Scratched up swing arm and didn't set wheel straight and belt rubbed on rear pulley.

How they deal with their mistakes and owning up to them and rectifying them. I arrived with the saddle bags, tourpack, side covers off. Not to take any chances of getting scratched. Mechanic was insulted that I didn't have trust in them. So left the bike for a first time tire change since I bought bike new and new battery. Arrived back that afternoon to trailer home. When we put bike on trailer and went to strap down i saw that all rim edges were damaged and where the old weights had been scratched removing them along with the scratched swingarm. Went back inside and talk to service manager. He said he would contact me next day. I called back and he said mechanic said they were like that when they came in. Have you it's the first wheel change ever on bike. So integrity is out the window. Service manager said the would get me a rim when someone had rims changed. Its a year later now. I waited to write this review. I took wheels back off and had rim place clean it up. Put wheels back on and lined pulley correctly. I personally would never go back. You decide. If you don't really care about how they treat a 30,000 dollar bike then he's your guy.

Absolutely amazing experience. Johnny was my advisor and as a new rider he was so informative. Indian has beautiful bikes and I couldn't be more excited for my test drive. Great staff. I couldn't possibly had a better experience. Go see Johnny and meet Eric and you won't be disappointed at all

Specifically if the rear-facing radar system could be added as an accessory. Other dealers told me that it was not possible. Mr. Hamlin told me that yes, it should be possible but he would confirm with Moto Guzzi and get back to me. Indeed, Mr. Hamlin called me a few days later and told me that he was correct and that indeed the radar system (blind spot warning and lane change assist) could be added to the model in which I had an interest. Not every dealer would go above and beyond like Mr. Hamlin.

He told me to take my bike to Hamlin Cycle without hesitation, and his advice was spot-on. - They did the seasonal setup for me, and another service to install crash bars, and I just went back for new tires. There was a minor hiccup with one item that they thoroughly took care of without any static at all. Finding an honest shop is a big deal in 2024 and integrity cannot be understated. - The showroom and the shop are clean - that's one of the first things I look at. If a shop takes care of their stuff, then they'll treat mine well too. The labor rates are fair and the staff is friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. - Following on another review - they sell bikes, but this strikes me as a genuine bike shop more than a dealership. This isn't a discount garage, but do you want the cheapest guy in town working on your bike? (The correct answer to that is "no.") -Highly recommend Jim, John, and the rest of the team at Hamlin Cycle.

While there is no official BMW Part number and one can only buy the gaskets as part of the plug ($60) or an entire harness ($600+), Russ found some used ones on a discarded harness and sent them to me at no charge. Above and beyond. My local dealer had no answers when I asked then about used parts or any other alternatives. My alternative would have been using black rubber o rings, fit as best I could to prevent water ingress. Russ's service was at the top level of what I experience these days. He is an asset to the organization and to the wider BMW rider community.

*The Gift that Keeps Giving* ...and who said Customer Service was dead!? I did! ...but that was…read moreuntil I met Austin of Max BMW in New Milford, CT! I own an early '80's BMW Airhead (R100RS) and I have lots of friends (who despite, living with me in Southern, CA) recently suggested I call on MaxBMW for my specialized AirHead needs. They told me their service was great, pricing reasonable, and their online MicroFiche (bike parts, diagram/drawing reference) was great. They were right! But that's not all I found which impressed me. This is where Austin comes into the fold... As a former Retail Store Owner, and having been in the high-end retail game for 20+ years, I know impeccable service when I encounter it. Austin (Parts Department) 'is the man with the plan'. While I've not met Austin in person, and I've only known him for several weeks... I feel like I've known Austin for months. Years possibly!? We've had approximately 6-9 interactions (all phone-based) all of which were incredible, and each encounter more comfortable than the prior. Austin is the consummate professional: patient, knowledgeable, friendly, supportive, fun, passionate, and resourceful. Because of my repeat positive experiences purchasing small, incidental parts, I ended up spending much more time and $ than anticipated. Clicking around their well-organized site, I got a little click-happy! Heck, I went as far as to have Austin order an OEM Center Stand from BMW Germany for me. I'll be stoked to get this into my hands in a few weeks... Oh, and did I mention a Red Label Next Day Air package of parts (from CT to CA) that arrived within 24 hours of my phone call!? If my experiences purchasing parts have been like this, can you even imagine what fairy-tale experience awaits those purchasing a motorcycle!? :-D A believer in Top-Down Management, I would imagine that Austin has equally capable counterparts and a management Team to support him in his daily quest to conquer. SCORE: 11 out of 10! I couldn't recommend more strongly a place to do business! THANK YOU Austin & Team Max BMW of New Milford, CT. Customer for Life, -Scott "Adam"
