My lip gloss was over-applied to the point that it was dripping and could fully saturate a tissue. This was for my wedding, and I expected a consistent professional standard, especially from a studio like The Dollhaus Beauty. While the booking process and overall professionalism were good, the makeup result itself was very disappointing. Additionally, I was not informed in advance that the $250 service did not include hair styling, which was frustrating given the occasion.

She understood exactly what I wanted in my hair cut and actually cut it the way requested, not like so many that cut it the way they want to. I have made her my only Barber going forward, been back 3 times. I finally tried the waxing with her recently, being a little afraid of the pain aspect but she was great using the best waxing products and talking me thru the whole process that made it so much easier. I am no longer afraid of getting a Brazilian wax from her. It was surprisingly enjoyable. I am thinking of a full body was the next time, so much smoother. This salon is small but intimate and very clean. Private waxing room and I understand that they also do personal shaving if the waxing is not your thing. Appointments are best as they tend to get busy. They specialize in men grooming but woman are always welcome.

I used to book Connie but they've gone through a few staff changes and interior renovations, so now I book with Lesly. I'm pretty sensitive but she has catered to all my needs and is so fun to talk to. Ofc, I can't escape all the pain but she tries to be as gentle with me as she can & do it in smaller patches. I really appreciate her attention and care! The entire staff is super nice and are understanding even when I'm running 10-20 minutes late due to traffic! I always text or call to let them know. The one time I ran pretty late, they offered to reschedule me on a different day at no extra cost, or see me after their current appointment was over. I chose to wait since I was already there. They treat their regulars so well, so I highly recommend :-) PSA: Only metered street parking or parking garage straight across! On a whim after church I decided to come to Mint as a walk-in and I was immediately greeted by the staff. The walls are decorated with artwork made by the employees (all for sale too!!) and the salon has this retro modern vibe. The stylists are great with cuts, color and styling! Every person getting their hair done looked amazing, not a single person with a meh do at all. Taylor was my stylist today, and she is the cutest and nicest person ever! I showed her pictures of what I was aiming for, and she was so excited to cut my shoulder length hair into a pixie. After cutting my hair, she showed me how to style it and how to blow dry it (I'm not very good with these things) and I walked out feeling so confident and so in love with my new do. I'm super excited to come back next month for my trim. I highly recommend this salon!

I'm disappointed with how my recent experience with Sugar & Glow was handled…read more On September 12, I had an appointment and was delayed because I was stuck in the area of a car accident. I was doing everything I could to still make it to my appointment and expected to be only about five minutes past the grace period. I was even willing to shorten my service to just the Brazilian wax, without the mask, so I could still be seen, and I was willing to pay the full service price with no discount. Unfortunately, the receptionist was not willing to accommodate this. I also asked if I could speak with a manager and was told to email, but that management would not be reaching out to me. I was charged a $40 missed appointment fee, so I emailed management to explain the situation and request that the fee be refunded as a one-time courtesy. Berlyn Ramirez, the founder, responded that she would look into the matter and get back to me. I provided the requested screenshots of my calls. Since then, I have followed up twice requesting a status update and have still received no response. I completely understand having appointment policies and late fees, but I'm disappointed by the lack of communication and follow-through after I made several attempts to resolve the issue directly. I'm normally very punctual and was genuinely trying to make it to my appointment despite an unexpected situation. I would have preferred to resolve this privately, but after multiple attempts to follow up without receiving a response, I feel it's important to share my experience.

I really hope they can get back to the friendly and welcoming service they had when they first opened.
