When we pulled up the gas station was busy but we didn't have to wait because they had so many gas pumps. The fuel prices here were reasonable and it was great that they had a large convenience store as well as a 24-hour carwash. The other nice thing was that it was conveniently located off the highway unlike some other gas stations that take forever to get find. The convenience store itself was big, well stocked, and clean. The employee was very polite, and the bathrooms were really clean as well. In the end this was a typical Mobil gas station plus some. That is due to the fact they did such a great job of taking care of the ground and the convenience store. Not a bad place to stop if you're looking for some fuel!

I may be spent 10 minutes in doing so there was no one waiting for me there were four pumps free, I was doing what was necessary for my immediate travel. As I'm finishing up the clerk comes out and tells me that I need to leave because if it's not a car wash and that I was trespassing. This was so out of right field and it took me a minute because I thought she was talking to someone else or something might have been wrong with her. I asked her if she was speaking to me and she said "Yes I want you to leave right now your trespassing! This is not a car wash and I want you to leave". She said it 3 times! So I told her to call the police as I was doing nothing wrong and she was kind of harassing me. I'm not the type of person to engage in confrontation so she could clearly see I started finishing up and got into my car. She then gets on the phone and God knows who she was calling but she comes right up to my car and starts circling around it. I wanted to actually wait for the police to arrive but had things to do. This place has the rudest customer service I've never seen anything like it. Again there was nobody reading there is actually someone in the car two pumps away laughing at her and telling me to ignore her. She was about maybe 18 years old and I'm 50 years old so I wasn't about to waste any more time engaging with her or explaining that I've ever right to be doing what I'm doing as this is a car facility that offers tools to wash your windows I don't know if it's because I wasn't using them and I was just using Windex but it was a very weird experience. She was a large dark haired dark-skinned young lady so if you go there and see her, be careful,.she is combative,. probably due to boredom and I don't think she realizes what a gas station is used for. I didn't even go inside! There was nothing to justify her behavior.

I'm still craving soda because I wasn't able to get one. It must be incompetent cashier day since this cashier was dumber than the one I dealt with at Trucchi's earlier. I go in and get a cup for my pepsi which I'd been craving for awhile, put the ice in and noticed they'd changed the ice when they changed the soda machine, but it was still good ice.. so I was happy. Added the pepsi and took a sip.. it tasted funny.. took another sip to be sure.. yep, still tasted funny, assuming they mixed up the diet pepsi and the regular. I can't drink diet because of an allergy to the additive. Dumped that out, rinsed out the cup and put just a little pepsi in without ice, took a sip.. yeah, definitely didn't taste right. dumped it and instead of trying the diet, I figured I'd try coke instead.. its the same thing.. Coke comes out clear. They're batting a thousand with me today. Dumped the clear coke in the sink. Tossed the cup at that point and grabbed a smaller cup and filled with ice and sprite. took a sip, tasted fine. not what I wanted but I wanted a cool drink. Get to the register and checked out the lottery tickets. Aside for 5 of the number (I forgot what it was now) and the kid looks at me like I have 2 heads. I'm like.. scratch tickets? next to you.. he still looks like he has no clue why hes there. so I repeat myself.. 5 of number whatever and this soda. Hes scratching his head trying to figure out something. I was just like ":oh forget it" and walked out. Theres so many people looking for jobs, maybe they should hire someone who has a clue. In the past I've gone there for soda and scratch tickets to be waited on by rude employees, waited for 5 minutes once for an employee to start the gas pump when I had adequate amount on my card and I shouldn't have had to wait at all. Another time I had to wait but I had children in the car and I wasn't leaving them or dragging them into the store so I left and went to the Mobil down the road, which is what I usually do now for gas. The customer service in this store sucks now, theres one girl that used to be there during the day, she probably got smart and left, which is too bad for Speedway because she was the only one who seemed to know what she was doing and she managed to do her job AND be nice to the customers. Tonight was my last time.

I never ever write a review but this is necessary…read more The male staff (he works at night) who works at Mobil on Winthrop St is unprofessional, rude and threatened to call the cops on me because I threw out trash in the TRASH bin next to the pump after filling up my tank. He yelled at me to take it back and " you don't leave your trash here." I let him know I would not be doing that and left. He makes his own hours which doesn't reflect the posted hours. On another occasion, I went there for gas and was approached by the same male staff as I was in my car talking on the phone before getting out to pump gas. It was around 8:45pm. I didn't think he was outside at the pump for me (because why would he be??? It's self-serve!) so I continued on with my phone call and before long he knocked at my window!! He wanted to know why I was still in my car and told me he's closing the store and as I looked around cars continued pulling in for gas. I was speechless and confused that this man was actually out here acting like a fool but never said a peep to the other cars. He went back in the store because customers were walking in. The last incident happened 2 weeks ago. I did not get gas and I didn't go inside. I was there to use the car wash. I drove behind the building and stopped at the kiosk to pay and pick a package. Just as the door was lifting up and I started to pull forward I looked in my rear view mirror and it was the same male staff walking up from behind me. I pulled forward and the door shut just in time and he wasn't able to get in but stood at the garage door just staring in at me. Talk about creepy and I will never go back to this place.
