Unfortunately, I had a very unfortunate experience with this Mavis and I would like to share what…read morehappened so that not only curious customers are aware but the employees that helped me are as well. Towards the end of last year (October-ish), I got my tires replaced at this location and everything was great! No real problems until April, when one of my tires kept going flat. I took my car back to this location and explained to them my predicament - explicitly mentioning not only that my car has had previous issues with the tire pressure sensors, but also that one of my tires kept going flat, no matter how often I would put air back into it. I called back 3 1/2 hours after dropping off my car to ask for an update and was told that they had been calling me for hours (Note: I did not have 1 missed call from anyone in my call logs!) and that my car had been done for a while. I asked them what problems they had found and what work had been done to fix their findings, to which I was met with a very condescending tone telling me that, "The only thing wrong with your car was that your tires were low on air, so we filled them up for you!" Naturally, I was very confused. I asked if they checked the sensors and the tires themselves for any problems and was, again, immediately met with a quick and snarky reply of Yes we checked it all and your car is fine. Fast forward to 2 (Two!!!!!) days later, my tire sensor light turns back on. One more day passes and my tire is flat once again. This time, I take it to another tire dealership in Winder. Within the hour, my tire is replaced due to the carpenter nail lodged within it! Isn't it crazy how that works? As a single young woman, I find the condescension and lack of respect absolutely ridiculous. I admittedly do not know too much about cars, but if a customer comes into your establishment with a specific concern, I would try listening to them. I realistically would not be able to Ever recommend this location to someone after my experience.

It has been sitting outside on Sean's property collecting dust and debris for over four months. Sean originally took on this project and told us that if he got backed up, Jay would step in to help get the car up and running. We were completely fine with that. However, without any clear communication, we suddenly found ourselves dealing only with Jay. Communication since then has been terrible. We receive no updates unless my husband repeatedly calls, texts, and pushes for answers. Each time we are told additional money is needed for parts or labor, my husband immediately withdraws the funds and pays them. In December, we were told an additional $2,000 was needed for labor just to get started. My husband withdrew the $2,000 and paid it, and we were told that would cover the remaining labor. Since then, nothing has been done. No labor. No progress. No updates. All the parts needed to rebuild the entire front end are there. The car has not been touched. Now we are getting the runaround. Jay does not respond to calls or texts, and Sean claims he has nothing to do with it -- yet the vehicle is still sitting on Sean's property, and Sean is the one who originally took on the project before passing it off. At this point, this feels like a complete scam. We have documentation, text messages, proof of payments, and photos posted on their Facebook page. This situation is beyond unacceptable. We do not recommend Sean or Jay for any projects in the Gwinnett, Winder, or Barrow County areas. We are prepared to pursue legal action to resolve this matter. This has been 100% ridiculous and completely unprofessional.

I called the mechanic that referred me to the shop and asked him if that was a fair price because it seemed high. He said yes it's a fair price so I figured if I'm paying a premium like that the job would be done right and they would have it done in a day so I figured it was worth it. When I pick my truck up and drove it for a day or two I noticed the temperature was going back-and-forth a good bit. I called them and talk to them and they told me that there may be air in the system still and to burp the reservoir. I did that and my temperature still was erratic. About three days after I got my truck back it ran hot. I had to pull over and let it cool in order to make it home. On the way home it started making a rattling or grinding sound that I've never heard before. The truck is a 2014 and I've had it for five years and it has never given me any problems until now. They gave the truck a clean bill of health when I left the shop yet it was running hot and had new noises. I had to take another day off of work to take it back up to the shop and let the mechanic listen to it and see what he thought. He told me the noise was an idler pulley and the temperature issue was a coolant temp sensor. He said in order to replace those two parts he would have to remove the intake to put the sensor on and it would be another $650. I thought that was strange so I got another mechanics opinion. He immediately told me after hooking his diagnostic machine to my truck which Niel's never done that the coolant temp sensor was fine and it was reading perfectly. He then told me they probably did not put a thermostat in it or installed the thermostat wrong. When he got under the hood and started looking he noticed that the water pump bolts were not even finger tight and about to fall out. He took the thermostat housing off and found that the thermostat was installed upside down with a gasket jammed in there. He then called and priced a water pump that was $100 and they charged me $280 for that same part. They charge me $75 for the thermostat that was $15. Moral of the story if you ever get work done on your vehicle always call and price of the parts yourself if the shop is charging you 300% markup on something more than likely they are crooks
