I received flowers in a beautiful arrangement only to discover the majority of them were pungent lilies. I called the florist and asked to speak to the manager and explain to him that they were too strong to even take it to the house. I asked him if he could replace the lilies for something else because I wanted to enjoy the flowers.After arguing with me about how old they were, why you should've called sooner ,which it was just the next day , receiving them late the night before, he reluctantly said he would take care of it. I would give ZERO stars but it wasn't an open. Literally paid 70.00 for a 10.00 to 15.00 hanging basket that Brooks picked up from the grocery store. I called Brooks and he literally said I was a "whiner and complainer" and hung up on me. I'm not kidding. It was unbelievable. Avoid getting delivery from this establishment at all costs. My family had a horrible time trying to get them to deliver flowers for my mother on Mother's Day of this year. We ordered the flowers 3 days in advance and even confirmed the correct address on the day of delivery, but our forethought and planning were for nothing. No delivery on day 1. We then spent the next two days calling for redelivery and being told both days "we're so sorry for the mix up, we are sending someone out again right now." Finally on the morning of the third day past due, a shady looking delivery guy finally shows up, dumps the flowers on the porch and speedily drives off. Maybe they have a better track record on non-holidays but I'm sure not going to ever try and find out. read more

Delivery was two days late. These flowers were for our 35th wedding anniversary. My husband ordered them for before noon on Saturday. We left at 1:30 for lunch-late because he was waiting for them!! This special surprise. No phone call from the florist. He phoned them back late afternoon and they reportedly tried to deliver "late" afternoon and no one was home. We had a celebration on Sunday with family and friends with NO FLOWERS. My husband calls and asked for Monday morning delivery. . No flowers...he called again. They delivered late afternoon...five roses and five Lily's in a short vase (they obviously used the same flowers from Saturday and cut the stems, NOT what my husband expected for what he paid. The roses are already totally opened up and Lily's brown, five hours after delivery. We threw them out. It was hideous!! NEVER AGAIN!! read more

Zero Stars! Scheduled a dozen roses to be delivered to a restaurant for an anniversary dinner. They never arrived. I called two times during the day to check on the delivery. No response, no return calls. I called them again the next day and spoke to the owner, Brook. He apologized, but offered nothing in return. Called our discussion banter and he would get back to me with a solution. Again, no call. I called again and said that I expected the charges to be refunded (of course) and asked him what he could do to make it right. He said he didn't have any solutions. I asked him if he would deliver the flowers to my wife she never received and he said he would have to charge me. As a business owner, you would think he would like to make things right. If you want a reliable delivery and good customer service, you should select another florist in OBX. Horrible experience. I wish I read the other reviews before placing my order. My wedding planner friend that recommended Brooks said she will never use them again. read more

terrible service! ive ordered twice from this place and every time i encounter the same situation. i live in miami and my mother lives on the outer banks in north carolina. for every occasion i like to send my mother flowers as a gift, unfortunatly brooks happen to be the only floral store that i can order online from that delivers to my mothers home. the first time i ordered was for my mothers birthday i ordered purple flowers in shape of a birthday cake, she received yellow flowers and i wasn't notified about the change. for the second occasion i ordered a beautifully displayed arrangement of a mix of flowers with orchids. what she received was a sad looking arrangement with one baby orchid that didn't look to lively. and when i called them about the situation they wouldnt address it. looks like from now on im sticking to a different gift read more
