One of the 2 Walpole Mobil gas stations, this one is located on Route 1 at the Route 27…read moreintersection. It's very comparable to a normal gas station, or to the other nearby Mobil on Route 1A, or the Mobil further down Route 1 in Norwood, yet I like both of those stations better. Why, you ask. They are both cheaper, 99% of the time. Why, again you ask. I am not 100% sure, but think it's because people coming off Interstate 95 think the first gas station is most convenient and they will spent the most for it. Plus Gulf Express across the street you have to turn left from Interstate 95, which is a pain (so many people want to get on Route 27!). Anyway, this gas station does have friendly and helpful employees inside On The Run convenience, which is definitely a plus. They have everything a normal convenience store has, yet some of their prices seem very reasonable (maybe they're worried people will go to Walmart 1 minute away?). So all in all, good gas station, and very convenient from the highway. 5 stars.

It is one of the "modern" Cumberland farms, and it is big,spacious and well lit. It doesn't have the depressing vibe of an old school 7/11. Secondly, their gas prices are pretty reasonable, especially compared to the other gas stations in Walpole. It's not a bad option for filling up. Lastly, their Service staff are friendly and professional, and they do a nice job of keeping the shop clean and well maintained. The coffee is always fresh and hot; that's half the battle for me!

I asked the employee and he said management was aware and it's been a problem for a while. This location needs to update the pumps to use a touch pad like every other station in the area. I used to spend $200 a month here on gas but have found a more consistent station. I still stop here for coffee etc but it stinks that the pumps don't work and the management does not consider it an issue. Me management may be the answer, Cumberland Farms is losing a ton on gas money.

Now, I do a good portion of my grocery shopping at Stop&Shop (the one right up the road is my most frequent stop), and inadvertently I normally buy enough to get at least twenty cents off gas at Shell, so a lot of the time I will stop here. What I like about the station is that it's convenient to the grocery store, isn't ever too busy, and the pumps are newer and always clean. The people never have issues subtracting the amount from my Stop&Shop card, and normally employees are friendly, kind, and helpful. What I don't like is how there is no store. There have now been multiple occasions where since you just walk up to the "teller", it's been freezing cold out and not ideal for waiting outside in the below zero temperatures. If I didn't have the Stop&Shop points, I would most likely go to Mobil across the street, since they have a store and the prices seem about the same as well. In closing, it's a fine stop. This Gulf is located at the intersection of Route 1 & Route 27 in Walpole. At the same intersection are both a Stop&Shop station (that sort of stinks) and a Mobil (which is good). Easy to pricematch, and at the same time, it's good competition. Most of the time, they are all around the same price. And for that matter, why wouldn't they be. Who wouldn't drive across the street and save whatever the amount was on their gas? The Stop&Shop station is in an odd location given its entrances and exits; however, it's also always the cheapest (but if you are driving on Route 1 South, you have to go way up and way down..... somewhat of a hassle. This station is hassle-free with a convenience store filled of snacks, drinks, candy, and more (they even carry beer and wine, if that's an attraction). They are open 24 hours and have an air pump as well as eight gas pumps. The lot is large enough so that there isn't ever any traffic jams, and even when busy it's still feasible to stop in. Staff are friendly usually too. There aren't any restrooms inside, just so people know. Convenient stop for gas on this side of Walpole. Mobil is normally the same price and since whenever I come out of the Walmart parking lot (once a week), that station is more convenient, so I go there more often, but this place is still good too! 4 stars.

He can barley speak any English and I herd him mumble racist coments about an elderly African American women that had just left the store after she paid for her gas in all quarters, nickels, and dimes. I watched the gentleman who was ahead of me enter the store and look for a certain beverage that they didn't have and then walk up to pay for his gas and I saw that he WAS NOT STEALING ANYTHING. The employee of the store accused him of trying to steal a drink and refused to sell him gas and told him to "get the f*** out of his store!" The gentleman claimed he was about to run out of gas and that there weren't any other gas stations around that were open at this time of night and the employee replied with "I don't give a s***, that's your problem not mine!" On days when it gets busy the front end staff do a great job guiding shoppers to open check out lanes. They even have a staff member that assists the self service line with a scanner "ring" that helps move the line along quickly. Today we were looking for a product (a Winix air purifier) that was in the store, but we couldn't seem to locate it on the floor. Two workers were nice enough to help us. They located what we were looking for and even brought it to the front for us. Thank you to Smith and Juliana for going over and above today!

The staff I interacted with were friendly and fairly efficient. The parking lot is large but could definitely benefit from additional parking spaces. This store can definitely test the strength of a relationship. Nearly every aisle I ventured down had a couple arguing. Who knew a multi pack of bounty paper towels could cause so much turmoil. Overall it was a positive experience but I definitely wouldn't recommend going on a Saturday again unless you were training to be an MMA fighter.
