We went with the coastal/modern California design direction. We hired Juan and had the best experience with a contractor we've ever had. Juan and his team went above and beyond with the materials he used, the design thinking he contributed in, and the extra effort he put in throughout the entire project. I received five estimates for our patio and concrete removal project. Bella View quickly stood out for a number of reasons. They were the only company that said they would create a cap and lid for the septic which is underneath. I even had one company say they would just put pavers over it and we could remove them to get to the septic tank! The other thing that stood out was Juan's vision. We hired Juan and his team at Bella View Landscape to landscape our backyard, which was in dire need of improvement. Our yard was a weedy, overgrown mess, with broken, moss-covered concrete - it was an embarrassment, and we never used it, even though we had a nice view. We only had a general idea of what we liked and wanted, but I read his reviews, and I checked out all 500-plus photos of his projects on Yelp, and I felt comfortable trusting him with the project. Even so, Juan exceeded our expectations. Although he is clearly an expert in his field, with a fine artistic sense, he listened to our ideas and worked with us, while making great suggestions and providing us with different options. He and his crew continually worked on our project and finished it in a timely manner, unlike some contractors who work on your project sporadically, as they try to juggle several projects at once. I think he is truly the best contractor we've ever hired, and we are in our 60's, so that's saying a lot. Juan noticed other areas outside the scope of the project and did extra jobs for us without charging us more, such as removing unsightly trees and bushes from other parts of our property, just because he genuinely cares about creating an overall great outcome. I was also very impressed with the crew's professionalism and attention to detail. Their skill was amazing! They were always courteous, kind, and patient - even when we interrupted them to ask questions - and they cleaned up after themselves every day. I arranged for Bellevue landscape to come out and help me fix a broken sprinkler line. I confirmed the terms that Juan and I agreed to on a phone call via a yelp message last week, which Juan at Bella View Landscape agreed to with a message back saying "received, thank you." The following week - after not showing up for two hours after the agreed time - I called only to find out that they forgot to put it on their schedule. When I asked if they could start another day, he said he'd get back to me. When he called back, he said well I can get there in a half an hour. I said it's the end of the day and the job may take longer. He demanded to know who told me it would take longer. I said a previous landscape person who couldn't do the job. He angrily said well I've been in this business longer than they have and you shouldn't listen to them. At which point I asked if he can come the next day, and he said "no my son is slammed. There's no way he's gonna be able to come the next day." I know everyone can have bad days, However his hostility and defensiveness just made it clear he's not somebody I want to work with. As I've seen in the other reviews, I'm not the only one who was treated this way. I'm going to find a different vendor to help me, UPDATE! A minute after positing this review, Juan texted the following: "I feel sorry for Fxxxxx Rxxxxxxd being your neighbor." WTH? Is this message supposed to be a vague threat? I texted back the following: "I'm not impressed with your implied threat. I will add this text exchange to my Yelp review. Any further threats will be handed over to the police." I highly recommend Bella View. Juan and his crew have been amazing. They did two projects for us to complete our backyard and courtyard. First project done in 2023. We had them extend our driveway, install pavers, and install artificial turf. This was the first phase as I didn't have a complete vision of what I wanted my landscape to be at the time, but we needed the turf and pavers since we had nothing (bought a new build). Communication was very easy to schedule a consultation and to get a quote. Once they started the work, it was full steam ahead. From my memory, it took Juan and his crew around 3-ish weeks to finish the first phase. Everyone was hard-working and his crew always cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. Juan and his son, Santiago, were our main points of contact and were on-site for everything. They were very responsive to any concerns we had during the project. Second project literally just finished. It took two years for me to figure out what I wanted (but hey, I had a toddler and I had a new baby). Juan and Santiago came out for our second consultation and quote. What I appreciated was that they still had notes from our previous encounter and confirmed all measurements this second time around. We