This is not what a threaded eyebrow should look like
    Jevay G.

It's summer so Pryanka (my go to threader, who is AWESOME) is out of town, but next time I'll just pluck, that's how bad this place is sometimes. The young lady working today was horrendous. She didn't understand what I was saying and my eyebrows aren't even cleaned up, no shape at all they just look like a thick uneven lines of hair on my face . Why hire people that don't know how to thread properly? Providing a half ass service is a horrible business practice. Not saying all the women who work there aren't good, but this one in particular needs more practice before use ever gets near my eyebrows again!

Just had my eye brows threaded for the first time. Very happy with the results!

Pure Aesthetics is the best hidden gem of Gainesville. I spent the last decade moving around and…read moretraveling throughout the nation and have had aesthetic treatments at so many med spas and salons that I have lost count. Pure Aesthetics is hands down one of the highest quality experiences you will ever receive. From the moment you walk in the door, there are multiple receptionists who began greeting me by name on only my second visit. The atmosphere immediately calms you when you walk into the lobby, you will feel like you are about to have a massage! They always offer water, champagne, or a collagen drink (even if you are running late to your appointment, like I have unfortunately done more than once!) I can only speak to the services of Kelsey (electrolysis) and Lindsey (Coolsculpting Elite) from personal experience, but I am fully confident in saying that my experience every single appointment over the past few months is indicative of the entire staff. I cannot exclaim my praise for either of these women loudly enough. No matter what area of the body you would like to learn more about treatment for, everyone at Pure Aesthetics has an in-depth knowledge of the services offered and will never pressure you into booking a treatment or purchasing a product whatsoever. I was especially impressed to learn that all staff members that offer treatments must work the front desk for a period of time to learn how the office (and schedule) operates and to interact with the clients. I think this is the greatest idea from a Human Resources perspective (which I happen to have my Bachelor's degree in ) and ensures that any information given over the phone is well-informed, and not simply a reiteration of the menu of services offered which you can read for yourself online. If you are seeking a treatment of an area but are not quite sure if you'd like to go the surgical route, the building is shared with Gaines Plastic Surgery. I cannot personally attest to Dr. Gaines, as I have not had any surgeries at this location, but this is truly an incredible partnership that allows clients to pursue all their aesthetic or cosmetic procedures in one place, with staff they are already comfortable with greeting them and offering a plethora of experience, knowledge, and services along the way. Lastly, I feel it would be remiss not to mention the personal touch and genuine care that the staff has for each and every client. A few months ago, I had a personal emergency which left me without my cell phone, and I ended up "no-call, no-show-ing" two appointments in a row. Instead of blocking me from scheduling further appointments, both Kelsey and Lindsey showed immediate, unwavering care and concern and welcomed me back to my appointments as soon as I was able to make contact again. Of course, I hope such an incident never happens to anyone else, but many Med Spas that I know of would enforce a strict cancellation policy with no questions asked, but not here. When I come here, I know that I'm not only trusting my body with experts and professionals at their specialties, but trusting my overall wellbeing to a team that genuinely wants to see everyone look, feel, and achieve their best. I recommend anyone who is even considering a treatment at Pure Aesthetics to visit the website and at a minimum, get on the email list, as there is a new special each month, and the treatment you're eyeing might be next on the list for a discount! Special or not, my experiences here have been worth every penny!

Booking online is easy for two people with a variety of service options. Any time there were updates or changes, their front staff problem-solved effectively and always do their best to accommodate. Your lavish experience begins at checkout with a hot, scented towel. Next, you are brought to a delightful, gender separated locker room. The lockers are stocked with a towel, shoes (although I always bring my own slippers), and a silky robe to change into. There is a shower and sauna along with mirrors and vanity to prep yourself for post-relaxation adventures. Spa Royale's relaxation room is expansive. Unwinding officially starts for me when I get to put my feet up in one of their loungers with a hot cup of tea, mixed snacks, and/or flavored water (changes weekly). Their facials are heavenly and their massages are legendary! While the Grand Indulgence is luxurious, I would actually recommend the Himalayan Salt or Deep Tissue. The Grand indulgence and 90-minute facial are similar with the them massaging your arms and feet with body butter followed by warming mitts. The Grand Indulgence also adds an invigorating scalp massage complete with warm oil (Note: your hair has never felt so soft and vivacious... but you may not want to go to a 5-star restaurant dinner after). All their therapists are experts in their craft- a special shoutout goes to David! What I especially appreciate is their privacy and professionalism. They have a couple of dual rooms- which we usually pick. Great for mom/daughters or couples. You will feel comfortable the whole time! Bonus note: a new tradition for us is have lunch at the Cafe first. If you go, be sure to have the chicken quesadilla!! The coffees and smoothies are fabulous too.

