The feast begins with a biscuit so warm and buttery it could only be baked by the Paula Deen of southern pirates. The main course includes tender "seagull". (Locals say it tastes suspiciously like chicken... but who be I to question a pirate?) As for the show? No expense was spared. From the impressive stage mechanics and décor to the costumes and cast, this was a top-tier production, me hearties. I came during the holidays and was treated to a pirate-themed twist on A Christmas Carol -- who knew? So if ye be feenin' for a hearty meal, a swashbucklin' good show, and a chance to channel yer inner scallywag, grab a seat, loosen yer belt, and raise your goblets.

Myrtle Beach none of the actors sing the songs like the other locations just lip sing . The acting and acrobatics are great just the lip singing takes away so much from the show . We always pay for the vip and the other locations open the doors and seat the vip's first and then the next groups as follow . This one they opened the doors and just let everyone flood in and nobody helps you find your seating . There were multiple other VIP groups who paid for the VIP that also did not get their meet and greet . We were all told to go up stairs to a section and wait for the meet and greet , all groups waiting never got their meet and greet . We all waited until doors opened and we were told to go find our seats . Complete disaster for seating and complete disappointment not getting the meet and greet we paid for , 4 tickets for VIP are not cheat . The photos at this location were shot on cellphones and they still charge you thru the roof absurd pricing for them . The one picture was $36 (I believe )for the cell phone photo . The server we had Shaq (yes like the basketball player's name ) was an amazing server , very attentive , polite , joked , played the part and an all around awesome guy . Food was consistent like the other locations . This location was definitely better at cleaning up plates and such that both the other locations . The pre show was pretty good at Myrtle . Though I love a good comedy show, my preferred way to enjoy them nowadays has been on Netflix or even YouTube so this would be a pleasant change of pace for sure. Once you were seated in the main event space of the club you were required a two drink or two food item minimum and since I no longer drink, I was glad to find a few decent food items to enjoy during the sets. In addition to the large Sprite I had an order of their hot pretzels and the mozzarella cheese with tomato and basil. The wait staff was friendly and kept checking to see if anything was needed across the night. My mom had some kind of dip and I think my pop had the same thing. We were there to see comedian Greg Morton who secured some popularity after appearing as a contestant on America's Got Talent. He's quite good and does a number of character voices. I can say that some of his routine is a little spicy in the language dept but that didn't offend me at all. He also did some costume impressions and one of the funniest was his Tina Turner. I wasn't expecting that at all. A Gripe. Though their club policy is no refunds, a member of our party had fallen ill and was no longer coming. This is not a cancellation that should not be honored in some fashion. The person wasn't planning on being sick and its not cheap for some of the shows. The venue should have at least offered some of the entrees or a round of drinks to make good on this. It would have been nice and I ALMOST dropped my score to a "3" because of it but I chose to leave it alone. I understand policies for sure but some circumstances should be worked out a little differently. So I did have a good time but will I return? That's unlikely since I not only live so far away in NYC but I also prefer live music events, theatre and conventions over comedy happenings. Of course if its comedy or sports will go for comedy. If you really go for this stuff then you should check out the Comedy Cabana as I don't think there is another club like it. Don't quote me on that though since I can only do so much exploring in a few days visit.

First off, very beautiful venue, easy to find the seats and where the seats are located. Outside looks like an old time opera house, they do have stairs though. Inside they have a little gift shop and food stand. While entering the smell of popcorn fills the hall. Ticket attendents got the line moving and was pleasant. Got inside and the seats were comfy. As for the show, itself Killer Queen, didn't really like it as much, and for starters the band didn't open with a familiar song like Bohemian Rhaspsody. In my opinion a good show starts with 1 or 2 familar songs, then in the middle have a few new hits that may be unheard of, then close with another 2 popular songs. to add from Queen I only know of songs like Bohemian Rhaspsody, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions- now while those were played-- waited until the very end to hear them. Also the band had to pull everyone out of their seats multiple times- and I mean if one plays a popular song, we will automatically get up and dance! Also to add, background- I remember in the Queen Movie they showed how to do the dance of both We Will Rock You, and Radio Ga Ga- show it in the background so that the audience can do it! or have a band member do it! Will admit for me, I'm more than likely to spend my money on a show based on a band that I know- like Taylor Swift, The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Backstreet Boys, to name a few! Would be cool to have shows like that at this theatre! Anyways, despite this experience, we may be back for another show!

