Lily and her favorite dog, Summer, who met her at the Rainbow Bridge. RIP sweet girls.
Michelle B.

We found ourselves in need of an urgent care vet again, this time for our 18-year old cat Lily. First, I am so grateful that this place is open for extended hours and on Sundays. Fast forward to the point of this review-LBC Vets offered a reasonable treatment plan, reviewed it with us in detail, showed the cost up front, did not pressure us to follow any of the cost-associated options, and offered us excellent customer service (by Dr. Marroquin, the vet tech staff, the front desk staff). We took Lily in on a Sunday because of bleeding in her nose. The suspected cause was 100% unlikely (rat poisoning) since Lily was an indoor, lazy cat. The next obvious cause (cancer) was very likely, but LBC Vets didn't have the equipment to perform CT Scans or ultrasounds. Lily was stable, the bleeding had slowed down, and she was fiesty/angry at me taking her off her cat bed, so we brought her back home. Once home, she began bleeding again. I called LBC Vets and they asked me to bring her back (no exam fee this time). This time, Dr. Marroquin spent quite a while with us talking about all options for a treatment plan. We felt no pressure to do or not do any of the options suggested, and the cost was clear. With her sound advice, we took Lily home again, curled up for the night, and planned to take her to our vet, Little Cottonwood/Dr. Horvath) the next day (Monday). On Monday, Dr Horvath made her comfortable (pain med, sub-Q fluids, etc.), and we found a vet with an ultrasound specialist (Primary Care, Wardlow, LB). The ultrasound showed that Lily had been transparent and brave with us while cancer had grown throughout her sweet body. With the ultrasound information, we had all of the information we needed to make the decision to let her go in peace. The end of this story is sad. Saturday Lily was screaming/yowling for her breakfast at 4 am as usual, and Sunday we were in Urgent Care discussing treatment options. We knew the day would come, and finding the right kind of care during that time is crucial. I am grateful for LBC Vet's Dr. Marroquin's, the vet tech staff, and the front desk staff's professionalism, friendliness, helpfulness during this time with Lily. With that said, the cost was reasonable for what we received at LBC Vets. Dr. Marroquin spent enough quality time with us and with Lily to prepare us to find the right services on Monday so we could make a confident decision. LBC Vets was there when we needed them and I am glad that we have their Urgent Care Services available to us.

I feel like this review is just going to make them busier but I won't gate keep. So the good is my 8yo labradoodle caught pneumonia last year. His previous vet wasn't giving him an adequate diagnosis or treatment plan and we had no idea what was really wrong but he kept getting sicker. We took him to another local vet and he still wasn't getting better so we ended up at LBC Vets. The vet's are caring and thorough. Long story longer...he was given a cocktail of meds; for which one, Theophyllyn made him even sicker. Although that was given under their care, he needed to be hospitalized and put in an oxygen chamber for 3 days. They course corrected immediately and took him off that med. He got better after about a month and a 1/2 after getting out the hospital, and we are so grateful. Cons: Parking: like others are saying, parking sucks. Be patient. Busy: Yes. It's busy. That's a good and bad thing. There is "some" parking in the back. Another Pro Tip: Their groomer (The Bark Boutique works directly at the LBC Vets office Sarah is the best doodle groomer I've found!!)

I just want to start with a BIG THANK YOU!!!! I took my very pregnant Old English Sheepdog She was in active labor and I was completely nervous even though I read and was " ready". Adriana was awesome!! Very patients and helpful. Lucy was sent home to have her puppies . But LBC Vet never let her alone! They provided helpful info and help over the phone when the pups arrived. They took the time to explain over the phone and the constant text to check on Lucy was much appreciated. We are very grateful to had found LBC Vet & the great staff!!.

Kitten in patient room

I've never had to make the trip to an emergency clinic until I got my second cat who displayed signs of constipation. The receptionist is incredibly bubbly, and even offered an alternative so that I wouldn't have to spend money. However, the alternative didn't work, and they attended my kitten shortly after. I was there for four hours with very lovely and helpful staff, and left with medication that softened my kittens stool the next day! Given how well my walk-in appointment went, this has become my go-to for emergencies. On a side note, amenities are included!

