The café is great - good service and a pleasant atmosphere. The driving range gets 4 out of 5 because it doesn't have a cover. There are a lot of golf holes/courses - definitely 5 out of 5. However, the fairway quality isn't always the best - I'd give it 3 out of 5.

Fairway condition (08-2025) also check the sprinkles going off on the left during the round.

For the price of golf, I'd recommend going elsewhere. Horrible conditions, hit the fairway and be punished with a trash lie or sprinklers going off during the round. The prices increased due to their fancy golf cart upgrades but that money should have been spent on the course maintenance.

On July 5th, I played a round of golf here. I was unaware that the course had been used as a parking lot for the 4th of July fireworks celebration. Despite having an early tee time, the course should have been closed for cleanup. Cleanup crews were scattered throughout the golf course, attempting to clear the debris from the previous night's festivities, with little concern for their safety. They were at times in the direct line of play, which was concerning. The course was left with tire marks and trash from the event. I was surprised that they were still charging holiday rates, rather than the usual rates. Typically, this course is great for early tee times, and I would suggest that they allow ample time and space for cleaning crews to clear up after events such as football games or concerts.

Simple bar 4 starts for happy hour prices. Good cocktails. I was impressed! Stopped by after walking 3.5 miles around the Rose Bowl.

    good food

Great place, Was worried from reviews about pace of play but not many people when we went. Went on a Monday course #2. Course in decent shape, greens are good rolling pretty quick. Some fun holes out there. Hit the happy hour after, food was solid for a good price. Will be back!!

Just one of the many cow pasture fairways.

This is what happens when you take a 4 star course then park cars on it for a couple months. Every so often letting people play golf while it's a 2 star course, and still charging the full price.

    Beautiful clear morning

I just attended the First Tee of Pasadena at Brookside Golf Club, and was very impressed. First off the course looked beautiful, with several guests commenting on how pure their putts were rolling. The staff was attentive and super helpful, treating us like VIPs. They had In and Out burgers supporting the event which was a big hit too. What a great day of golf for a good cause, right next to the iconic Rose Bowl.

Sad. This place has gone down the hill. Dirty, dingy, trash on the premise. Smelly in the halls.

The driving range net near the first tee is clearly too short, and from what I experienced, this has apparently been an ongoing problem for years without meaningful changes being made. During my round I was almost hit by golf balls three separate times, including being struck by a range ball on the first tee. There were already dozens of balls scattered around the tee box, making it obvious this is not some rare or unexpected occurrence. A warning over the loudspeaker does not fix an unsafe setup when range balls are consistently clearing the netting. Beyond the safety concerns, the course conditions have gone downhill badly compared to when I played about a year ago. The greens were extremely rough and bumpy, putting felt more like putting on cement than on maintained greens. The layout also feels overly cramped and tightly packed, which only adds to the safety concerns throughout the course. To top it off, my golf cart died before I could even finish the round. Overall the experience felt poorly maintained, overcrowded, and unsafe, which is disappointing because the course used to be in much better shape.

Sometimes instructors can be very chatty and I don't feel like I'm getting an actual full hour's worth of a lesson. If that is something you're concerned about, please consider Nowndale! Every time I come in for a lesson, it is jam packed with information and practice time. He really focuses on the lesson and your improvement. I feel very comfortable asking him questions (even if they feel silly) and he'll kindly answer and help me understand. I really have nothing negative to say. Then my friend recommended me his previous coach, so I went to Nowndale and after just ONE lesson, my game started improving right away I was shook!!! After 2 lessons, my form looked so much better and I kept looking forward to seeing Nowndale the next week after. It was the only thing getting me thru the week, the lessons with him. He's so, so good at explaining the mechanics of the golf swing and how to get you to do exactly what you need to do for the perfect swing. I ask so many questions during my lessons and he's so patient with me and answers all of them, and encourages me to point out my own mistakes and explain to him how I could correct them myself. This one-star review is not directed at Eaton Canyon as a golf course, restaurant, bar, or driving…read morerange. It is specifically about the young brunette woman with a terrible attitude who works at the front desk and consistently displays a rude and unprofessional attitude. I do not know her name, and this is not a personal attack--it is simply an honest account for anyone visiting Eaton Canyon. I'll bet just by my brief description, young brunette woman with a shitty attitude, the existing staff knows exactly who I'm talking about. My brother and I have spent thousands of dollars here this year alone. We come nearly every weekend, spend generously at the bar, and always follow the rules. We've never once tried to sneak food, drinks, or free rounds. This past weekend we prepaid for our morning tee time through Golf Now. At check-in, we also requested a replay round for the afternoon and a bucket of balls to warm up. The gentleman checking us in charged me, I tapped my phone to pay, and we went on our way. No issues. After finishing our morning round, we had lunch at the bar. When we returned for our afternoon round, while waiting at the 1st tee, the young woman at the clubhouse shouted from a distance, "The cart return is over there." My brother replied, "We're not returning the cart--we're about to play our round." She yelled back, "You didn't pay. You have to pay or leave now." I calmly walked over to her to sort things out, but she was immediately argumentative and confrontational. She raised her voice at my brother and refused to listen to me as I tried to explain. I told her respectfully that if there was a miscommunication and our replay round had not been paid, I had no problem paying again. The gentleman working alongside her handled the situation professionally. I showed him the charge on my phone, and he even called the staff member who checked us in earlier. During this process, the young brunette came back out and told us, "I'm done with you. You guys need to get out of here. Dead ass. You guys need to get out of here or I'll call the cops." She then grabbed the gentleman by the arm, pushed him inside the clubhouse, and slammed the door in our faces. To be clear, I never cursed or raised my voice. My brother and I were calm and sober. This was completely uncalled for. After this, we respectfully drove the golf cart to my car. Loaded our bags and then returned the cart to the designated area. I want to reiterate that this review is not aimed at anyone else at Eaton Canyon. Ruby, Jason, Theodora, and every other staff member we've met have always been 100% professional and welcoming. We get along with many regulars + members and have even been invited to join the club. Up until this incident, our experience with staff, crew, and fellow guests has always been excellent. That is why this situation is so disappointing. It is unusual and concerning that Eaton Canyon management would allow someone with such a consistently unprofessional attitude to represent the front desk. On the day in question, she was even dressed unprofessionally in a Cowboys jersey--not in Eaton Canyon attire. I encourage management to review the security footage, speak to the bar staff, and evaluate the reputation my brother and I have built at this course versus the behavior of this one employee. I can understand miscommunication and frustration, but no guest should ever be treated the way we were--with rudeness, shouting, and threats. Eaton Canyon is a wonderful course with a great staff, but this one individual damages the experience for loyal customers.

Let's start with the positives…read more The starter was polite and the greens were in pretty good shape. Not a bad layout for a small space, but there is much to be improved here. The tee boxes and rough were less than acceptable. Beat up and let go is an understatement. I brought my own pushcart and on a hot day it would be too much to walk. I avoided the cart fee because of all the negative reviews about them prior. For $22.75 during the week for 9 holes, minus the cart fee, it's steep (for what you get). Based on the conditions I'd suggest $15 to walk and $25 including a cart on the weekdays. It is tucked away off a major street and it has potential, but considering it would be $45 for 18 holes this course is not worth the return. Golf is at an all-time high and Eaton Canyon can do better.