Before they seat you they take a picture of your party which you can purchase at the end of the show. I will start with the buffet they offered a pineapple chicken dish thats was a spicy but not where you needed to drink milk . It was really delicious. I also had the white rice which they seasoned and I enjoyed that too. They also offered a Tilapia Dish and pulled pork dish. My husband had that and he enjoyed it too. There was also curly fries and a salad offering too. The desserts where ok - they were individual cakes slices a few varieties that they offered up in pretty round holders, they were definitely store bought. They were good but not exceptional. The Buffet is all you can eat. They offer Iced Tea and Water with buffet. All other drinks you have to pay for. The Show itself was Amazing. Watching how they interacted with each other was really enjoyable. You could feel the camaraderie among them. The Dancers were Amazing and Graceful. Wish I could move like that. I definitely would recommend if your on Vacation or Live here its a experience you shouldn't miss. I have posted some pictures for you to view.

My folks are not the photo takers that I am so if they did this and I didn't recall the mention, there is no photo evidence to the matter so here we go. Presented at the St. John's Inn, the event takes over what appeared to be the entire inside event space. Once the line moved the crowd inside we were greeted by staff in traditional garb and handed leis. Another person played a ukelele to welcome everyone and it set the mood. Inside were all the tables, the stage of course and a small gift shop with items that had an island flare along with a pay per drink bar. The food was set up as a buffet and there was some pork, a fish dish, chicken along with a couple of vegetables and some rice. Some have balked about this being all that was set up to eat but I was actually okay with it. I admit that I thought there would be more along the lines of seafood but I am fussy about that stuff for the most part. The emcee/host was also a part of the musical group that performed a few radio hits with an island flair and I got a kick out of this and then it was time for all of the island presentations. It's difficult to describe it all but there was lots of hula being done by lovely dancers, along with a menacing Haka dance. Then a pause in the night happened while a protective netting was set up between the stage and the patrons and this was done to prevent any accidents with the batons and assorted other items that were used during the fire performance. This was a super exciting part of the night and I give credit the performers for their skills and amazing display. My high rating was mainly because I had a really fun time and had never been to anything like this before in my life. If you're visiting Myrtle Beach and can secure a spot at this show its a worthwhile event. I was able to be sitting closer to the stage which made it all the more thrilling. Thanks for reading.

It was challenging to agree upon a show as two of our guests were international visitors, and were less familiar with the English-language lyrics of popular American songs. We decided upon the ICONIC show, because it was described as a family-friendly musical variety show. My husband and I twisted arms a bit as we were familiar with the theatre having visited there years ago to see a different show ("One"). The ICONIC show was high energy, featuring a cast of highly talented musicians, dancers, a comedian, and even aerialists. The show featured country hits, classic rock anthems, Broadway favorites, and pop ballads, all professionally choreographed and with frequent costume changes. Stunt comedian Max Winfrey, who was featured on America's Got Talent, provided comedic relief between sets. The show was about two hours of non-stop entertainment. All four of us, even our international guests, enjoyed it. The Alabama Theatre, founded in 1993, was clean and comfortable, with excellent acoustics. The temperature in the venue was comfortable in late September. We were in orchestra seats (section B, row 5), but there wasn't a bad seat in the house. The theatre is in Barefoot Landing, where patrons could avail themselves to pre-show dinners or shopping. Parking is free and plentiful. Our orchestra tickets were $54.95 each, including taxes and fees. They do not offer senior, military, AAA or AARP discounts. (We did see a brochure that advertised a summer special wherein 2 kids aged 16 and under are allowed per paid adult). No refunds or exchanges are allowed. Our rating for the experience is 4.5, rounded up to 5.0. A few minor things prevented a true 5.0 rating. (1) Upon entering, we were unknowingly directed to table where the gentleman tried to sign us up for a timeshare presentation at Wyndham Resorts; and (2) some of the actors seemed uncomfortable in the costumes and were seemingly "just going through the motions" in some of the later musical selections, especially the Under the Sea/Ariel and Aladdin ones. We would visit the Alabama Theatre again when next in the N. Myrtle Beach area.

Legends has always been one of our favorites because it's consistently one of the better shows to enjoy in the area. Some type of an Elvis impersonator and Blues Brother act is ALWAYS present in any Legends lineup...and the lineup you see really does matter. This is why sometimes a Legends lineup is EPIC, while sometimes it's just "meh." That's the risk you run with Legends. On this most recent visit (my first since their relocation to their current location) we had a really strong lineup that included the Blues Brother, Alan Jackson, Steve Perry, Michael Jackson, and a 68 special leather suit Elvis . I will say, this was the first time I realized that the musicians aren't actually playing live music but merely pantomiming to a recorded track...it became very entertaining after realizing that to watch how some of them really got into their role. The best example of this was Mario on the keyboards. That man was fake playing that keyboard like his life depended on it and like he was having the best day of life...he was honestly more entertaining than some of the lead entertainers...whatever Legends is paying him they need to give him a raise! If you're in Myrtle Beach and looking for a fun way to pass the evening Legends is usually a safe bet!
