There's a lot of coughing, a lot of "help me, help me" and a few strange patients including, but not limited to a) the whistle guy who, you guessed it, is ALWAYS whistling, b) the lady with purple headphones who just turned 100 who wants to know who drew the "no smoking" sign and c) the lady who repeatedly asks, "what if there's a fire?" Cool place, but let's hope Poppa (what I call my Grandpa) can return home soon. Until then, bring on the wheelchairs, hand sanitizer, oxygen tanks, and crazy cute old people.

Well now that I/we have had to utilize this property for rehabilitation/assisted living for my Mom, it is absolutely horrible. With in the first 4 days of being here, our Mom fell multiple times, she was placed in quarantine and no one could visit her to see what was actually taking place, because she came from a hospital setting. Once her 14 day quarantine was up, even with the Lasata Staffing knowing that they had a positive Covid testing of an employee, they moved our Mom to a different room, to start another 14 day quarantine. Luckily we were able to find and secure a new living facility for her, with in a weeks time, only to get her and see that her leg, ankle and foot were swollen. When Lasata was questioned no one would return call soft over a day. When they did call back they more or less said not our problem she's not enrolled with us any more. What a heartless caring staff you are Lasata - from the conference calls to now having a Mother in worse shape since her arrival to your facility proves / answers my unanswered questions - it's all about the money and the number of residents you keep- there is NO CARE for the resident or their families. The grounds were great for walking and reflection. The staff here was phenomenal--so kind, attentive, and compassionate. The individual rooms were really nice, large (easily accommodated multiple family and friends), and had comfortable furniture. The staff offered us pillows and blankets. They even had mini fridges and an outdoor patio with each room. The weather was nice when we were here so we often utilized every aspect of it. There are many spaces to use here aside from your loved one's room. They have a sun room, a grief/meditation quiet room, a living room, a dining room, patios, porches, and several garden spaces. Get this--the staff even provides brewed coffee, creamer, and sugar as well as fresh baked cookies. It was definitely a life-altering experience to have to watch someone deteriorate over the course of several days. The staff really helped create a sense of understanding and support throughout. It took me a few months to write this review or get back into everyday things like "yelping" after this, but here I am. I wanted to share what a wonderful home-like environment this was and what a unique facility. One powerful thing to note is that the have these faceless angels everywhere from the Willow Tree brand/series. You can pick them up and each individual angel has the name of a lost loved one and/or an inscription... so powerful. I guess, in summary, if hospice is what you're considering, I would hands-down recommend this place. My nana came out here from Brookfield.

Our entire family is beyond grateful to the angels for everything they did for my husband and our family. End of life is never easy no matter how you try to prepare for it. Kathy Hospice has the best loving angels who truly care. The hospice is peaceful and has a homelike atmosphere. Numerous wildlife outside can be seen from the windows. It is very serene. You and your loved ones are treated like family. I can never thank Kathy Hospice and their Angels enough for everything and words cannot express fully what an amazing place this is.

I'm not Catholic, I'm giving you a sociological observation, the staff and administrators here exude sincere compassion driven by their faith. I do volunteer entertainment work so any assisted living-skilled nursing facility I review is going to be good at scheduling social activity and cultural stimulation for patients and residents, but St. Anne's seems extra special in this department. The outside isn't so attractive but the insides are clean and comfortable, the chapel is lovely and there are many friendly gathering rooms. Family and friends seem quite welcome but the most remarkable thing about this place is that the food is good, though they did foist some decaffeinated coffee on me.

One even sat with my mom when she could sense my mom was feeling very down. The HUC on the rehab floor is Fi and she is amazing. She has everything scheduled for you before you know you need it and has transportation to and from appointments as well. All of the staff was very friendly and easy to communicate with. If a loved one needs rehab and Congregational Home is a choice you have, choose it.

Sadly I would like to give more stars only for the caregivers, but it's not possible as a…read moreresponsible human. BEWARE this facility has had over 7 Director's of Housing in the last 4.5 years. The bar is extremely low. If your loved one is in need of actual assistance, say Level 2 or 3 acuity they are not equipped nor willing to care in a dignified manner. My mother moved here in early 2020 with the same level of care needs as when she was forced out in late 2024. The current housing director, Candice, began a campaign to kick her out in June 2024 using emotional abuse, retaliation and bullying tactics. She repeatedly entered her room without permission and told her she was "feeble, and too much work." She insulted and dehumanized my mother and instructed caregivers to strip her of care needs she had been receiving for years. While some caregivers complied with these dehumanizing instructions, others did not (thank you to the few and shame on the rest!) In addition, the food is of low quality, with the same basic menu repeated every week. Bland picnic food such as hotdogs and potato chips are served multiple times a week with nary a vegetable in sight. There is NO DESIGNATED CLEANING STAFF. The caregivers are expected to clean the rooms on top of all of their other duties. This is simply not possible so please enjoy filthy rooms in unhygienic conditions. I am consciously choosing not to name caregivers in this post as I fear retaliation for them. But my hope is that if you have a vulnerable or disabled senior in your life you will read this review and look for another location for your loved one. Otherwise, plan on visiting MULTIPLE times a week/month until they make serious changes in management and find a competent Director of Housing. What a sad and disgraceful end for my family at this residence.
