This is personally not my style of bar at all but my friends really wanted to check it out. It definitely seems like more of a restaurant and you really need to crave and enjoy Caribbean dishes if you're coming here. I can't speak for the food as we came here just for drinks. It is one of the places that's a restaurant but as it gets later in the evening there's louder music, people are standing around and hanging out like a bar environment. They do offer 2 for 1 drinks on a Friday evening at 10pm. I was in last Friday around that time but I don't know what other nights they do or don't offer this same special on. I didn't care for the drink I had which was the Jamaican mule, it felt like it was missing something and maybe because I live in California where mules are the big drink out right now and they're always served in the copper mule glasses unless you ask differently. I would give this place 3 stars based on my experience and my preferences on what I do and don't like but I'm giving it 4 stars as when I looked around the room people were enjoying themselves, talking, laughing, dancing and the group next to us said their food was delicious and authentic. read more

Lively place on a Friday night. The staff is friendly, offering very good and prompt service, ensuring the guests are happy with the food and drinks. As it was getting pretty late, we decided to skip the starters and ordered the mains right away. I couldn't resist my temptation to go for a beef jerk rump spicy steak. I had it medium cooked and was pretty pleased with it, although I must admit it was pretty spicy! I ordered sweet potato chips as a side to go with the steak and these were absolutely delicious and worth a try. It was after 10pm and happy hour, so we had two jammin cocktails for 1. Great deal for well made cocktails. All in all I really enjoyed the vibe of the place and the food itself as well as the reasonable prices. 2 cocktails together with the two main dishes cost us only £30. read more

A lucky find while walking the shopping plaza. Got there for happy hour so was given two reggae rum punches. Neither tasted good. The curry chicken and goat were presented in a huge pot and tasted delicious. read more

My friends and I go here regularly for lunch on weekdays, as we find the lunch menu extremely good value for money for the amount of food that you get, and the quality of it too. Between us we have tried nearly everything on the lunch menu and never had a bad experience! Beautiful food at all times, and equally important at lunch times, our order has always been taken quickly, and the food brought out promptly so that we have time to eat during our lunch hour without rushing. The atmosphere is also great, with vibrant decor and lively music which really compliments your meal. We have recently started eating here sometimes in the evenings (can you tell we like the place?!) and this has been an equally great experience. Even when it is busy, the staff look after you, and the service that we received when it has been empty at lunchtime is maintained when it is busy in the evenings. You can also order the lunch menu at any time of day which is amazing, and the portions are definitely big enough to serve at either time. What's more, the cocktails at this place are better than any I have ever had. and if you go during 2 for 1 times, they are also very cheap. I've never had a cocktail that actually tastes like it has alcohol in it until I came here. They always taste so watered down and full of juice. Have no fear, they are definitely alcoholic here and they come in so many varieties! All in all, I can't say a bad thing about Turtle Bay - other than maybe I wish it wasn't on the high street so I wouldn't walk past it and go in there so often! read more

If this review was only for the food and service, it deserved 4-5 stars. The food was great (as usual), service was really good too. However, I couldn't give more than 3 for the overall review. The men's toilet was quite bad, one had to stand on a pool of urine to use the urinal. No one bother to clean? The floor of the bar area was very sticky, with bad smell of alcohol. *I am not sure if I went to this location. But looking at the map it appears to be the one that I visited* I came here last week and I really enjoyed myself. We came on a Weeknight and the place was pretty full for a weekday. The staff here are so friendly, right as we walked in the hostess was smiling and greeted us (has rarely happened during my visit to London). The food was great, I ordered the Jerk Salmon, it came with a lot of salad. And for dessert I ordered BBQ Pineapple. I would probably order another dessert. I ordered Jamaican Mule & Koko Colada cocktails. They were great! I want to come hear during Happy Hour, and enjoy some more good drinks. ****NO STARS FROM ME**** (I put one star to post this and save lives!) 4.0/4 STAR RATING? IM SHOCKED When I was reading the Turtle Bay menu I was so confused. I meannnnn pickled coleslaw and spicy watermelon? I was even more shocked when the food FINALLY came (after an hour wait, bare in mind you have the table for about an hour and a half) I'm sure my fried chicken was made in a fireplace because it was very black, the top of my chicken was absolutely missing the coating and was very much giving me Mr. Burns vibes AND the mac and cheese? Babbbyyyy you guys need to go back to the drawing board with that one, tasted like vomit. I have NEVER been to a restaurant where the chips were the best part of the meal and WHY, JUST WHY did the halloumi have "jerk" sauce on it? I don't know who approves the menu or the food but I don't think they've tasted it. The young ladies besides me waxed off their plates, they were DRUNK so future diners if you're reading this, IT IS NOT TOO LATE!! Everything about this place made me think I was going to hate it. It's a 'caribbean' chain with indoor market decor for a start. But it was good. Surprisingly good. The fish curry was one of the most delicious things I've eaten out for a while, with a huge chunk of fish, sweet potatoes and yummy rice and peas. From reading the reviews of others I thought I would give this a chance . Having spent much time in Trinidad and Tobago I accept that I have high standards of what the cuisine should be like. However there was zero effort put into it. The 'Trini Doubles' was more like a microwaved freezer packet with undercooked chickpea curry on top and there was something which reminded me of vomit among the flavours . So I didn't finish this dish and for the next course I got King prawn curry with rice and roti. There was 1 king prawn in the curry and there were 3 bits of bread around the size of a credit card each. Somewhat reassuringly the vomit flavor was also apparent in the 'Roti' from this course which led me to believe that it was just some ingredient used in the bread rather than actual vomit. We also ordered 'Pineapple chow' which was old and not by any means fresh (the herbs were black not green, for starters). I did order a separate side of Paratha roti which was pretty good, the only dish which was any good. The drinks, although only £7 for cocktails, did not have any effect. I had 5 and I was still stone cold sober by the time I left. Disappointingly this is like TGI Fridays of Caribbean food. read more

And the employees and managers looked like they were having a good time, dancing to the music.
