While recently visiting the Garden Grove area, I was in the need of having my face, chin, and chin threaded when I noticed the sign for Brow Mantra threading salon. Upon walking up to the shop entrance, I was greeted by a friendly employee named Shaleha who introduced herself then asked what service I wanted done and was informed of the price for threading. As I sat in the salon chair, Shaleha quickly went to work on removing hair from my face, chin and neck as well as explained how the hair on my neck grew differently than the fair on my face and chin due to having thinner skin in that area. After Shaleha finished threading my face, chin, and neck, she sprayed my face with cool aloe vera spray then decided to check a final time to confirm that she removed all the unwanted hair. Following the end of my threading appointment, I promptly paid Shaleha for her threading services and was given a loyalty card to use at future visits. Although I live a ways away from this salon in Garden Grove, due to the thorough threading from Shaleha, I will absolutely visit again the next time I need threading services done and am in the area. read more

I've been coming here for a few years now and am always happy with their work. Eyebrow threading is $10 now (used to be $9). They always start out by offering you hand sanitizer so you can have clean hands while you pull your skin taut for them to thread. Dipali used to be my favorite artist but I think she left after having a baby so now Diya is my go-to artist. She works quickly, effectively, and it's not painful! They also always offer aloe vera and a little head/temple massage at the end, so it's very soothing and relaxing. Highly recommend! read more

I've been coming here for a while! I live fairly close to this location and I've never had to wait long to get my eyebrows threaded! I've been helped by multiple staff members to remember their names but each person has done a great job on me. I've never had any complaints and they always ask what kind of shape I want or if I would like them to just clean up my brows. The woman that did my henna was very understanding and did everything I requested in my design. You can bring your own henna designs in and they'll do it without an extra cost! This is the only place I can rely on to get my eyebrows looking good! I've been going here for quite some time and have never been disappointed. I got my upper lip threaded here once too and although it was painful, the results were satisfactory. I've also gotten a henna here before and it turned out really nice! Every so often, my husband and I come back to SoCal and I let my brows grow scraggly and ugly. WHY? Because I know that I MUST stop by Brow Mantra for my quick fix! On a quick and desperate Yelp search some odd years ago, I was in town for a wedding and I needed them done. I stopped by this place and it's a LIFE CHANGER. The women here are all so friendly and know exactly how I like my brows done. They even massage my brows/forehead/temples afterwards and it's like HEAVEN. For a small (really reasonable) fee of $9.00, you walk away relaxed and with beautiful threaded eyebrows. I don't even get that kind of treatment in St. Louis, AND it's ridiculously more expensive. I went here a while ago and paid $9 for eyebrow threading. I told him it was my first time so he was really nice about it. I could tell he definitely knew what he was doing and I tried to point out how i wanted my brows to be. I wanted to keep them thick yet shaped and clean of tiny hairs. I ended up with thin eyebrows! They were also too arched so I looked older...not what I wanted. Another reason why I gave this place 2 stars is because of the unexpected head massage. It was awkward, weird mainly bc I wasn't used to head massages, and it totally freaked me out. He did a pressure point thing where he took both his palms on both sides of my head and pressed as hard as he can. Ok I thought my head was going to f***ing pop. Seriously? I came in for eyebrow threading, not a freakin head massage. Ok I get that some people appreciate and like it, but at least ask "would you like a head massage?" This place is amazing! This was the first time I've ever gotten my eyebrows threaded and I was not disappointed. I've purposely grew my horrendous eyebrows out just and Prince did an awesome job on them. He even colored them in a bit just so i would know what they'd look like with make up on. Just came back from here a few hours ago and I love my eyebrows! Was looking for a new place to go to since I used to go to Ziba and I was never fully satisfied. Found this place and kept seeing reviews recommending Chaya! And that's who I went too and she did a WONDERFUL job. I felt kind of bad cause I kept asking her to fix certain parts lol but it she was very sweet and gentle and did my brows just the way I wanted and no place has done it perfectly before. And it was only $7! Definitely recommend this place. It's kind of hard to find cause it's tucked in the corner of a shopping plaza. This is a peaceful and clean salon with warm and friendly service. Prince and the lady at the counter (I don't remember catching her name) chatted quietly with me while the threading took place. It wasn't so much small talk that it got annoying.or intrusive, as I have to admit I often feel in any kind of beauty salon/store/etc. I felt relaxed and cared for. Brow Mantra is not too far from my home, and in a crunch for time and a need to wrangle the caterpillar forming across my face called my eyebrows, I decided to stop in. The store itself is adjacent to the Valu+ Supermarket (in the same plaza as Lee's Sandwiches on Harbor.) The woman who worked on my eyebrows did a nice job, but it was my first time actually almost tearing up as she threaded my eyebrows - nowhere near gentle as some of the other places I've been (that is my own personal experience though - could have been a bad skin day). For price ($9), convenience (5 min drive from my house in GG), and the mini massage they give you post-threading, this place gets a solid 4 stars. It may not be in the best location (if it wasn't for yelp, I would have never known it was there). Overall, a good alternative when I don't want to make the trek out to some other places I frequent. read more
