This particular restaurant has the tiki bar aesthetic with the distinctive wood looking poles, plant/flowers, and other decor, while serving some pretty good Haitian food and delicious mixed drinks. The owner, Will, shared that he opened this place right before the COVID-19 pandemic. Glad that he was able to make it through, as the food was quite good and beautifully presented. Tasso (Fried goat), griot (fried pork pieces) and ribs were all great. The black (mushroom) rice was flavorful. The rum punch was good. The one we had was the authentic sorrel punch. Really tasty. The Soup joumou was thicker than what I'm used to and without meat/noodles but it was actually super flavorful. It had a spicy kick to it. We definitely enjoyed that starter. For main course, I had the veggie legume with rice and peas. I wasn't too interested in the rice but the legume was good. I would definitely stop here again if we're in the area.
