Cruise port fr my balcony 11298 Sayonara!

Sorry I posted the wrong port, I'm reviewing this time the correct review of Brooklyn terminal, My 1st cruise w MSC cruises was out of Manhattan near Hell kitchen, a beautiful terminal but my 2nd time I was surprised it was out of Brooklyn cruise terminal, only NCL cruise is still docking in Manhattan, it's definitely cost much more there that's why MSC got out n NCL charged higher price to dock there. The terminal doesn't look exciting at all, it looks like a military barrack that even the migrants had the audacity to reject it n demanded to return to the 4 stars hotel in Times Square. I don't want to take any more cruises out of this port, it was a good 40 minutes fr Times Square where we stayed at the Marriott Marquis, I'd rather pay more to go on NCL. My 1st time that I went to this terminal was w Princess cruises, omg i barely escaped the flood, the entire terminal was flooded along w the tunnel, it was Sandy hurricane, I had ESP n changed my cruise to 1 week earlier n made it alive outta there. 3 stars might be generous because to get there you'd have to go through a lot of bad neighborhood n who knows, people can get assaulted at intersections if the red light last too long for the crooks n gang to rob you I read about this n now w crime rampant in NYC, it can happen again.

Yes. It's my 1st time seeing the Statue of Liberty.

Clean, organized, and easy to get through the process of getting on our cruise ship. The staff is very friendly and upbeat. I must say that I had reservations about the limited bathrooms inside. There were only 2. Not only were they clean. The hard working cleaning lady stationed herself outside these 2 bathrooms and cleaned them often. I would like to give her a shout out. I don't know her name though. Thank you. I boarded the Princess Enchanted on Saturday, October 22, 2022. It was one of the easiest boardings ever on to a cruise. We have been to several cruise terminals. Bravo, Princess. When we disembarked, the following Saturday, we needed to get to JFK. We were advised to save $ and get a taxi. To do this you need to get in the taxi line. There was a single man in front of us. I asked him if he wanted to share the cab and split the fare. He said yes. It cost us both $40. We both of course added a nice tip as well. P.S. Once we boarded our ship & began exploring, I was just over the moon to see the Statue of Liberty. Yes, Brooklyn Cruise Terminal is the best!

Really big cruise terminal. I came here for Beauty Con and couldn't believe how big this place was. I also didn't know they host many events at this location. Red hook!

NYC was one of our ports of call on our cruise a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, the ship docked here instead of closer to Manhattan. I read the 3 other reviews for Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, and I wonder if I was at the same terminal they were at. I did not see any gift shop for purchasing those Brooklyn souvenirs. Maybe it was closed for the season? I did not like this terminal at all. Meh, I've experienced better.

Review Highlights - Brooklyn Cruise Terminal

The terminal is fairly new and couldn't be any closer to Manhattan if it tried; the battery tunnel is literally 2 minutes away by car.

The location cannot be beat - central to everything a person could want to do or see in Manhattan (perhaps this is best illustrated by the fact that it is RIGHT NEXT DOOR to Harney and Sons, the best tea shop in NYC, which is saying a lot). The service could not have been better. I arrived prior to my check-in time and they were so gracious; I was completely discombobulated due to being there for a memorial event, and was still pretty upset about my loss. They were so understanding, and even found a different, BETTER room for me to check in to that let me change and leave for my event. I wish I could give more stars. The hotel itself is so lovely. The courtyard is an oasis of calm, and with only a handful of rooms, the entire property is on a human scale that is otherwise nearly impossible to find in NYC. It is a super-refreshing contrast to large, corporate hotels that thousands of people sweep in and out of, with all of their messes, germs, etc; this place feels like you're staying in the stately home of a very solicitous friend. The breakfast cooked to order on the premises (next to the courtyard) was so nice, and started the day in such a civilized way. The rooms were very nice, too. Perhaps best of all -- and again, nearly unheard-of in NYC -- they were QUIET. Even in one with a window on the street, I was able to sleep like a baby. My only regret is that my trip was such a whirlwind that I wasn't better able to express to the staff how much they helped me in a difficult time. But I hope this conveys some of that here -- you could not ask for a better home away from home on your travels in New York.

Valet parking was pricey but well worth it because it was so well integrated with the check in process. The room I stayed in was beautifully decorated and the bathrobes provided were luxurious. All great so far, ...right? Now the problem about the room was that the PTAC unit was exceptionally noisy and every time it cycled on, there was a distinct banging sound. Sleep with that kind of noise was nearly impossible. Secondly, at check in, I was told that the restaurant, Cipriani, would be serving breakfast the following morning and offered a 20% discount for hotel guests. After a difficult and relatively sleepless night due to the banging PTAC unit in my room, I learn the the restaurant can not serve coffee because their machine broke, their wait staff were not attentive and the food was barely warm. The hotel should discourage their guests from eating there in my opinion based upon my experience. By the way, the discount for my breakfast did not appear on my bill when I checked out later that morning.

All of the staff at Ace were kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful with my questions. The vibe of the hotel was very hipster (coworking in the lobby, DJs at night in the lobby), which made for a unique experience. The rooms, while smaller, were very well appointed and comfortable. The products in the bathroom were lovely, the bed/pillows were very comfortable. If I have the opportunity to stay in Brooklyn again, Ace will be at the top of my list for sure!

A rude woman who did little to correct her mistake. Now I'm wet. I went to the bar to ask if they'd replace the drink. The bartender immediately said "no go ask the manager." Well alrighty! I find the manager and he proceeds to re-explain the situation as "so you want us to buy you a drink? It's not our fault or responsibility." We're adults. I never placed blame. A peculiar thing to say considering I just bought the drink and I'm in your establishment. Felt pretty short tbh. Not sure why I was expecting a different tone. He eventually just offers me a shot. I don't particularly like shots so I kindly slid the remainder of the spilled drink and declined the shot, suggesting that Managment show the next customer a little more grace and respect in tone. Obviously an establishment isn't responsible for spilled drinks and don't have to be kind at all. I get that. But I guess that's what separates a great establishment from a mediocre one just selling drinks and not an experience. Good luck to them.
