I stood at the front desk for 5 minutes ... not a single stylist said anything to greet me. They all saw me and said nothing. I then sat down thinking ok, I'll wait until someone comes up. 2 stylists were done with their clients, came to the front desk, took care of them, and went back to their chairs. They saw me and didn't say a thing. If this place doesn't take walk-ins, they need a sign that says so. If they DO take walk-ins, then their customer service absolutely sucks. No matter what kind of business it is, a greeting of every customer walking through that door is normal. 15 minutes of time wasted just sitting there. Glad I didn't waste my money on a business with horrible customer service.

The website answers any and all questions about your cut, color, or wax in advance, with a demystifying FAQ page and a full before and after care list. My service was ~30 minutes long and I felt totally comfortable for the duration. Nitty Gritty goes out of their way to ensure their salon is an LGBTQ+ safe space - there's specific information on waxing if you're transitioning, an ask for pronouns at the time of registration, and a truly welcoming atmosphere for all. This alone will keep me coming back and supporting, but the fact that the service is so top notch is a nice added bonus. The reviews don't lie, Nitty Gritty is the best. I finally made an appointment last week for Friday. Now don't come expecting those really fancy spas that charge a whole body. This place was quaint and very chill. Park in the back it is easier to check in and then leave after paying. I was greeted warmly and then filled out some paperwork. The house that this is spa is located has multiple levels and the bottom floor is dedicated to hair and check in as well as retail. The second floor contains the pedicure/ manicure stations, and massage rooms. The next partial level contains the facial rooms and little ways above I think is tanning and the offices. Stephanie came down and she was going to do my facial. We chatted and found we had a lot of similarities. I was happy about finding that my face was just about perfect. Then Jacob did my massage. It wasn't bad. Though my arms and hands didn't get worked on, but then again I dozed off for a little. He did work on my lower back and shoulders which were my problem areas. He also gave me some tips. Then Rachel took over for the rest of the day. She did my mani and pedi. Then also washed and styled my hair. The hair did start out really curly but by the evening it fell a little and provided some nice curls. I'm probably going to get this wrong but Taja and all the gals have great personalities and I enjoyed my time there. We all chatted and showed pictures. It was a great deal as well $302.00 for the whole 4.25 hours. Only missed out on the light snack as I was starving after skipping breakfast and lunch. Not only do they do a wonderful job with my hair, I also value the friendships I have formed. When I first visited, I was having problems styling my extremely fine and thinning hair and was in dire need of a makeover. Ashley put a lot of care into helping me to select a new cut that is not only extremely easy to style, but also makes my hair achieve its maximum volume. In addition, she suggested changes to my hair color which give it the illusion of being thicker. At Pure Bliss, I have had my first experience with Aveda's plant-based hair dye. I am amazed at how gentle it is and no longer need to worry that coloring my gray is causing additional hair loss. It actually makes my hair feel like it has more body. come here and get my hair done by caitlin. i haven't met the owner but heard nice things. i have…read moreyet to try the manicure, pedicure, and massages. there is also a massage therapist that comes in. there is waxing and the regular cut, color, style for men and women and children. the salon is clean, modern style and easy to find on the corner winton rd. and another street i cannot remember. the private parking lot is in the back where the entrance is as well which is nice. oh and i can't forget that i was offered a glass of wine while i was waiting in their cute waiting room listening to awesome music. there are also opportunities to buy paintings, hair ties brought in by a private owner, and of course hair products.