Took our 16-year-old Jack, sweet guy, but battling signs of feline cognitive dysfunction (CDS, aka cat dementia). For a simple diagnosis, my wife called ahead; they said come in. We did. They took Jack to the back right away for "vitals." Three hours later, Nothing. Zero updates. Finally, they admit: "We can't touch him, he lashes out." I offered to go back, calm him myself, he knows me. Nope. Asked for a private room so I could settle him? Still no. Like we're asking for the moon. When they finally tried vitals, it sounded brutal, as if they were torturing him. Screams, thrashing. We pulled the plug, left with a traumatized cat and wasted night. No exam, no meds, no compassion. If your pet's old, scared, or confused, steer clear. They treat animals like problems, not patients. Never again.

I brought Anakin here last week for some mysterious limping. The staff were able to get me a next day appointment instead of my needing to bring him in for an emergency visit. This location does both, so even though this place is a high stress work environment, the people are great. Give your emergency vet staff an inch of grace people. So expect to wait occasionally, and be thankful you aren't being seen immediately, it means your pet is OK! Have a complementary soda and take a breath. The staff are great about keeping you updated if you are having to wait a bit. I didn't feel pressured into unnecessary testing, I actually felt it leaned more on the conservative side. Vets and techs were great at explaining things if you had questions. Anakin was really feeling his sedation, so they kept him under observation than normal just to be on the safe side. Again, the staff were great about communication and keeping me updated with what was going on. They sent me a message the following day checking in to see how Anakin was feeling and I was able to ask some follow up questions that the staff were able to answer. We added some meds to his treatment plan and they were great about calling me and texting me when the pills were back in stock. They gave me a really cute note on his med bag that just shows the staff going above and beyond to make me smile during a very stressful time. Can't recommend this place enough.

When are we leaving this exam room mom.

I was a big apprehensive bringing my sweet babygirl to a new vet but I had an amazing person refer me to this establishment my daughter Melissa C. She lost her precious cat Kaylee who was 18 recently Lbc Vets handled everything and provided my grand-cat top tier medical treatment until the end it was a difficult time but my daughter had a team of staff who made her comfortable letting go after treatment was no further use. She later adopted three kittens who she calls the triplets Daisy Tulip and Summer and Lbc Vets is where she chose to start their journey and the kittens are very much loved by the staff. My fur baby Dylan Monroe who despises the vet needed a full standard checkup and two vaccinations. The clinic was very clean they offered me water coffee or soda while I waited and the staff was very nice I saw someone clean the room before we went inside and the vet tech we had was wonderful she had a very calming personality was very helpful and made my nervous baby less anxious while I answered intake questions afterwards she took Dylan to get weighed and my babygirl survived. Lol The vet came in and gave Dylan a full exam Dylan did great she gave me advice on Dylan's weight stating that she needs to lose 5 pounds she also gave me tips on food nail trims grooming dental care and information re flea meds etc including giving me me websites information to research. She offered to give Dylan her vaccinations in the room with me to help calm her I thought that was very kind and opted not to because I'm too emotional with my baby and let them take her to the back Dylan for her vaccinations and she did great. The physical exam and two vaccinations came to $144 not too bad they told me what to look out for after treatment and we headed home Dylan will definitely stay with this vet I like their style and the level of care they put towards their clients and parents. Our journey has just begun with this new veterinary clinic and I couldn't be more excited and highly recommend Lbc Vets. Just me Shawn C. & Dylan Monroe.

Ask the Community - Lbc Vets

I am adamant that I be in-room with my dogs for everything possible vs having them "taken in the back" (eg. in-room blood draws, in-room ear cleaning/medication administration, in-room exams)- will LBC Vets accommodate that?

