I wish I could rate lower. I was on my way to help a teenager who wanted to commit suicide. They got the address wrong. First call, I told him how to find me. Even gave them other company names right across the street to find me. 2nd call, I texted map directions from Google maps. Third call. He went 5 miles the wrong way. 4th call he claimed I gave the wrong address. 5th call, 1 hour and 41 minutes later and 38 minutes from the first call, they cancelled on me. I called the office manager (6th) call. Explained situation, they easily tried to blame their inability to find any one of the addresses I gave them on my credit card company. No morals. No ethics. After reading these reviews, I'm not surprised. The guy who towed my car was rude and ill mannered. He was so late, I ended up waiting two hours for him to arrive and when he did, he didn't even say hello, just asked me for my keys. He was prob upset because Honda called him asking him where he was. And frustrated that he couldn't find where I was located but that's not my fault. I gave them the address. I told him that the least he could do is be polite! No response. After putting my car on the truck, he got in the truck and didn't even let me know that he was ready to go. Really dude? So I get in the truck and I'm on the phone complaining about waiting so long and he says to me "Do you want me to pull over and drop your car off on the side of the road and you'll wait another two hours?' Wow! Clearly you don't know how to interact with people or know what good customer service is all about. Nationwide schedule my car to be picked up by Broadway. Truck arrives at 6:40 pm and is schedule to be dropped off 1.2 miles from my home. Upon waking and calling shop I am told car never arrived. Call nationwide at 830am, towing com0any informs us that the driver claims she never picked up car. No invoice was submitted. I explained that we had video and pictures. I wish it was possible to award zero stars. The other reviewers didn't lie- service is nonexistent and the receptionist was extremely rude. Asking her for a quote to more than one location was too much for her to handle so she hung up the phone. After finding out they were the only place nearby that would tow a motorcycle I called back (8:00 pm)and was told to wait an hour. An hour and a half later, I call back and I am informed the driver will be right there. I called a final time at 10:00 pm only to be placed on hold for over 15 minutes. Similar to previous reviews, called roadside assistance through our insurance and was told we would be picked up within the hour, receiving a confirmation text. Called the company as the hour mark hit, spoke with a rude lady on the phone who said they didn't get the request until 30 min after we got confirmation, and it would be an hour until then. Of course, then no one picked us up until 45 min after she said we would be picked up. Basically avoid them for roadside assistance unless you want to spend half your day waiting. read more

Wow....they were sent by my insurance company but if you can avoid them you should. I have been trying to get a copy of the bill for my tow for weeks now to submit to my insurance and of course they wouldn't give one when they actually towed my car. They keep saying yes they will but they never do....sounds like their vocabulary is very limited so maybe they don't understand what I am asking for. Avoid like the plague. The tow truck driver used a worn out shock cord to hold my hood down as I drove to my house with a battery booster That he installed. The cord parted; my hood flew back against the windshield and caused much damage to the car. Fortunately no one was hurt. I called the towing company, spoke to the "boss" and was told that it was MY FAULT and that "stuff happens". He then started yelling at my when I asked what they were going to do to repair the car. My car was completely dead roadside assistance asked them to bring skates but they did not! My car had to be taken to the dealership as is to find out what the problem was since this was happening too many times. He was not courteous at all!!! I called roadside assistance and unfortunately was given Broadway Towing to pick me up. After 2-1/2 hours - 4 telephone calls to roadside assistance - each with the assurance that they were "on their way and would be there in 10 minutes" - no one showed up. I have filed a formal complaint and I hope they go out of business. I never write reviews - but this prompted me to have to say something. I will complain to anyone who will listen about this company. I was alone and waiting 2-1/2 hours - while it was getting dark and the situation became dangerous. Connected through BMW Roadside Assistance when car would not start. Were supposed to tow my car 18 miles into Manhattan. Arrived too late so took car to their shop in Freeport and promised to tow into Manhattan first thing the next morning. Tipped flathead operator handsomely. Is already 8pm and still waiting. 8:20 I called asking where are they, progressive contacts them and tells me they be there in 30 mins. 30 mins pass nothing. I waited until 9. I called at 9, progressive sent me the number of the boss or whatever that man was. He had an accent and he was so very rude to me he started screaming on the phone saying that if I cant wait I should look for another tow truck. SCAMMERS AND EXTORTIONISTS!!!!!!!!!!!! NEVER USE THEM FOR A TOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have third party coverage on my Honda Accord which covers any tow up to 25 miles. Broadway towing was dispatched through my coverage, which explicity states "You will not be required to pay any additional fee or sum in addition to the contract fee when Your service is for a tow (of up to twenty five (25) miles." Broadway is aware of this contract, and after being dispatched through my third party they had the AUDACITY to call me and tell me no tow unless I pay $50 cash - non negotiable. My auto insurance roadside assistance department arranged for this company to tow me today. I had first called AAA, who I've never had a problem with in the past, but had to wait over two hours only to be told the tow service was backed up and they had engaged another company which would take another 45 minutes to get to me. Remembering I had roadside assist through my insurance and the out of pocket would be considerable less, I called AAA back and cancelled and went through my insurance. When Broadway Towing arrived the representative was very personable and thoughtful (offered me food), and made sure I understood the charges before we set off for the mechanic of my choice. He turned what might otherwise have been an unpleasant experience into pleasurable one. If you value integrity, these folks might be the ones for you. read more

Took a total of 5 hours and 3 repair person/tow trucked to get my vehicle back on the road after getting a tire blow-out. 1st driver showed after waiting 2 hrs only to NOT have a electric drill needed to get the tire lugs off. He calls office and they advice a 2nd person will come with the drill needed. 1st driver leaves wait over a hour for 2nd driver who arrives with electric drill needed to find that 1st driver striped tool that came with car and drill wasn't going to do the job. This driver then advises that car should be towed to VW dealer as they will have needed tool. I told driver wait one minute while I call VW to make sure this would work. Driver said ok got in his truck and drove away. I call office back and am now advised that it is a change of shift and they will have to send another driver when one becomes available. I asked to speak with a manager and was informed by very nice woman which I guess was dispatcher that she only one in office everyone else went home. She did try to by having new driver call me to say he was on his way. Thankfully this driver, I wish I had gotten his name was helpful. He also couldn't get the tire lugs off but was able to patch the tire and add air and get me back on the road. This company need a total overhaul with classes in customer service, repair works etc. There are plenty of other options out there. I would NEVER use this company. All dealerships in the area should heed this advise because it does effect your reputation as well! read more