The dressing room was dirtier than should be; the carpet didn't look vacuumed and towels and robes from the previous person were still on the floor. Strike one. The massage was nice, a bit rough, but relaxing. The music playing was awful, though, and ruined the experience. Strike two. Next up was the mani/pedi and all that can be said is that one could do a better job at home alone with an emery board. The nail technician seemed nice enough at first, but quickly started talking politics and religion -- subjects that are fine for discussion in the appropriate venue. Being held hostage in a leaking pedicure chair is not one of them. She kept filing too close and caused blood not once, but twice. During the manicure, she went on and on about how awful our town is now that it's becoming more "citified" and that the student population has pretty much ruined it's quaintness. The only reason we live in this town is because of the university, both having finished our advanced degrees there. The manicure took forever and three and a half hours after entering the spa, I finally left. When I got into the car, I noticed that there was nailpolish all over my cuticles. There were air bubbles in the toe polish and a huge smear on the side of my foot. As I drove away, I left more stressed out than I had when I arrived.

The inside of the capsule is like a sauna and then it has vibratory massage), what a way to RELAX.

Rhinoplasty Review Issues…read more I am horrified by my overall experience and result. During my consultation, I explained that my main concern was that the tip of my nose appeared too large and round. The consultation felt rushed, but I moved forward with surgery trusting Dr Tyrone's expertise. After my rhinoplasty, I called the office twice while my cast (which was just tape) was on because it felt extremely loose. I offered to come in to have it checked, but the nurse reassured me it was fine. When the cast was removed, it was barely attached to my face, and the nurse even commented that it was the easiest cast she had ever removed. As swelling went down over the next few months, it became clear something was wrong. The tip of my nose remained very large and pointed/crooked and one nostril began collapsing, my nose ran constantly, and I developed a noticeable lump on the outer nostril that did not resolve. When I raised concerns, I was often met with brief responses such as "that's odd" or told it would go away. A steroid injection was done to try to shrink the tip but that wasn't helpful. I noticed that the nasal bones at the top of my nose were protruding outward, causing VERY visible divots along the bridge and a very flat and bumpy appearance across the bridge. The bones that protrude outward are causing an inverted V shape on my nose. The tip of my nose is also noticeably crooked and my nostril look completely uneven. All of these irregularities are very noticeable, painful and very obvious. Instead of addressing the structural and cosmetic issues, Dr. Tyrone suggested placing filler in my nose for $400 to camouflage the mistakes. I obviously declined. I sought out two separate second opinions from other surgeons. Both confirmed that I was left with an open roof deformity and an inverted V deformity due to over-resection of bone. These are structural complications that are noticeable and painful and unfortunately, I may not be left with enough cartilage to fix my nose unless a surgeon harvests cartilage from elsewhere. Dr. Tyrone offered a revision surgery ONLY after I mentioned that I knew I had serious issues going on. He seemed annoyed. Unfortunately, for a revision, he quoted me nearly half of the original rhinoplasty cost, with no assurance of correction. I was told he could "try" to rasp down the sharp edges, but there was little confidence expressed. He said my nasal bones are comparable to a greenstick fracture. He said there's a lot of risk in revision and he wasn't very encouraging as he doesn't offer revisions. Due to financial limitations, I was essentially dismissed. I asked the woman working at the front desk if I needed to be seen again, as I was being seen every 2 months for a check up. I was told I would be seen again if I proceeded with revision surgery. I saved for years for this procedure. I am now left with pain, visible deformities on the center of my face, and no resolution at this time. I wish I had done more research before proceeding. Personally, I would be ashamed keeping someone's money and this be the outcome. Not only that, but if I went through with a revision surgery, I would be paying nearly half the cost of my original surgery. Please take your time, do multiple consultations with different surgeons and make sure you feel fully heard before moving forward with any surgery. My advice, please don't go here.
