We have used services from Touching Hearts for over a year and had a very positive experience with two aides. We thought the first was very good and were disappointed when she left to return to school. Our second aide has been fantastic! She does far more than is expected with laundry and light housekeeping and is excellent in her rapport and skills dealing with my husband. While I have had two minor issues with one office staff, on the whole, the office staff has been helpful and cooperative when I've asked to add or change the aides hours on short notice. read more

Disappointed with Touching Hearts. We used their service for over a year but had plenty of struggles during that time. Office staff came to house and promised they could care for my father. Had caregivers that hid pills others didn't give pills as instructed. Other caregivers were inexperienced and were more suited to act as a companion than a caregiver but during all these issues, we were still billed for caregiving rate. When I would talk to office staff about the caregivers not caring for my dad as they promised, they would make excuses for staff and point the finger at us the client. They also stopped filling certain shifts after they said they could handle the hours. They left me struggling to move my obligations around so my mom would not be left on her own to care for my dad. Make sure you keep track of your deposit. We gave them over $2,000 for a deposit and they did not credit that deposit on our final invoice. Luckily I kept records and deducted the deposit from the final invoice. The office staff never called to apologize for their $2,000+ oversight. Never heard from them after I gave them notice we were going with a different service. If I treated my customers the way Touching Hearts treated my parents and myself, I would have lost my job. read more

Our family has had an excellent experience with the caregivers from Touching Hearts. Their help has made such a difference in the quality of life for my father-in-law, who has dementia. Typically we have a consistent rotation of the same 3 women- all very kind, caring and who go above and beyond to help in any way they can. We try and keep a strong line of communication open between the caregivers and my family- this helps to ensure expectations are in place and any information needed by either side is clear. Pretty satisfied with the staff, caregivers and overall attitude of everyone at Touching hearts. We understand the many issues that this appointment represents to caregivers. Visiting mom at the memory care involves not only a long drive but constant monitoring of dad's behavior with mom. What would make sense at this point is a face to face meeting (scheduled so we could attend) at John's house to review procedures and success of paperwork. We feel that sometimes the caregiver on duty has not read the previous day's notes to inform what they should focus on. We also need a caregiver to be responsible for hearing aide cleaning twice per week, as well as someone to keep an eye on grocery shopping. Whew...we know we are labor intensive...we welcome calls any time from caregivers that have concerns... read more
