I come here for an excellent breakfast at anytime!!! I love their food almost as much as their message. When you go, you can read their mission statement. This touches my heart. The portions fill my belly. Now, have fallen in love with two dishes, the Greek Omelet & the Lamb & Garden Omelet. Have no clue where they get their lamb from & if I did, would probably go to also support them. These omelets are nothing to scoff at. They are so large, easily two meals for me. Yes, they warm up well. The cheese grits served with it are just an extra delight. Their hot sauce that is located on every table has a great flavor. I also love the fact they only have sourdough bread. Oh so yummy!!!! The coffee is always fresh & everything is served with a smile. The service there is just a delight. So many reasons to go here. I will give a warning. If you are going on the weekend, get there EARLY. Otherwise, don't' go hungry because you are going to have a wait. Yes, the wait is worth it, but still. This breakfast spot was really quaint! The vibe of the whole place was awesome and the staff was super friendly. My buddy and I loved it. The only downside is the food wasn't that great. The eggs were a bit runny and didn't have a whole lot of flavor too them, they just didn't taste that good. The toast w/ jam and the home fries were good so I did enjoy that and I got there famous juniper latte which was delicious. So because the staff was really nice and some of the food was good it's gonna be 4 stars . This is the BEST BREAKFAST IN MEMPHIS. and possibly best breakfast anywhere! I've traveled ALOT and always get the french toast everywhere I go to compare to Brother Junipers. I have yet to find a place that is even close. Biscuit sandwiches & toast are both AMAZING. Potato dishes are great. You really can't go wrong here. Service is always quick. I have never had a bad meal here, the family that owns it is beyond delightful, and the prices are reasonable for the portions you get. It's like two or three meals in one. Delicious sliced lamb, funky feta cheese, and generous amounts of diced vegetables transformed the simple fluffy eggs into something special and unique. My companion chose the Fireman Open Face Omelet, which she relished. According to her, the spice was on point without being overwhelming. My crispy roasted potatoes and her cheese grits were to die for. We were checking out the cinnamon roll pancakes ordered by the gents at the next table...4 men shared the dish and they only barely finished it. Me and my cousin came here for breakfast on a tuesday, wasn't super busy and we were seated right away. We both got coffee. I had the raspberry mocha & she had a cappuccino, both were good although the raspberry mocha did end up being just a bit to sweet for me towards the bottom of the mug. For breakfast we both ordered biscuits, she had sausage & cheese & ended up using the jam along with it, she absolutely loved the biscuits. I had a bacon egg & cheese, definitely a huge portion of eggs on it, it was very filling & yummy. & we both tried the loaded grits. I think they put a bit too much sour cream on it & it overpowered the grits a bit but my cousin thought it was just the right amount, so different tastes. This was our first time and we enjoyed it. First, the place isn't fancy but it has a great vibe. The walls are decorated with artwork from what I assume are local artist. That's cool. I enjoyed the Carmel latte...delicious. The loaded biscuit and gravy are the bomb. The biscuits are made fresh daily. You get a lot so be hungry. This was my first foray into cheese grits. They weren't for me but it seemed everyone else dug 'em. The other three people in my group had omelets and they "clean plated" them. First, lemme say that when we walked in I was almost positive Seth Rogan was behind the hostess stand. This guy legit could have been his twin, but I digress.. Peter was our waiter and he was great. Funny, personable, quick, knowledgeable about the menu. He made several suggestions for food picks. We both listened to him and we were not disappointed. I got loaded biscuits and gravy. Once again, a spectacularly delicious and expertly prepared breakfast for myself and my companion. I had the Mellow Portobello Mushroom Omelette and added roasted red peppers and spinach. For my side, I chose a biscuit and added gravy. I also substituted cheese grits. My gosh, they put garlic and five kinds of cheese in their cheese grits: so savory! The omelettes that they create here are huge and come out piping hot! (Now, they charge extra for most modifications and additions, but I think that it's worth it.) My companion had the Pancake Special. It came with two strips of the most delicious bacon that I've ever sampled! I'm so glad that I was dining with a sharer. Another thing that impressed me is that they freshly grind their coffee beans for every pot of coffee. This place has been making breakfast for many years, and have completely perfected the process. Oh, brother! My second trip--not my last, although I am regrettably limited by the fact that I live 6 hours away. Souther goodness meets...I don't know what...at Brother Juniper's. It's always busy--get there when they open and thank me later. The menu is deep--have a look before you go. Really delicious breakfast. Got here about 20 minutes after opening on a Saturday morning and it wasn't near full yet. Got the Denver omelette and added Swiss cheese. