It has recently undergone renovations but still in traditional theming. I've been many times and the Pho is amazing, very authentic. This time, however, I was with a colleague and her young son so we had child friendly food - fresh friend spring rolls, chicken with cashew nuts and mushrooms (the owner was kind to add vegetables for me for no extra cost), and crispy chicken, moist chicken with a crispy skin, side of oyster sauce and rice. All very tasty, very fresh and quickly served. Probably one of the best restaurants in Waverley. Not too expensive either.

It's small so definitely need to book for dinner, but usually fine to call a couple of hours in advance. Service is warm and attentive without being overwhelming. The decor is like walking into their family room, pictures on ledges, a lucky cat, magazine rack.. But don't be fooled - the food is fantastic. My top recommendations are definitely the pho (beef noodle soup with fresh herbs), whole deep fried fish with fish sauce, lemongrass, lemon and chili sauce, the fresh pork & prawn rolls and the chicken salad. But that's because we use it as our 'guilt-free' healthy dinner option (maybe except for the whole, fried fish, though it's surprisingly non-greasy). But the caramelised fish and the hot pots are lovely as well. BYO and take away are an added bonus. Try it and it'll become a staple!

It's family run and the best deal going around is the $12 pick'n'mix, where you can choose any 4 things from the hot and cold food bar, including fish and salads and you have to get the shepherds salad, I'm ordering you, it's that good. Always get eat in because you get more food that way, they stack your plate high up like it's some kind of Food Jenga.

Then there's the chicken. Taste is a charcoal chicken shop with a difference - It's all grain-fed, natural, non bleached, chemical free, cage free chickens. You can buy a whole chook, half or quarter or get a scrummy chicken burger. There's also a host of other burgers and a selcetion of curry's, pastas, and noodle dishes as well. But for me it's all about the salads, there's noodle salads, cous cous saldas, pasta salads, tofu salads, greek, caesar, tuna, thai beef, chickpea, wonton and of course quite a few chicken salads. There's tables inside the store and outside on the street if you decide to eat-in.

Enjoyed eating their delicious gourmet burger while enjoying the views of Bondi beach…read more We decided to try this place out because my boyfriend wanted to try Kangaroo meat while visiting Australia. Kangaroo was on their menu and that's what caught our eye on this place. PARKING: There's parking at Bondi beach, so if you park there, you can cross the street to this place. Otherwise there may be some street parking. I did not observe any designated lot for his restaurant. SERVICE: The lady at the counter was nice. Not sure if my American accent made it difficult for her to comprehend some of the questions I asked her, but she was still nice and courteous towards us. Basically everything I asked her, her reply was, "yes it is good." PRICE: So their burgers were a little pricey... about $15 - $20 for a burger, however, the quality was great and their buns are Gluten Free!! Totally worth the price. The burgers did not come with sides so you do pay extra for fries. FOOD: My boyfriend ate the Kangaroo burger which he enjoyed. He had no complaints at all. I had their Black and White Burger which was their beef burger. It was a bit messy to eat so towards the end I had to use a knife and fork to finish it. The egg and tomato relish just got deliciously messy. ATMOSPHERE: It's a nice casual spot to enjoy a burger. Walk in, order at the counter and they bring the food to you. There's a nice view of Bondi beach and you can choose to eat either inside or outside their restaurant. Perfect setting in that area. I'm definitely we ran into this place while cruising Bondi Beach. Definitely a great spot to have a burger!!!

Though Bronte Beach had only a small row of shops, they looked low-key and inviting, so I made a small detour to see what I could see. Pure Bronte Pistachio was a shady cafe; a little dark but clean and brightly-colored inside. Most importantly, they had smoothies on the menu - just what I needed. I ordered their mango-flavored version and sat. When it arrived, my smoothie was different than expected - more of a liquid yogurt version; not unlike a mango lassi, but thicker and slightly sweeter. It wasn't the best smoothie ever, but it hit the spot. Being well after the lunch hour, I had the place to myself. A quiet spot to read my book and sip my drink before continuing on my way. Places to go.

Its pint sized interior is deceiving though, for there is nothing but big heart and ample options for a delicious feed on the hoof. Surely, there can be fewer nobler challenges than trying each and every signature Sabbaba pita roll over a period of time. Such is the allure for a falafel lover of the sight of 20 odd different types of falafels, each inspired by a place. The Tunisian is an absolute winner especially if you're a fan of chilli, sweet potato and babaganoush. Sabbaba Bondi Junction is welcoming, warm and maintains that slightly hip feel of its bigger Bondi Beach sibling. There is always a funky tune on the go and some friendly faces to help you out. It's the kind of place where you could easily lose a few hours reading a newspaper or playing a game of backgammon - if you manage to grab one of the few available seats. If it's just some great, good value takeaway food you're interested in, you'll have one of the best falafels in town in your hand in no time at all. Oh, and the coffee is great too.
