During this time, we let the backyard go...it was in pretty bad shape. Weeds everywhere, overgrown grass, all of it. I had gotten a couple of quotes, but Martin's professionalism stood out. He cleaned up both the front and backyard to make them look good as new and now comes every two weeks to maintain them. A couple of months ago I asked him if he could help plant some veggies for the backyard and he (and his team) did a fantastic job of that as well! On what my husband said to them - My husband told me they came to the door and said they're done, which is different than what Jacob said he said. Because what Jacob did not mention was that I told the brother to talk to ME and not my husband, which he didn't do. I said to text/call me. He didn't do that either. My husband works from home. He should've checked, but I said to his brother to talk to me because I knew my husband would be too busy to check. We can go on and on about "he said, she said," (or in this case, "he said, he said,") situation. In my experience, that isn't helpful which is why I only wrote about my experience and what the end product looked like. But since it was mentioned, I wanted to add those additional information so people can get the whole picture. Jacob was right that they were notified and that they came back the next day to pick up the debris, which is what we agreed to. I want everyone reading this to know that the team that came and did an exceptional job, was only expected to pick up the debris. When Jacob mentioned I said they went "above and beyond" was because they picked up the debris AND decided on their own terms (I assume) to clean the yard the way a clean up should have been done in the first place. I told this to Jacob in the hope that they would be celebrated. It was a giving and vulnerable gesture for Jacob to share another gardener's contact information. I'm still debating whether it would be a good idea or not. Vintage definitely will do their best to mend their mistakes. They're kind and respectful people. They want to do well. I want to be clear that I could not recommend Vintage not because that they're mean or awful people. No; They aren't. I can't recommend them because I want to recommend a lawn service that knows how to do the job they are advertising themselves for, consistently. My standard for a clean up is for the company to pick up the rotten fruits on the ground, to cut the lawn/weeds low, to not pull delicate plants that were mentioned not to, and to pull weeds that were clearly overgrowing. They didn't meet those standards. I've had multiple experience with them for yard maintenance and now, two times with yard clean up. I commend them for always trying to fix their mistakes, but again, these yard expectations should be done on the first time. This review was based off of months of using them for yard maintenance and now yard clean up twice. Perhaps they do better in a much more manicured yard setting where they're able to focus on just the lawn and rose pruning -- something more straight forward and simple. With my review, I hope if people are going with them that they are attentive to these things so they have a better experience than I did. I hope they hold Vintage more accountable. If Vintage truly are "willing to fix their mistakes and will gladly jump at the opportunity to mend this less than stellar service," then I hope this review will help them towards that. It is unfortunate it didn't work out with me, but please make your own decision and let's hope there's growth.

After his normal business hours, he still made time to come over and help me out. Not only did he order the parts for me at a deep discount, but instead of just knocking the job out himself, he patiently walked me through the entire process step by step. He showed me exactly how to do it so I could handle it myself should the need ever come up in the future. What really stood out, though, was what a genuinely kind and sincere person he is. From my brief interaction with him, he seems to be a true family man. He lit up talking about his kids and how important it is to him to put them through good schools and give them the best opportunity in life he can. He shared how truly blessed he feels being able to help others through his landscaping business, and how that allows him to take care of his family in return. You could tell that warmth and gratitude just radiated from him. On top of being an outstanding landscaper and irrigation expert, he's the kind of guy you instantly feel like you've known for years. He stopped at Home Depot, picked up wood and everything he needed, he showed up, rebuilt that part, and would not accept any money for the supples or labor.
