Legends has always been one of our favorites because it's consistently one of the better shows to enjoy in the area. Some type of an Elvis impersonator and Blues Brother act is ALWAYS present in any Legends lineup...and the lineup you see really does matter. This is why sometimes a Legends lineup is EPIC, while sometimes it's just "meh." That's the risk you run with Legends. On this most recent visit (my first since their relocation to their current location) we had a really strong lineup that included the Blues Brother, Alan Jackson, Steve Perry, Michael Jackson, and a 68 special leather suit Elvis . I will say, this was the first time I realized that the musicians aren't actually playing live music but merely pantomiming to a recorded track...it became very entertaining after realizing that to watch how some of them really got into their role. The best example of this was Mario on the keyboards. That man was fake playing that keyboard like his life depended on it and like he was having the best day of life...he was honestly more entertaining than some of the lead entertainers...whatever Legends is paying him they need to give him a raise! If you're in Myrtle Beach and looking for a fun way to pass the evening Legends is usually a safe bet!

Each island was represented with a dance. Members of the audience were picked to go on stage and perform. Everyone had so much fun. The lighting was great everyone happy. Before they seat you they take a picture of your party which you can purchase at the end of the show. I will start with the buffet they offered a pineapple chicken dish thats was a spicy but not where you needed to drink milk . It was really delicious. I also had the white rice which they seasoned and I enjoyed that too. They also offered a Tilapia Dish and pulled pork dish. My husband had that and he enjoyed it too. It is managed by World Choice Investments LLC, a joint venture between The Dollywood Company, Fred Hardwick, and Herschend. From 1992 - 2018, the dinner theater in Myrtle Beach was home to Dolly Parton's "Dixie Stampede". In late 2018, Parton announced that the theater would be closed for refurbishment and converted into a family-friendly pirate-themed dinner show. The brand new show was designed to feature Blackbeard the pirate, a 15-foot deep 750,000 gallon pool, theatrical lighting, and rigging for acrobats. It opened to much acclaim and even features Christmas elements throughout the November and December show season. A second location opened in Pigeon Forge (TN) in May 2019, and a third opened in Panama City Beach (FL) in June 2025. My family and I recently dined at the Pirates Voyage in Myrtle Beach while we were staying in town for a few days. We had previously visited a few years back and loved it. It's essentially the pirate equivalent of "Medieval Times", but BETER! We arrived early for the pre-show, which featured a pirate sing-along with some briny buccaneers, acrobatics, and a photo opportunity with a mermaid. I enjoyed a non-alcoholic piña colada in a souvenir skull mug. For the main show, spectators are seated in areas where they must root for the sapphire pirates or the crimson pirates. We were seated in the latter section. The show features sword-fighting swashbucklers, mermaids, ghost pirates, music, special effects, acrobatics, and even live animals such as sea lions, dogs, and macaws. For Course 1, attendees are served "Voyager Creamy Vegetable Soup w/ a Buccaneer Biscuit". Course 2 features "Half O'Roasted Chicken, Swashbucklin' Sugar-Cured Ham, Cob O'Butter Corn & Matey's Mac 'N' Cheese". Dessert is a choice of "Chocolate Coconut Cake" or "Apple O' Me Eye Pie". There's nothing particularly special about the food, but I think it's safe to say that most people come for the exciting show and not for the food. Pirates Voyage is plenty of swashbuckling fun for the whole family and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Myrtle Beach!

After paying the amount we did for a KIDS show we were turned away with no refund and were told we had to pay for a dinner for a 5 month old that cannot even eat that food. I will never come back to this overpriced dinner show again, save your money and do something else with your kids. If you have kids that are young don't even waste your time.

They have a concession stand on the first floor with popcorn, candy and drinks. The view from center balcony was pretty good and I can say that no secrets of how they do the show were revealed. No "oops I saw the trap door". The show itself was entertaining with a few "wow! How did he do that moments". My husband likes doing magic card tricks and was impressed by a few of tricks, and he's a hard critic lol. The kids loved it.
