This is my beautiful Zsa Zsa Montes with my other beloved kitty Marley on the cat tree.

This is by far the best pet hospital. Dr. Samuel and staff are caring and they explain everything before any service is rendered with a quote on the price. They are also very affordable. I only bring my furbabies to Dr. Samuel because he's the best. I've been bringing all rescues and furbabies to him for over 10 years. I love and trust Broadway Pet Hospital so much that I drive up from Glendora, CA (1 and 15 minute drive to and from) and also when I used to live in LA. Today I brought my beloved Zsa Zsa and she received the best care as always. Thank you Dr. Samuel and staff.

I've been going to Dr. Sam for over 6 years and highly recommend him and his team for any pet care needs. My dog, Rambo, comes here for his yearly check-ups and also had a biopsy done here. The team always goes above and beyond to make sure he's comfortable. For example, they know he doesn't like being in a kennel, so they keep him in the x-ray room instead. That level of thoughtfulness really means a lot. Dr. Sam is thorough and takes the time to explain all options, including the "what ifs" and risk factors, especially important for my senior dog. He makes recommendations without ever pushing unnecessary procedures, which I really appreciate. Their prices are affordable, and based on my experience, I've had nothing but positive interactions. I'm honestly surprised by some of the mixed reviews because our experience has consistently been great.

Highly recommend!!! We love Dr. Sam! He treated my dog, Mr. Hollywood, today, and as always, it was a great experience. The office is clean, the staff is friendly, and everyone is so kind. Dr. Sam is incredibly sweet with animals -- he sat on the floor, gave Hollywood treats, and made him feel comfortable before the exam. You can tell he truly cares. So grateful for the care and expertise.

Montgomery's health improved so much with the doctors diet suggestion.

Cannot recommend this office enough. My boy is a little bit of a challenge with major vet anxiety but every member of the staff treated him with so much patience and kindness, they were beyond gentle with him and reassuring to me in a stressful situation. They are also so fair with their pricing and transparent, truly not trying to make you spend more than you have to. I'll never go anywhere else!

"Is that a treat in your hand?"

A clean and casual yet professional office located on an easily accessed corner is the location of our new vet. The staff is easy going and welcoming helping you and your pet to relax. The vet was awesome- he sat with my dog Tuck and worked on connecting with him before starting the examination. The Doctor explained needs and options and was receptive to my feedback. This is the vet that we have been looking for.

Ask the Community - Broadway Pet Hospital

Do I need an appointment for a flea prescription?

Hi- all flea meds from this clinic are prescription strength. If the pet has not been seen by our Vet within the last year, an exam and an appointment would be required. -Chelsey

Does anyone know if they are accepting walk ins?

No. Maybe if it is urgent.

Hello, I will be getting my 8 week year old puppy in a few weeks. What are the protocols when have in person visits?

Not allowed inside, must wait outside. FYI, parking is a disaster on certain days and times. I was not informed at tune appt, drive around 20 mins and ended calling to cancel. Best wishes and congrats on your new fur baby!

Do they accept walk ins or appointments only?

Hi, it's a one doctor practice so appointments are necessary

Do they only take cash?

I paid with a card.

Do they take CareCredit?

Yes they do. I used mine to pay for spay surgery.

I brought my dog in for a routine anesthetic dental cleaning. During the procedure, I received a call saying they needed to extract four teeth and that the total would be $2,400. I've had anesthetic dental cleanings done for my dogs at multiple veterinary hospitals over the years, including procedures with extractions, and I have never paid anywhere near that amount. After my husband questioned the estimate, the cost suddenly dropped to around $1,000 for two extractions. That alone left us wondering how the original quote was determined. The pickup experience was even more disappointing. I was handed three pieces of paper with very little explanation and no medication. Every other veterinarian I've been to has sent my dog home with pain medication directly from the clinic. Instead, I was told I needed to call around to CVS and other pharmacies to find one that could fill the prescriptions. Meanwhile, my poor dog had just undergone oral surgery and was crying in pain. I had to take her home first, then immediately drive to CVS. Once there, the pharmacist spent over 30 minutes on the phone with the vet trying to clarify the prescriptions. Then came the most alarming part of the entire experience. One of the prescribed medications was rejected by the pharmacist because it contained xylitol, a sugar alcohol that is highly toxic to dogs and can be fatal if ingested. I was shocked that this prescription was written in the first place. Had the pharmacist not caught it, I could have unknowingly given my dog a medication containing an ingredient that poses a serious danger to dogs. That was the final straw. I have three dogs and recently moved to Long Beach, so I was hoping to find a veterinary clinic I could trust for years to come. Unfortunately, Pine Animal Hospital has lost what would have been a loyal customer. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this clinic and would encourage others to look elsewhere.

I was told we'd receive the results within a few days, but I never got a call and had to repeatedly follow up myself. When I finally spoke with the doctor nearly a month later, he seemed to think we had already discussed the results. I had to remind him that we had only talked about the initial findings and that the entire reason I paid for the additional review was because he recommended it. I also requested my cat's medical records and was told they would be emailed to me, but they never were. The staff were always friendly and professional, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. My concern was never the friendliness of the team, but the lack of communication and follow-through. Had the findings been more serious, the delay in follow-up could have had much greater consequences. At the end of the day, I'd rather have prompt communication than have to repeatedly chase down results while worried about my pet's health. Time for a new vet.

I really appreciated that this place was open relatively late and didn't need an appointment. Dr. Colwill and his staff were very kind and understanding, and they were very transparent about pricing. Dr. Colwill gave me two options, a lower cost one that consisted of nausea medicine and an appetite stimulant to try before getting bloodwork and X-rays done (which are way more pricey). I appreciated having the options, although the appetite stimulant didn't work well and I ended up coming back the next day (they didn't charge an exam fee on the second day, which I appreciated). They are able to perform bloodwork and an X-ray onsite, so you get results immediately. I eventually had to go to a VCA, but I appreciate their competence and friendliness at this Urgent Care.
