I'm posting this review not because I got my part, and it was inexpensive and it was OEM...but…read morebecause of Mark D. who helped me above and beyond on attempting to resolve my vehicles ongoing issue. I have been trying to source out a part for a 2014 Crosstrek that had an electronic fault, even after recall. It's been throwing out 3-4 check engine lights and 2 codes. But, that's another story. Back to Mark D., he was polite, professional, well informed about cars, and most of all, the epitome of service! He looked up the part # and even had to locate a cross reference #, due to the discontinued OEM part. Mark D., was busy on this Saturday morning, and offered to do a little more searching for me. He asked if he could try and do more to provide me some options..."can I call you back in about 15 minutes?" And Yes, he called me back when he said he would! Mark provided me with options and shared some suggestions too. He explained that his store closes at 4pm today and if I call back before then, he can place my order or go online @ advanceautoparts.com. Beware of price gauging. I brought my car for a simple windshield replacement. First I scheduled an…read moreappointment, as that appointment was approaching, they asked me to move my appointment to two days later so the part would arrive. I did and dropped off my car. They part allegedly did not arrive until 3 days later. I was unexpectedly without my car for basically the full week. Beyond the typical scare tactics into replacing other items at extreme prices, they charged me $1145 and 5 hours of labor. This is egregious no matter how you cut it. When I pushed back I was effectively told "too bad".

Picked it up today. Price was 60% higher than last time. Counterperson said prices have gone up. I told her it was four weeks ago. I paid the lower price, but was warned prices go up. It was like she looked at the screen and chose a random price to charge me. I will not be back.

When I first called for an estimate, Sara was so friendly and helpful. She got right back to me with a quote. Of the three places I called, only Sara called back and was prompt and professional. I felt like I was talking to an old friend. Once I decided to work with them, Kia guided me through all of the considerations regarding the glass elements of three projects. She is super knowledgeable and VERY VERY experienced. She helped me avoid some costly mistakes, and Kia's guidance really saved $$$$$. She was determined to help me, and she even helped me source contractors for different needs we have for our home. Most importantly, Kia went ABOVE and BEYOND with excellent service. She personally came to our home to oversee the installation and placement of her creations. Kia and her installers spent over an hour getting just one of the orders PERFECTLY situated. They took so much of their time just to try to make everything extremely precise. Kia also took a look and advised me on a huge master bath renovation. She has great insight and design advice.