wanted them to install a seating retaining wall with planter space behind it. We also had them clear out our north-side area of the backyard and put gravel (plan is to maybe put in a pool or structure, but I have committed to that idea yet). Lastly, they also finished off our courtyard with a seating retaining wall and planter. They finished this project in 11 days (but really 8 since we waited for a second shipment of bricks). Victor was the main person on site for us this time around, but Juan and Santiago were our main contacts. I was able to send them a wishlist of plants I wanted for the landscape and they were able to source everything I wanted, plus they added other plants based on their professional opinion (which I always appreciate). This project went smoothly as well and I am now loving my backyard and courtyard space. Just in time for warm weather fun! They also made sure all drainage was easily accessible despite putting in the pavers, added in irrigation, and added stubs for electrical work when we finally install our lighting. Bella View is worth the investment. Sure, you can always shop around for the cheapest bidder, but for such a large investment, it's worth it to go with a trusted company. They are licensed, and provide a warranty for the work that they do. read more

Bella is my go to for all of my landscaping needs. I have used them for several different projects in my backyard and they have been amazing each time! Recently they came and changed out my drips lines in my flower beds for some new plants and installed landscape lighting. To paraphrase their messages, an action will result in a reaction. If needed, the full text exchange can serve as a court document of Bella View's threat and attempt to silence me. We have a 100 y/o house near UOP with a very old concrete and now hazardous porch and driveway. Based on their good reviews, we had Bella View replace both. Their forman, Juan Heraz, was excellent; when their demolition unearthed several unanticipated problems, he quickly came up with solutions. Their crew was a well-oiled machine, everyone working hard (even in 102° weather) and exhibiting a good attitude. The team at Bella has been amazing throughout the entire process and that included more recently reseeding the lawn that was previously laid and assisting with a piping issue (not their fault). Of all the contractors and subs we've used to build our home and landscaping there are only two I would recommend. One is Bella View Landscaping. While still more to do in the backyard, the photos illustrate the hardscape (pool, pavilion, bocce ball court, and flowerbeds) done. What you don't see are the are 20 separate valves that irrigate the many sections of grass; (2) drip irrigate the rows of wine and table grapes; (3) deep water the 15 fruit and citrus trees; (4) drip irrigate the flowerbeds; and (5) drip soak the fifty Thuja trees that boarder our neighbors properties. Much of our awful clay soil was removed and replaced with excellent topsoil producing grass so healthy it looks artificial and the best winter garden I've ever had. Bella View's General is Juan, who has staffed the company not with employees but with family members that respect each other and work towards a common goal. That goal is excellence, honesty, passion and follow through. These pictures don't do this landscape work justice. Can't wait to do the front yard. Juan and his team came in to do my backyard about 2 weeks ago. Bella View does everything you need, grading, fencing, concrete, sod, plants. They had to grade the yard which was really hard dirt and they knocked that out in only a couple of days. The fence they built is very sturdy and looks very good. They added concrete to our existing concrete to expand our sitting areas and built an amazing fire pit to match the color of our house. They were able to finish the whole project in a little over two weeks with coordination with my husband and I to give us exactly what we wanted! Bella View Landscaping is an amazing company! If you are looking for a landscaper, you can stop looking! The first thing I do is check a contractor for license, bonding, and insurance. All of that checked out to be current. After walking through our property, Juan and I discussed what needed to be done to replace our faulty drainage system, bury a gas line, update our sprinkler system, replace and add some mow strip that was too low, remove and replace aging plants, sod, and create a peaceful side garden. Juan wrote up a detailed proposal, including scope of work, a time line for work and progress payments. The work began on the timeline promised, and progressed timely. My husband and I added a few things as we went along, and could have had issues with our property line, but Juan, Kevin, and crew were very considerate of our neighbors and addressed problems before they developed. The crew worked day in and day out through completion, never leaving us waiting or wondering if they would be on the job. I cannot express how grateful I am for their efficiency.
