This station, which serves the J, M, and Z lines, is an elevated station and I usually walk up the rickety metal stairs; however, there is an accessible elevator (and token booth) at Marcy Avenue.
I like the elevated trains; I don't like the people who take the opportunity to have long phone conversations while the train is aboveground. That said, I usually update my social media and take Instagrams--which I also do below ground, although it's naturally easier to update when you have a signal.
This briefly was my cardinal stop--when I lived in Williamsburg, before it was tragically hip--and I saw immediately that the view going over the bridge at night to or from Manhattan was worth the price of admission. Savor the moment! read more