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. I liked both the habanero and chipotle sauces at the table. The home fries were amazing. Yes, it's a very expensive breakfast, but we knew what we were in for and we'd do it again (just not every day). Only nitpick is that I went to buy a coffee mug and while I was waiting to pay, they had a mixup with an online order, which scrapped a bag of food they'd just prepared. I understand the frustration, but I was ignored and then brusquely rung up and ignored again. Not even a glance in my direction or a minimal pleasantry for spending $27 on ceramic that might have helped them recoup some of the loss on the order they'd prepared. I was told this place was great so we came here on my last day visiting on Sunday in Memphis. I'll say the food was ok. But I couldn't help but notice everything was kind of hectic and chaotic and that may have been because it was so crowded and busy. But we got like half our food right away and then our pancakes and barista drinks took a while and that was ok but it felt like half our table was waiting for stuff still while some of us were half way done eating. The only thing that really bothered me was the guy cooking had his phone in his hand and was talking on the phone the whole time and he seemed like he was behind and trying to keep up the whole time but really unorganized. And I can't help but wonder if he didn't wash his hands after talking on the phone what other safety practices might they be lacking on. Like I said the food was ok but the experience felt chaotic. I can see a lot of potential if what everyone says is true but I felt like we were there longer than we needed to be just waiting on food albeit, it was pretty busy. read more

(nonetheless, we were just happy they were still going to let us eat lol) The aura/vibe of the place was super cool. it reminded me of the old country home town breakfast joint. the hosts and waiters treated you like you've been there a million times with huge smiles on their faces (it's always a plus to not feel foreign, we thoroughly enjoyed it.) my fiancé even said the restrooms were extremely nice! After about 15 min (told you it wouldn't be 45 min lol) we were seated and ready to order. our waiter brought us our menus and we immediately ordered.. I got a "Juniper Latte" for my drink (absolutely delicious) and my fiancé got a water with lemon. for food, I ordered the "Chorizo Sausage Burrito w/ the best Home Fries ever (oh with blueberries b/c I didn't want bread lol) ! my fiancé got "The Veggie Omelet Delight, an Oat Bran Waffle, the best Home Fries ever (& of course, blueberries) it was all so very DELIGHTFUL! My favorite place in Memphis! This is the place I will make the drive for to introduce friends who have not tried it or those who have never been to Memphis. It has a warm inviting feel to it even though not fancy. They have a large selection of delicious omelets and scrambled egg breakfasts. They have pancakes and waffles but the thing I love the most is the cheese grits. They are so good. They have something for every taste even Vegan. If you're vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free there were many options for you to choose from. If you like the classic omelet, there's options for you. Let me start off by saying brother junipers is the absolute best breakfast you can get in the city of Memphis! Absolutely divine! Me and my wife got there 5 minutes before opening time at 7:55 a.m (opens at 8 on sundays) there was about 15 people in front of us already so get there early! There will be a line if you don't and up to an hour wait as the inside is pretty tight! We were seated and I ordered the Junipers latte, caramel, steamed milk and espresso (delicious!) my wife ordered the raspberry latte. Wife ordered the philly cheese steak potato bowl and I order the San diegan which is an open face omelet with bacon, mushrooms, onions, sour cream, feta cheese, and tomatoes. The hollandaise sauce was the best I've ever tasted . . The home fries were soft but not mushy & well seasoned . . The bacon was cooked perfectly . .
