be scanned, and dr zamani refused to refer him for a scan because he didn't believe it was necessary. Mission hospital recently found it on an unrelated X-ray and recommended an. ultrasound. Fortunately, my husband has found a new dr. Who was able to retrieve his records (apparently he knows how to use a computer) and ordered an ultrasound which in fact revealed several nodules, one requiring a biopsy. Maybe dr. Zamani s lack of loyalty to long time patients is what my husband needed to make a change to a positive change in medical care.