Absolutely not! They would not allow me pass the lobby. Makes you think they have something to hide which I'm sure they do because I will never step foot into that place ever again after what they did to me and my animal. Don't trust them alone with… Read more

They ran urine and blood tests as well as x-rays. Her urine and blood results came out normal so she may have just had an infection that went away. However, they noticed a metal bottle cap in her stomach! Ocean often eats random things off the ground but she wouldn't have eaten a bottle cap unless it was in some food! Regardless, they tried a method and thought she would be able to pass it in the next couple of days. Well, a whole week passed and it didn't. So, we took her back and they needed to surgically remove it. The procedure seemed to go smoothly. We picked her up at the end of the day and she was still out of it, but relieved to come home and was able to drink and eat. We gave her medications as prescribed. The incision was about 9 inches across Ocean's belly. We did our best to keep it covered, but she did scratch it a bit. At her follow up appointment, they removed the sutures and provided antibiotics and a solution to keep it clean. At her third follow up, they provided antibiotics and ointment for the redness, but she healed pretty well in a matter of weeks. They said going through the esophagus would have damaged it, so this was the best approach to getting the bottle cap out. As a souvenir, they gave us the cap in a ziplock bag and we could see that it was starting to rust. They were great about calling and checking up on her and they did an excellent job stitching her back up. They gave us an estimate range of the cost prior to the procedure and luckily, it was on the lower end, but still a dent in our wallets. Ocean was a champ through this healing process despite not knowing what had even happened to her! Thanks again to the team here for helping Ocean out!

Our regular vet initially gave antibiotics and medication, and he said if it happens again, we should take her to the hospital for more test as he was thinking there was something in her bladder like stones. When the symptoms returned a week later, we knew we had to take her to the hospital. Since our usual clinic doesn't offer urgent care, we searched and found this hospital on Google. They were able to see us the same day. The front desk staff was very kind and welcoming, and even though the place is currently remodeling, everything still felt organized and efficient. They performed an X-ray, blood test and urinalysis, found a bladder stone, and clearly explained the situation and treatment options. Because the stone was too large to pass naturally, surgery was recommended. They walked us through the procedure, provided a clear estimate, and scheduled surgery for the very next day. The entire visit took about 3 hours, and we felt our dog was in very good hands the whole time. She is now on the road to recovery, and we're so grateful for the care she received. We also appreciate that this hospital is closer to home -- we've definitely found our new vet. Thank you to the whole team for taking such good care of our girl.

Thank you for reaching out and listening to our concerns. I would like to sincerely thanks Ambassador and their sister location, All American Animal for showing compassion during our recent visit on 02/24/2026. We are long-time patients of this clinic and have always trusted the team with our dogs' care, which is why we continue to come here whenever our pets are not feeling well. We brought Kino in because he was experiencing excessive itchiness, redness, vomiting, and was clearly in discomfort. Despite the office being very busy, we truly appreciated the time that Dr. Meina took to see him and make sure he received the treatment he needed. From the moment we were brought in, he listened attentively as I explained Kino's symptoms and concerns. It meant so much to feel heard and understood, especially when your pet is clearly not feeling well and in distress. Dr. Meina took the time to thoroughly assess Kino's condition and explain the available treatment options, ensuring we felt comfortable and informed with the plan of care. His patience, professionalism, and compassion helped make an already stressful situation much easier for both us and our dog. I would also like to thank Marisol, the manager, who reached out after we addressed our concerns and helped refer us to their sister clinic's urgent care so that Kino could receive the care he needed as soon as possible. Despite some initial misunderstanding, the office took the time to listen to our concerns and worked with us to find a way to assist in getting Kino the care he needed. That level of communication and willingness to help truly made a difference. Veterinarians and their teams play such an important role in relieving pain, managing illness, and ensuring our pets are comfortable and safe. We love this clinic and appreciate the dedication the staff shows to their patients and families. Thank you again to Dr. Meina and Marisol for taking the time to listen, support us, and make sure Kino received the care he needed.

I've been here a few times, but my latest experience has me looking for a different vet…read more I brought my senior cat in for a cough and completed the testing the doctor recommended, including a $300 second-opinion review after he noticed something that he felt needed further evaluation. I was told we'd receive the results within a few days, but I never got a call and had to repeatedly follow up myself. When I finally spoke with the doctor nearly a month later, he seemed to think we had already discussed the results. I had to remind him that we had only talked about the initial findings and that the entire reason I paid for the additional review was because he recommended it. I also requested my cat's medical records and was told they would be emailed to me, but they never were. The staff were always friendly and professional, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. My concern was never the friendliness of the team, but the lack of communication and follow-through. Had the findings been more serious, the delay in follow-up could have had much greater consequences. At the end of the day, I'd rather have prompt communication than have to repeatedly chase down results while worried about my pet's health. Time for a new vet.
