Lance inspected my kitchen cabinets, advised what the job entailed, and provided an appraisal which I accepted with no reservation, for I reposed unconditional trust in his expertise. I hired Lance to install an in-the-wall dog door. He responded to my voicemail within a few hours and was able to schedule an appointment within a few weeks. He arrived on time and took his time to prep the area to ensure there'd be as little mess as possible. He went over various options and possibilities as to where it should be installed. Once we decided on the final spot he took care of business. He payed attention to details and never rushed a single aspect of the project. Once the door was installed, he patched up the drywall, sprayed it with texture, and sealed both sides of the dog door. Lastly, he throughly cleaned up after himself and then some. Brough to the rescue! They really fixed up my handyman fail. I had hired a friend of a friend to "fix the stucco in the front of the house and make it nice again" and I was left with a grey concrete mess, uneven stucco and and it was just depressing. Brough came in and fixed it right up. They were able to find the right color to match it to the existing stucco, were able to paint and texture everything and even scraped the gunk off my bricks to make it all presentable again for an affordable price. I have read other reviews about Brough Maintenance. Now I will tell all of you about my experience with Lance. I am a elderly person and have had a lot experience with other contractors over the years. I had him remodel my kitchen, utility room and dining area last October of 2018. I could not have been more satisfied with the quality of workmanship and his honesty. My wife and I were extremely proud of our new remodel and had him do our Master Bath. He had to correct a lot of problems that other contractors had done. All of our friends that saw his work, were completely in awe of his mastery of construction. I was very impressed with Brough Maintenance. Lance responded to my call timely and was very pleasant to deal with. His work proved him to be a very skilled technician. Lance came prepared to work and only stopped to answer calls or secure materials for the job. We discussed other potential projects. However, that may have been partially because Lance is the owner operator and he had to handle phone traffic. It may also have been due to his attention to details. Mr. Lance Brough of Brough Maintenance was contracted to re-stucco the side of our house after a plumbing repair by the Rotor Rooter company of Lancaster, CA. After opening up the area of the wall to start the repair, the plumbing work was found to be poorly done and he would not do the work until the plumbing was correctly finished. Upon request, Mr. Brough designed a really nice repair for the plumbing mistakes and re-accomplished the entire job which entailed getting new parts and new bracing. The work was accomplished quickly and the outside faucet was correctly repaired and probably more solid than ever before. This is just a note to say not only well done, but a HOOYA for redoing a plumbing job and the stucco work that he was originally contracted for. OUTSTANDING. read more

Normally I would do all of the work around my house myself. I had a broken leg so I was forced to call someone. I am a picky person when it comes to repairs around my house, of which I take great pride in. We needed a lot of work done to get the home ready to sell and I called Brough Maintenance. After comparing to a few other quotes and negotiating on the work I finally settled on doing, Brough Maintenance was the best choice. The work was done very quickly, more quickly than I expected, as I had a long list of items that were to be done. One specialty item we asked them to do was to re-finish the kitchen cabinets to get them looking like new again. It seemed a difficult task especially since splashed / dripping water from the sink over the years caused the clear finish to chip. He stated that he even called in a specialist to help and color matched everything and they made it look better than when we first purchased the home. They re-textured walls which blended in nicely, they put all new hardware on our kitchen cabinets and it looks like professional factory work. They also I really appreciate being able to call one person to help with all of the various needs we have around the home. If I hadn't moved so far away I would have him help with my new home, as these other maintenance contractors have not come close to the quality of work Brough Maintenance had accomplished. After posting my initial honest review of my EXPERIENCE with Brough maintenance, Lance did call me to apologize. This was long after my review. But after receiving his comment to my review I took off a star. He misrepresented our conversation and made me out to be rude, which I do not appreciate. His attacking behavior and lies to the conversation we actually had is only a true testament to his character. My decision to do my landscaping has nothing to do with one's experience with a company, whether or not you use their services and again only supports my review. Regardless of why I was treated so rude and unfairly, I can only hope he treats ALL future customers with the utmost respect and fairness because I did not deserve or appreciate our initial unpleasant contact experience or his later misrepresented and attacking comment to my review. Lance, owner of Brough Maintenance is the one person I rely on to take care of any and all home repair/improvement needs. He is friendly, professional, returns calls promptly and provides reasonable estimates in a timely fashion. I am always satisfied with his work whether it is seamlessly repairing and painting drywall, interior painting, fixing drawers, installing light fixtures, toilets, doorbells, or CO2 detectors. Most recently Lance did an amazing job in re-grouting all my tile flooring in the main part of my downstairs living area, foyer and bathroom. The initial tile installation was done by another contractor about 3 years ago and immediately the grout developed holes requiring patch up work within a couple of months. That same company had re-grouted about 8 months later, with the same result of holes developing. When I mentioned this frustrating situation to Lance and he said he could easily re-grout, I was thrilled. He completed the work in one day last November 2015 and used a sand based grout. The grouting still looks pristine-no holes developing! Finally it was done right and was reasonably priced. I could not be happier with the result!
